I was asked aome time ago to expand on money issues; I'll drop those suggestions now.. . Real estate. Unless you have some special talent such as software engineer, invent a better mouse trap, are an exceptionally gifted professional (lawyer, doctor who also owns business infrastructure for example) or executive over achiever in your bureaucracy, I doubt highly you will get wealthy without real estate. You need it. Is it possible to scrimp and save, make maybe 1, 2 million you can draw down in r…

Quite a bit due to local conditions, I live in CA. Bubble conditions are also useful to watch. Where I live mountains and oceans constrain the growth. Only place to go is up. Other areas such as Dallas Ft Worth, your cost of dirt is cheap, only real price constraint is replacement cost (construction) but tenants much more flighty. Stock market is largely a function of fed discount window policy. To make money, serious money, you need LEVERAGE. Leverage comes in 2 forms: a. People .. employees or consultants/contractors you control and profit from (I prefer contractors- easier to "kite" or dispose of than employees and..b. Money ..preferably other people's. Mortgage…

El Gran Jamon is older than you, in my 50's. Whatever cognitive disconnect you are having with what the proper "make" response should be is unimportant. No one leaped or swung at you. That said, a 2,3 year old has no business being in public out of quick reach by a parent. Many years ago, I parked my Scout at the airport, unloaded my 2 year old daughter, then turned to get my head sets and flight bag . In the blinked an eye she was gone, tore ass out to the street, a car honked, barely missing h…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
