Wait. I think we’re saying the same thing in different ways lmao. I pretty much agree with you on how it should be. 50/50 overall should be the default (so inherent equality) and then it should be changed from there based on individual circumstances (for equity), like the one taking care of kids should probably get the house so they have a good home growing up. I don’t know enough to have an opinion on exactly how the default 50/50 should be split, but that’s my overall opinion. Child support de…

I think you meant when they weren’t working in the 70s. If you did then you’re absolutely right, the laws need to be updated. Tbh I don’t know enough to have a well informed opinion on it but if they don’t already, I think child support should be enough to pay about half of the cost of raising a kid (maybe a tad more to adjust for the wage gap?). Not sure where you’re getting that college number tho. Based on what I found, women only beat men by a few percent. You’re absolutely right about equit…

I’m not saying you should get married if you don’t want to. That’s your choice to make, so do what makes you happy. My point is that the issues with the system are the result of a ton of different factors working together, not manipulation. (Not saying women can do no wrong, just that most aren’t being purposely manipulative.) Some of those factors are sexist towards men, some are sexist towards women. But all of those issues exist as a result of rules designed to keep things fair, not to manipu…

I don’t understand why you think it’s inherently bad for a woman to have some of the power in the relationship. You act like only men are capable of handling responsibility like that (not sure of responsibility is the right word but you know what I mean). Power is meant to be shared, that’s how you get a healthy relationship. No one “auditions” to be a spouse, that term is used in situations where all they’ll get is to be stuck in a position where they’re only allowed to do what they’re told to …

I wasn’t trying to imply that everyone on this sub thinks women are 100% bad. I was referring to the high number of posts making really negative generalizations about them based on their individual experiences. Courts do tend to favor women, I’m not going to deny that. There are a lot of factors that contribute to it, and some of them really are unfair. But that issue only affects a small portion of women (bc of age, divorce rates, etc). The guys on this sub usually make generalizations about wo…

Plus men are much less likely to be given custody of children, as I’m sure you’re well aware, so they practically already can.

Men have always been able to just “walk away” from fatherhood by refusing to help raise the child, or leaving the mother to raise them on her own. But I don’t understand how you would do that from a legal standpoint, honestly.

??? No one should be forced to be a parent. That’s why abortion is legal. I am a woman btw. I don’t wear makeup though lol. Too much work

Men always have a choice whether to be a father. It’s called condoms. Of course they help women as well, but abortion also gives women more autonomy by making it so she doesn’t have to rely solely on someone else’s choice to wear a condom. (and it helps rape victims, who don’t have a choice whether to get pregnant in the first place)
/r/MGTOW216/05/21 07:19 AM

Wait. You’re saying she has a legal choice whether to have a child, which is correct. But based on what you said about women wanting Reproductive Rights, you seem to be against giving women the legal choice to have an abortion (which is the main thing they’re marching for). So which is it?

If you genuinely wanted it and it just didn’t do it for you physically, then it’s probably just inexperience or a lack of communication. If you didn’t want a BJ and she gave one anyway, she assaulted you. No one needs a “reason” to say no to sex. If someone doesn’t want to go through with it then they shouldn’t have to.

I’m not gonna give out my bf’s intimate personal info like that, just like I don’t want him talking to strangers about mine. This isn’t about anatomy, it’s about consideration for another persons preferences and needs. Physically the guy can be perfect, but if it’s unwanted, that’s not gonna make a difference.

