Which is why my advice is getting a recording Great idea, thank you! It would also allow me to analyze better my reference experiences for faster improvement. Unfortunately, this only protects me legally. It wouldn't protect me from getting banned from places at the private discretion of management (college campuses, malls, etc). Another poster here got kangaroo courted and expelled from college over a false accusation, even though the police concluded based on evidence provided by his lawyer th…

By that's exactly what happened, I mean I said "OK no problem" with a smile. Something to that effect. The her "feeling at ease" part is not what happened. She reported me anyway for asking her out in the first place.

I was barred from working there by my employer. I wasn't banned from setting foot on campus. I was temporarily suspended from the mall; different story. Sorry for being unclear.

I think he means that working on yourself can increase your confidence because you feel better about yourself. Not that any of this has any relevance to my question. I wasn't asking how to attract girls, I was talking about how to avoid talking to the 1 lunatic out of a 100 decent and willing girls who is going to try to ruin my life for even showing interest in her. All it takes is one. (In my college story it was 1 out of 13. Asking 13 girls out is all it took to get 1 to get me banned from wo…

Interesting. So you were still kicked out of college over it. Why don't schools get sued for this shit? You even had a lawyer (which must have been costly), and all they were able to do was prevent you from being legally prosecuted and curb -some- of the damage, not reverse it or get compensated for it. Which initial comment of mine do you disagree with? (It sounds like you're proving my point.) Who were you talking about when you said he sounds like a future serial killer?

I assume this wasnt in the the past 4 years with the "social justice warriors" (postmodern neomarxist activists) taking over campuses.

In this situation, all I did was ask a girl out, politely, and politely accepting it when it was refused. And it was considered "sexual harassment". (It was in the context of work, so I can see it being seen as inappropriate, but this went beyond that.) Looking at the comments here, the danger mainly seems to be associated with the college campus setting.

That is exactly what happened. EDIT: I mean "Ok no problem" with a smile part is what happened. Not the her feeling at ease part. She reported me.

avoid college campuses That's depressing lol. Where else can I find such a high concentration of cute girls in a relaxed environment?

I certainly am not making excuses not to try anymore. I want to go to a campus again (off work) to do some experiments, but im scared of slipping in my calibration, it coming off as weird, getting approached by security and banned from the premises. I want to not be afraid anymore.

True, but you have to make a lot of mistakes before you get the skill, right?
/r/seduction20/12/17 04:28 PM

This was highly substantive and insightful, just wanted to say that. Thanks. (In the case of the work episode that was harassment, I was not pushy, and it was someone i was going up to to pitch what we're selling, after i got her to sign up. She seemed to enjoy me talking to her during the sale, so i asked her out.)

Last year I got a 24h ban from a mall because I was doing one of Good Looking Loser's approach anxiety drills, simply because someone thought i was acting "weird" and "harassing people". It wasnt even a sustained interaction. You eject doing those even if the reaction is positive.

The purpose of cold approach is to practice. These are usually done in highly populated areas where no one judging you will see you again.

Can you give me an example of "shallow and ignorant" things they say? Maybe you're taking it the wrong way... I'd need to hear an example to give you advice on how to process it differently. (I work in direct sales, talking random individuals from the general public into stuff. Communicating with different types of people who may not think the same way as I do is a part of my work.)

To fix the attitude issues: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_distortion Write down a list of upsetting or defeatist thoughts, go through the cognitive distortion list on wiki page to match them to what you wrote, and use the result insight to rewrite each statement on your list to a more objectively true statement that is constructive. I don't like how people usually respond to the kinds of things OP is saying. It involves a lot of blame and shaming to try to snap him out of it, which in m…

Wouldn't you agree that confidence is contextual though? You can have accomplishments, reference experiences to trust yourself with handling one thing, but if you only have failures in another specific endeavor, you're not going to be very confident with that. What are people talking about when they say they need more "confidence" in a general sense? Is that even an actual thing?

Hate to start talking about semantics, but the definition of the word manipulation is that you're influencing someone in a predetermined direction by consciously putting effort into elements of the communication that is covert to them, and if it were overt, would cause resistance. This does not imply causing anyone harm, in most cases, quite the opposite in fact.

Yeah, the cruelty directed at people with poor social skills makes improving that much more difficult. "It comes naturally to me because I've been doing it my whole life. It's not that I had a lot of practice, it's that it must be the easiest thing in the world, derp! You're pathetic."

I think the goal of this community is to convey quality in more of a versatile manner than would appeal to the haphazard occasional person among the already limited subset who share your interests.

your ability to create fun, your personality and how you make her feel. What would be some good tips on developing these things? And why is more of 'game' not focused on these directly? Also, what about your personality, and what are some good ways to make her feel?

I have lists based on "Threat Level", from Green to Red. I just refer to the list by the colour, omit "threat level". :)
