You make a strong argument. I’ve never hired a prostitute. Hell I don’t even know how to find a prostitute. But having been through what I’ve been through, maybe next time I’m feeling lonely, rather than hitting the dating apps, maybe I need to do some research and figure out how to rent rather than buy. At least then there’s no ambiguity to whether or not I’ll get laid. Also no danger of having to buy her a house.

Damn dude….it sucks that we all have such similar stories. Apologies if I came across as being a dick. Wasn’t my intent. I guess I’m still bitter. But I get your point. I guess I just took issue with the idea that men are at any point loved unconditionally. I think it’s very conditional. Having said that-it’s wild to me how we’ve all seen those couple where the woman is seemingly put together (she has a career, takes care of herself, has friends, doesn’t drink too much, etc) but will be shacked …

I disagree that men are loved unconditionally. Even with plenty of money and an easy life for the woman, they’re still hyper aware of their men doing anything they decide is problematic. The slightest transgression on the man’s part (even if completely innocuous) and the woman will decide he’s a bad guy and will tell her girlfriends about the terrible thing the man did. The girlfriends will then reinforce the idea that he is awful and pretty soon the man will be served with divorce papers and a …

Just like Al Gore....wasn’t Miami supposed to be underwater by like 2010? Oh and let’s not forget about Leonardo DiCaprio flying around the world on his private jet to lecture everyone who dares to drive a car rather than walking or riding a bicycle. I’m a scuba diver, avid hiker, like riding my bicycle, kayaking, swimming...I love being outdoors. And as such, I want clean air and water. I’m all about cutting things that are truly harmful when/if it makes sense. But these climate change hustlers…

Similar thing happened to me. Found out my hooker ex wife was banging her married coworker. So I divorced her. She then told all of our mutual acquaintances that I was abusive and controlling. It then turned into “well sure I cheated but he was abusive!!” That made it my fault....even though no, I never abused her at all. She just wanted to divert from the fact that she’s a whore.

Sounds like megatagging. I got attacked recently on a travel sub as being a “right wing conservative.” I replied that I never said anything about being conservative (I’m not conservative nor progressive, but rather pretty libertarian.) The guy replied that I didn’t have to say it as the megatagging shows it. No idea what this was so I looked it up. Apparently Reddit has an algorithm that tags you a certain way based on your subs. So because I joined a conservative (gasp!) sub, I guess that autom…

I have a friend like this. When I mentioned going to s concert recently he asked who I went with. I said that I went alone. His response was, “oh wow...you’re that guy?!” He then went on to explain to me how doing anything alone (movie, concert, meal, etc) is pathetic and makes you look like a loser. I explained to him that I love doing things alone. When I do things alone, they’re done completely on my terms. He shook his head and eventually gave me a very sarcastic “whatever man.”

It happens to all of us. I was kept around but would walk away only to be chased and flirted with just enough to lure me back. Eventually I married her. Guess the time was right. The marriage barely lasted two years. Good riddance.

Do you really have the urge to have kids? I mean-I don’t know your life but think about kids. Do you really want them? I’m significantly older than you but I remember being 29 and married and thinking I wanted kids because that’s what your supposed to do. After my divorce (thankfully no kids) I did some soul searching and realized I didn’t want kids. Further I realized I didn’t have to have kids. I think a lot of guys have kids without really giving it thought. It’s like it’s just what you’re su…

This is true. Look at Dave Foley (the actor.) His divorce was legendary in how he got ass blasted by the court. The amount of alimony and child support he was forced to pay was more than he was earning. That poor guy got destroyed.

This actually happened to a friend of mine. He and his wife divorced-she got full custody of their kid. He was struggling financially but paying alimony and child support. He eventually got a second job because he was struggling to live on what was left after his ex got her cut. She found out about his second job and took him back to court. Since he was now making more, he needed to pay more. The court agreed. They forced him to pay so much-along with back pay from that second income, he no long…

Same. Just leave me alone and let me do what I want. As for sexless marriages...my ex-wife: before we married, we literally had sex everyday. Some days more than once. After we got married, it went to every two weeks. I complained and asked to do it more often and she replied “it’s my body and we will have sex whenever I want.” Marriage lasted 17 months. Bye Felicia...

RE: thirsty betas...I was at a function recently and was talking to a younger woman. She was probably 21-22 maybe. She made a comment that surprised me. She said “I really don’t date much at all because so many guys my age are pussies.” She went on to tell me that so many girls her age wanted men and so many “men” her age were oversensitive beta males who were hyper feminine.

I would go to HR now rather than waiting for an accusation. Be proactive because even with a recording, you might lose. It happened to me. I had a job years ago at a factory. My job was pretty easy and I spent my day in an air conditioned building. my job was a shift job and there were two shifts and two workers. I worked my shift and a woman worked the other shift. The woman had a fiancé who worked outside on the ground crew. Hard labor, out in the hot sun all day, dirty work. He wanted to move…

Make sure you’ve served more than ten years before marriage. My understanding (someone correct me if I’m wrong) is that after ten years of service, the military doesn’t automatically award half of your pension to a former spouse.

I was in Iraq. Went over in ‘03 when the war started. I don’t know anything about the OP but a guy in my unit got hammered pretty hard by his wife while we were deployed. She drained his bank account completely. For those who might not know-when you’re active duty military and you deploy to war, your pay increases significantly. So his wife treated herself everyday for the year we were there. Additionally, she maxed all of their joint credit cards. When we returned after our deployment, he had l…
