When I was about 19, I started working in a day care while studying for a degree in education. I was studying TESOL/ESL, but wanted to focus on elementary students. The day care covered K to 4, and I rotated through all the rooms. The parents of the boys were usually very happy that I was there, so their sons could talk sports and cars, etc, with one of their teachers (the rest of the staff was 45+ year old women).
