Lol breastfeeding? This is how I know you don’t have a kid or never did your part with kids. My brother just so happens to have a newborn, he feeds the baby just fine with formula or with milk my sister in law pumped. I also helped watch my nephew without the ability to breastfeed myself. That is the most pathetic excuse I’ve ever seen. As for lawn mowing? You realize those are seasonal things right? It’s not a daily task you have to do. And most men don’t even do it themselves these days. They …

You then realize how exhausting it must be for working mothers then, right? Even you admit that’s exhausting. You don’t even have to do the pregnancy, giving birth, postpartum breastfeeding part. That’s why women want men to step up because as you stated, it’s hard esp to do it all alone.

Let’s just say that is the case, doesn’t that mean women are being a lot more intentional with their dating than men? If you just go for anyone without making sure you truly are attracted to them then I’d argue that’s more shallow. That’s a recipe for disaster in the long run. I’ve learned early on that it is better to be selective from the start than to give false hope to multiple types of men hoping you’ll fall in love with them later. That way you’re not wasting their time or yours. If I just…

Let me put this into perspective for you. Plenty of gay/bi men find straight men attractive & lust after them, would you say it’s an advantage for straight men? No, why? Because you’re not attracted to them. You can use it to your advantage ig, but in a sense you would have to force yourself to be with someone you’re not attracted to & put yourself in a position where you’re not 100% comfortable. Now let’s say they are stronger, bigger and can easily overpower you & may not respect your boundari…

What kind of lies are you talking about? You compare to a man who lied about not being a virgin so I’m gonna assume you mean sexual past. When you’re adults, there’s no need to pry into each other’s pasts unless it impacts the present for example, you still have an ex around you as a friend. Realistically-speaking at a certain age, people are gonna have experience. It’s dumb to assume when you’re both full fledged adults, both of you are each other’s first love and have zero past whatsoever. Are…

They clearly saw warning signs so they ask in the group to find out and be sure. You men preach not all men all the time and say not to judge, so these women are looking for concrete proof before just accusing. Isn’t that the point of the group? They’re taking precaution.

If they ignored it, they wouldn’t be asking. They would just continue to be blissfully unaware not looking for the truth.

The people who regret no matter the gender are usually immature and miserable. They’re constantly chasing temporary fulfillment and are never satisfied. Most of time they don’t actually miss the person, they miss what they got out of the person or the idea of them. But for mature, content people, no they won’t regret. I don’t regret anyone I’ve ever left or rejected even if they’re happier with someone else now. I know I made that decision for a reason & there’s no guarantee I would’ve been happ…

Um…your second point about the Facebook group “Are we dating the same person” is contradicting. You’re saying all women go after the same bad men knowingly and willingly, but clearly these women didn’t know until they joined the group and are in the group to find out..?

There’s less research on it you mean. Autistic women are late diagnosed because of it which means they were a lot more pressured to fit in earlier in life. Everything you’ve ever experienced autistic women experience, too, but were less forgiven for it.

What kind of insecurities are you talking about? Like physical appearance or like in a relationship (regarding opposite sex friends for example)? Without a specific example I’m not exactly certain what you mean, but if I were to take a guess why male insecurities may be received poorly it’s because you make it other people’s problem and try to control other people’s behavior with it when that is something you have to work on yourself. Having insecurities is normal as people all have them, but ho…

Are you saying all married/partnered up men of all different races look exactly the same and are the exact same type of man? No, right? Also, what’s your definition of high value? Money? Plenty of blue collar men are dating/married. Looks? The average married man isn’t the hottest male model on the block. Personality? Some of the best and worst men are dating/married. Everyone (man or woman) complains about getting ghosted ever since dating apps were created. The reason why a man might not be li…

Well yea bc it’s not input/output. You can’t force a relationship with people. It’s complex because humans are complex. So much goes into it: first impressions, timing, compatability, chemistry, personality, backgrounds, attachment styles, trauma, what period of life you’re in (transitional periods, tragedy or different life stages).

