Nothing is private for the police; if they need to search through shit, they will. This is only if they get a warrant. A simple accusation definitely is not enough for a warrant. I know it's not a good answer, but it really depends on the persons and situations and if they're suspicious enough for a warrant.
That's the reason I got together with my girlfriend. Not only did our personalities and opinions match, but she is hot as fuck. To me she's like 9/10, I got super lucky.
