If it was clearly something she would be expected to and she doesn't respond, then ignore her. Don't text her again. If she texts you back eventually, great. If not, she probably isn't attracted to you and you're better off moving on to the next one anyways. If you want to try and convince yourself that the text didn't go through or something, then the best you can do is something teasing her for not responding. Tell her you're supposed to be the one who's always busy or that if she doesn't text…

I don't know if this is right or not but it rings true to me. I have the same 'issue' and I spend the majority of time in groups of 3-5 friends.

Maybe you can, maybe it won't work. But you have a way better chance of making it work if you give it a try. You don't need to change who you are, just start behaving in ways that are more commanding and confident.Talk to every girl you want to. For me it is because the thought of failure/rejection is so overwhelming. If I don't do anything, I can at least tell myself I haven't fucked it up yet. Stupid, I know.
