I agree with you and think this subs reaction might be over the top. Is she talking about how somebody traumatised by an event can lead to them repressing it or them not remembering exact details about it? Nah this is clearly her excusing people who make false rape claims. We need more context before going all crazy about it

So you're okay with us sacrificing ourselves for women as it's an evolutionary thing but you're not okay with people treating you differently? I thought this sub was about gender equality and bringing attention to male issues, such as toxic masculinity and evolution reinforcing the belief that we should sacrifice ourselves, not saying we should be treated like shit because evolution says were expendable.

So what argument are you trying to make? I agree you're right but how does this mean we should put more value on male life? If anything it sounds like you support a culture based on logic and evolution meaning it's fine for guys to die for women

I agree it isn't explicit and it's very much reinforced by people actions and how they treat others. We can't put that all on women though. Men also teach these values. It's just something both sexes have to work on which is why it's a societal problem

That doesn't mean that all women teach men that their lives are worth less than womens like you implied in your first message? Also that's a whole lot of generalisation you're doing there haha. There's a vocal minority who do do that yes, but most conversations about gender I've had with girls don't go that way at all

I think it's more a societal thing rather than something you can pin just on women. It's not just girls who use phrases like man up etc

Don't they have a problem with male abuse and homicide towards women in relationships already though? If it was a general law then I'm 100% behind you, that is ridiculous, but surely this is just a reaction to try and reduce the high levels of this sort of homicide regardless of gender?
