If she held a job in porn, she has ridden the CC to unfathomable levels. She is damaged goods and not relationship worthy.

A well considered dose of reality. That said there is still a strong role for case studies and anecdotal evidence. Unfortunately people are more likely to believe a personal story than impersonal figures.

An ex flat-mate of mine was like this. She was a nice enough person, just dense and generally unaware of the world. One day she (then approx 23) told me that she wanted to have around 8 children. There is nothing inherently wrong with this but she didn't understand female fertility. I explained to her that as she hasn't started having children, hasn't met the the father and didn't intend to start for 5-10 years (finish her Bachelor, start and finish her Masters and establish herself in her indus…

Everyone is different. Everyone is a special and unique snowflake. Now picture the last snow covered mountain that you saw. How different are all of those special and unique snowflakes?

There seems to be a chain of victim according to political correctness. Gay woman > Gay man > Straight woman > Straight man

It's no news to the converted but still good to see our perspective of reality verified piece by piece.

Agreed. Feminism is on the retreat but political correctness and individual irresponsibility are on the rise.

I came to this realisation as well. I am about to leave my current position for an unknown future with no job lined up. There are some risks in this, but as I don't have any financial burdens I think that the risk is minimal. On a good day the job was bearable, but tedious. On a bad day I was miserable and bored. I justified it for a while by saying that the job enabled me to meet all of my interests out of work (which it did, I have done some great things on a personal level), but it was slowly…

I'm reading this now. It is probably the most profound shit that I've read.

I honestly don't know. The government's approach is broadly in line with RP thoughts, but it is throwing a lifeline for betas.

I'm not a lawyer (get expert advice), but I believe that you could establish a Trust where you are the Trustee and you and the child/ren are Beneficiaries. If you transfer considerable assets into there it should be out of an ex-wife's hands. However if there are no children now (which sounds like your situation) this won't work because you can't enter into an agreement with yourself. However this approach may work if you are a beneficiary to a Trust which for example your father is the Trustee.…

I understand it as being an evidence based assessment which includes a variety of factors (sharing bills, bank accounts, wills, day to day life etc as well as time). But yeah, the prenuptial agreement is rapidly becoming as meaningful as a marriage.

In Australia a LTR where you live together will probably be considered a de facto marriage, ie all the legal consequences without a ceremony.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