A confirmation bias involves blatantly ignoring facts to create your own version of reality. You’re not “seeing through women’s bullshit,” you’re ignoring the evidence behind their statements. To catch misinformation you have to ignore your biases, not lean into them. That’s how science/logic works

You haven’t seen r/WhereAllTheGoodMenAre, my friend. I made a lighthearted post saying we’re not aliens, and I was immediately downvoted and insulted to hell and back. It lasted 3 hours before a mod locked my post, left it up for a few days so I could keep being downvoted for a little while, left a paragraph insulting me, and muted + permabanned me so I couldn’t defend myself. Purely because I’m a woman who made a sentence-long post (and I know that’s the only reason bc I never even replied to a…

Exactly. I think MGTOW being up but quarantined (or whatever it’s called) is exactly what it needs to be: it’s not completely banned, but it can’t actively promote itself so as few people get stuck in that echo chamber as possible. I think the female counterparts should be the same way if has the same level of sexism as MGTOW.

The problem with subs like MGTOW isn’t that they don’t want to date, it’s that they constantly say women are inferior or evil. This sub is half posts about being independent, half sexism. It’s honestly the most hilariously inconsistent sub I’ve ever seen (straight from “women are evil” to “what’s your opinion on sardines?”), but that’s beside the point. If you don’t want to be in a relationship bc it’s what makes you happy, all power to you. But that doesn’t give you an excuse to blame it on hal…

So you think men should only have to take care of themselves, but women should be able to take care of an entire group of people? Seems a bit unfair, don’t you think?
/r/MGTOW215/05/21 08:29 AM

Personally I think they should both be banned. All they do is create dangerous echo chambers by making it easy to shut out anyone they think doesn’t deserve an opinion. Worst I’ve seen is r/WhereAllTheGoodMenAre. I was muted and permabanned purely for being a woman trying to voice her opinion. That place is absolutely pathetic. This sub is fine tho, IMO. You guys are pretty open to discussions and criticism, so it stays relatively tame.

Did you just openly admit to having a confirmation bias? Bc that’s not a good thing.

I think you’re misunderstanding the way they use the term “bad sex.” They’re talking about situations where a woman gives consent, but only bc she’s pressured to or bc she’s afraid to say no. I’ve experienced it before and I absolutely agree that it should be considered assault. That shit was extremely manipulative and genuinely scarring. It also refers to when she doesn’t have a say in what she does with/for her partner bc he isn’t putting enough thought into whether she genuinely enjoys the ex…

Good to see exactly one other woman on this sub. I agree with the general sentiment and I also hate the whole “men vs women” thing, but I don’t think hobbies or interests have anything to do with it. Imo that’s more of a correlation vs. causation thing, combined with a confirmation bias lol I think the biggest things to look for in a girl are empathy and willingness to communicate their feelings. Same with guys, actually

Lmao the majority of women are absolutely not misandrists. Just like the majority of men aren’t misogynists. You’re talking about 5 BILLION women here, the literal majority of people. I’d love to see where you’re getting it from actually, since I can’t find any studies measuring how common it is. Also do you really think I ENJOY being insulted based purely on my gender? The only “good” thing women can get as a result of it is when men have to face the consequences of those actions, and that’s on…

You’re implying that the only reason women are attracted to other women is because they choose to, purely out of spite. You asked for an example of a woman who loves other women but doesn’t hate men, and I gave you one. Not every lesbian/bi woman is a misandrist, and not every misandrist is gay/bi. Misandrists are just a small group of assholes who use their bad personal experiences as an excuse to make sexist generalizations directed at half the population, just like a lot of the guys on this s…

I definitely feel like an outsider, but it’s not that bad. It only really hurts when it’s a direct insult. I think a lot of this kind of sexism is just guys overgeneralizing their experiences to make blanket statements bc they’re salty. Not that that’s an excuse ofc

Misandry is a completely different issue, that’s just women being sexist assholes. I’m sure a lot of them are in the LGBTQ community, but there’s not a causal relationship there

Based on what I’ve heard it’s kinda like white knighting. Giving a woman a ton of attention and donations or whatever in an attempt to get her attention. Idk though, I’m a woman myself so I kind of have an outsiders perspective

Alright. Then here’s another reason that isn’t true. BEING GAY ISNT PURELY BY CHOICE. It’s affected by multiple environmental and genetic factors that work together, and is part of you from birth. Exactly the same as it is with gay men.