It is nowhere near the same because A) Money can be made again, but you only have one body. Women will always be at more risk with just the fact that she can get pregnant. Not to mention when being used and lied to about having sex with others, she may contract STD’s. B) Men are not judged for spending money on a woman the same way men judge women for body count and tell women their biological clock is ticking. If a woman gets used for sex, her body count goes up, then you have men judging her f…

So basically women are in a lose-lose situation. Men don’t want a woman who is better than them, but they also don’t want to better themselves. But they also want the high quality, attractive women lol. Make it make sense.

I feel like the stressor bounces back quickly, but can’t maintain it for long, whereas the victim takes longer, but at the end it’s worth it because they look better than ever before. So I guess only time will tell and what you make of it. But usually the stressor doesn’t take accountability so a lot of their toxic patterns get repeated & they can’t forever run away from themselves.

If I didn’t believe there were men who date bi women because they like them, I wouldn’t have said “some men.” I even added that disclaimer in my sentence, yet you’re already trying to argue as if I said ALL. Just as dating BIPOC doesn’t automatically = not being racist. Plenty of racist people have partners who are BIPOC, this can apply anywhere for any marginalization.

Fetishization is still a form of biphobia/homophobia. If it’s due to that, then it’s problematic. Let’s for real here, generally speaking, the average man isn’t the most progressive when it comes to LGBTQ+. If they were, you wouldn’t see so many men against the trans community. You wouldn’t see so many men being conservative. So, you have to question why is it that they seem “ok” with it. It’s similar to racism/fetishization. It’s important to be critical always when figuring out why you have ce…

I don’t think it’s necessarily always acceptance. I actually think for some of them, either they don’t see women as worthy of competition and/or they’re imagining having two women side by side, fetishizing it.

It was originally created to tie women down in relationships/marriages so they can’t leave. By shaming women for body count, you’re essentially threatening women with being alone and having no other man wanting her because now she’s “used goods.” What’s a common threat abusive men make? Nobody will love you like I do. Nobody will want you. This worked historically because back then, women were forced into marriages and often relied on their husbands to survive as society provided no other avenue…

If it’s that important to you, just do it. Why are you trying to control how the other person reacts to it on top of that? You’re just scared that there’s a chance you were wrong and don’t want to face the consequences for it. You just want to be able to do something that will cost the relationship without bearing the cost. Once again, if it’s so important to you, you’d do it regardless of people’s responses and opinions of it.

I agree with you to some extent but that’s not always true. I think the better way to phrase it is good person does not always equal preferred/right partner for you. Good person sets a baseline, good relationship requires a lot more work on the specifics. And that is very subjective based on the relationship as everyone’s needs and wants are different. Does that make sense? Inexperience can make a good guy not a good partner. Incompatibility can make a good guy not a good partner. Life circumsta…

Yes, so then obviously go to where you’re wanted. Don’t try to force women who aren’t into you to change their preferences and judge them because they go after what they want. You have the right to have preferences, women also have the right to have preferences.

I think the disconnect men have here is when women say they don’t care about looks or height, you take it literally and only see things one dimensionally. You think “don’t care about looks” = “must only date ugly and short men.” So when they don’t, in your eyes, they’re lying. “Don’t care about looks” actually means looks are not AS important as other things. If you have a great personality, she might give you a chance, but once again, that doesn’t guarantee anything because like I said before, …

Maybe I am but my personality sucks. Maybe we’re just not compatible for whatever reason. What men don’t understand is these men are like scammers. Every time, you learn about a new scamming tactic, they’re already on to the next one to make it seem more real. It’s scary how more realistic they’re making the scam calls. In the same light, every time women learn about a new red flag, mind you, men are also watching & finding new loopholes and ways to debunk or invalidate it. Well since they’re friends both your bf and you know and he’s okay with it then that’s fine. I say “interpret as a date” bc even if you yourself don’t see anything wrong with it, you never know if the other person can misinterpret the situation which can just make things tiring. I personally also think it’s important to be able to distinguish what makes something a date/ partner vs not. For me, it really depends on the context. Is this a new friend or a friend you’ve always known? Are you meeting them 1 on 1 that can be interpreted as a date (i.e. like a movie, late night talk, candlelit dinner)? Is alcohol involved? I think catching up with lunch or coffee is fine. Anything else, can easily become a slippery slope. Things are implemented after you start a relationship because obviously now your actions and decisions can affect your partner. A STI test does not only affect you. It affects your partner and anyone who you plan to hook up with/ date/marry down the line. It is life-altering, are you kidding? You’re faced with stigma and a life-altering illness if you don’t treat it fast enough or depending on the strain. If they knew they had an STI but didn’t tell you, you realize there’s legal issues with that, right? The fact you minimize a STI in order to try to prove your point says everything I need to know.

