I think your question is stuck in an adversarial view of divorce. Treating divorce as a battle with aggressors and victims rather than two people deciding to move in different directions with their life creates conflict where there need not be. The most fair system you're going to get is one where marriage, divorce and child support are not lucrative for anyone (especially the lawyers). Saying lifting must be done in a fancy corporate gym is like saying yoga must be done in a fancy corporate yoga studio. The most fun lifting I've had is with my friend who put a power rack in his bedroom at home. And there's plenty of gyms left out there oriented towards men. Look for the hole in the wall, basement places that focus on free weights rather than cardio machines.