Hell yeah. Personally I’ve found that the best way to get a good boyfriend is to get a good friend first, and I’m sure the same goes for women. If you really want to annoy some sexist assholes, r/WhereAllTheGoodMenAre is full of em. A while ago I tried to make a lighthearted joke there by saying we’re not aliens and my post lasted all of 3 hours, I’d love to see what they do when that same sentiment is coming from a guy. Hell yeah. It’s really sad to see how much hate we get. Wanting to stay single bc it makes you happy is all well and good, just don’t use it as an excuse to be sexist. Luckily, you guys are much better than subs like r/WhereAllTheGoodMenAre (Incoming rant lol). That place is a literal cesspool dedicated solely to writing essays on why women are evil and don’t deserve love. I recently tried to post a lighthearted joke there saying we’re not aliens and IMMEDIATELY got a ton of shit for it. The pos…

Overall, women have a basic instinct to care for their children (this coming from a woman). Most women are perfectly good mothers, same with fathers Most abuse from parents comes as a result of how they were raised themselves. Abuse leads to hate, and hate leads to abuse. If a parent was raised badly, they will likely do the same to their own child. So it’s not really a gendered issue, it’s just a continuation of that cycle.

Dating requires equal effort on both sides. You can’t expect women to just immediately fall for you, you have to show you’re willing to put in as much as you’re expecting to get out of it. A guy who clearly doesn’t care just isn’t worth going for, plain and simple.
/r/MGTOW210/05/21 10:14 AM

No, I saw it. To me, the wording implies you’re talking about the vast majority instead of a relatively small percentage (I don’t know the exact ratio of single/taken/looking, but I think about a third would be a decent estimate.)
/r/MGTOW210/05/21 10:05 AM

Exactly. Women as a whole aren’t evil or secretive or less trustworthy. We’re just people, and people are complicated. Yeah there are some women who are giant assholes, but there’s just as many guys who are just as bad.

I get why it would seem that way, but we definitely don’t do it purely for that. Not every girl is looking for a date, a lot of girls are either taken or prefer to stay single. A lot of us go out alone or with friends just to socialize and have a good time. Same reasons guys go out :)

I’d say you’re not, since they’re in that stuff purely to be seen as sexual. It’s her job. It would be different if you were sexualizing some random girl online, especially if you’re trying to get her attention in the process. Then it’s sexual harassment. Then again I don’t really have a solid understanding of the definition of simping lol

Rn I’m reading House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. By far the most innovative horror I’ve ever heard of, and I 100% recommend buying a hard copy for the full effect bc it’s WILD. It’s really hard to describe bc there’s so many layers to it. Basically it’s a book about a book about a documentary about a house thats bigger on the inside. It’s more existential and surreal horror than a thriller, and it’s really well done. It’s a super long read (my bf took a year to read it but he’s not usually…

I’m not the type to want to date someone I barely know, so I’m not worried about it. I believe you should take your time to find the right person, and they should first and foremost be your friend. Settling for someone early on just seems like a hasty decision for something that big, and I don’t want to end up in a loveless marriage as a result. But whatever, based on our ages, neither of us is experienced enough to be giving solid relationship advice at this point lol

By “sure you are” I thought you were referring to me saying I’m a human so I made a joke about it. Sorry for the confusion. Still not sure exactly what you meant though. I just don’t have enough context to work from. Do you mean emotional commitment in a relationship?

In bios on social media (mainly Twitter), people often have what pronouns they’d prefer people use with them (like he/him, she/her, or they/them). It’s to indirectly help people who use different pronouns (like transgender people) by helping to make it normal. People use it as an insult bc it’s generally associated with being left-leaning or something. I don’t get the big deal personally

Yo this literally says it’s a stereotype that they find funny. She doesn’t actually think this. Also women are just people, we don’t have some secret society with a hidden agenda. We’re the literal majority, not aliens or something