Hmm you’re trying to put words in my mouth that I never said. I provided a study on why people may feel creeped out. And at the end, I even explicitly that it doesn’t automatically mean that they’re dangerous or have ill intent. I stated that usually it’s due to a multitude of factors not just one, which is true according to the study. Creepiness is actually ambiguity of threat, not just doesn’t like you for whatever reason. For BOTH men and women, men are considered more physically threatening so both genders are more likely to view men as creepy. There’s also sexual threat for women because statistically we are more likely to be affected by that. Attractiveness is a variable, but usually we consider multiple factors before deciding that a man is creepy. This doesn’t necessarily mean people who we consider creepy are automati…

Key word is “seem.” You don’t know exactly what goes on behind closed doors. Of course a dictator will try to keep up good appearances to maintain his authority and when you can be killed at any moment, you’re going to have to act. The fact that I even have to explain this is sort of insane….

Am I infantilizing women or are you being unrealistic and unreasonable? Maybe you can say that you would say no, but when actually faced with a dictator who could kill you and your family easily? Please be real here. Dictators kill people for no reason all the time. I don’t disagree that women can be evil and use indirect methods, but how many of the wives do you think have a choice based on the examples you gave? A lot of the men you mentioned are those in power who can easily abuse it. How are you expecting women to say no to a bloody dictator? A greedy CEO can easily fire/blacklist a woman from the industry if she says no. Not to mention, usually a lot of these marriages are strategic or arranged by their families. One thing you’re not considering is how many predators there are. Can single moms get more dates? Maybe. But even then, they have to vet a lot more. I wouldn’t use the words “superior,” I would say they’re seeking more stability. When women become pregnant and when raising kids, it’s ideal to have a partner who can be a strong father figure and who’s financially stable. It’s a false equivalence because one is very made clear that it’s service, the other isn’t made aware that they’re married. If you compared it to men falling for a woman who is married and lied about it or a situation where they are not made aware about it that makes more logical sense. You’re trying to blame a woman for not knowing someone’s married vs. falling in love with someone who’s doing their job and the customer is made aware of what they’re paying for

I mean there are a lot more men who do mean it that way it’s hard to distinguish and also the risk that comes from going into a man’s home is much greater than saying no and not doing a cooking date. In general inviting someone to your house and not a public place for a first date can be scary for women bc it’s an enclosed space and anything can happen. It’s not always about cost, it’s about thought. You shouldn’t have to spend $200 all the time on a first date, that’s fair. But I think you’re mistaking low cost for low effort. You can have a low cost date with high effort. Painting in the park, showing her your secret hide out spot, eating Wendy’s on a rooftop where you can see the view, going by the pier, even opening the door and making sure she got home safe shows effort. I say men break up and move on, while women move on and break up. That’s why men always come back because they didn’t process properly and realize what they did until only after the fact. Meanwhile, women mentally prepare themselves and do their utter best until they really can’t then let go. Women are definitely shamed when they move on quickly and it makes zero sense.

It doesn’t really sit well with me when guys call women “high maintenance.” Granted there may be women who are, but I’ve also seen situations where women are just asking for the bare minimum and the men just don’t want to put in the effort. Is she really high maintenance or have high expectations or do you just not value her anymore so you shift blame unto her? Women don’t have expectations unless they know their men can do better or have seen them do better. What do you all think?
