It seems a bit of a stretch, perhaps, that anyone with whom you share a deep, genuine, and long-term connection must be secretly vying for pickup artists to sarge their night game on her at the club. Though there is legitimacy to many of the techniques used by the PUA community in finding sexual partners, lifelong relationships are built more on their history of mutual affection and trust, the depth and breadth of which are not inconsiderable.

There's an age when concepts like "working your game" start to sound childish. Once people mature the idea of constantly competing against male interlopers for your female is just quaint and you and your partner can relax and enjoy each other. Many people happen to find this more satisfying than a lifetime of applying seduction techniques. That's long been a weakness of PUA literature. It's all about starting relationships and moving on once it gets boring.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
