Same here! I’ve had sex with so many people I didn’t actually want to, it sucks. Like you said, guilt played a huge part in it. One time of the first times I was making out with my current boyfriend I let him know that was all we were doing and he was like “yeah, of course?” and I was so surprised he was actually ok with it. Societal conditioning, baby!

It’s to the point where I basically lie by omission and never say that I’ve been with a woman/find a woman attractive

God I really hope that’s not the case and that she’s alright. Why do they need to sexualize everything and make it all about them?

I feel so bad for his wife. It also really bothers me that he said they got naked for a guy. Of course women are pressured into situations like this but there’s no evidence that her and her friend did this for his sexual entertainment? And of course, men’s fantasies about women together. Every time I’ve told a man I’m bisexual the inevitable response includes him saying that it’s hot or probing to see my interest in a threesome. My interest in women is not for male consumption and nothing dries …

The idea that shitty men are opportunistic the way that burglars are is such a wonderful analogy. Like scavengers in the animal world.

Exactly! He never would’ve apologized if he hadn’t learned that the woman he insulted was famous and hadn’t been called out about it

So I’m glad you’ve stood up for yourself in these situations but I don’t think you should wait for a third time, I think you should exit this friendship now. I’m really sorry a friend violated you like this. This man has assaulted you, is incredibly sexist, and has no respect for you. You deserve better.

“field tomorrow?” the accuracy is painful

And he had already been into her for MONTHS 🙄🤢

This is SO beautiful and inspiring. I’m so happy you’ve found what you want and have the determination to get it. I’m also interested in an outdoorsy job, preferably something scientific with fieldwork, but I won’t get there for quite some time. I was feeling down about it, but you’ve made me feel better and reinvigorated me. Good luck at school, I know you’ll do great 😊

Ah ok, I was just wondering what was considered normal. Thanks!

I’m a little confused by this, do step parents not usually pay for their stepchildren? Would they not now be their children as well? If she married a man and had children with him, is it expected that he only pay for the ones he’s biologically related to even if they’re all in the same household?

I was trying to figure out if I wasn’t getting its depth or if it really was just that dumb

Same here, it’s just how I’ve heard the phrase explained :)

Yes! That’s a better way to explain it than I was able to get out

I’ve heard this in reference to sexuality. Like conservative men want you to be a virgin and dress modestly and act like a nun expect for them (private property), and liberal men want you to wear revealing clothes and sleep around and be “sex positive” (public property). At least that’s my understanding!

I once dated someone who pronounced the L in salmon and I lost a year off my life every time he said it

Holy shit was this detailed. Thank you for the work you put into this!! I did have to laugh though at the possibility of him getting carpal tunnel because of texting a mistress. That would be quite the way to be found out to be cheater.

These girls are brave and I’m glad they know how to stand up for themselves but seeing that one girl cry at the end broke me a little. I hope she’s ok.

They’re not illegal, though in some states the access to one is so restricted that they may as well be. Though this dude is definitely a piece of sh*t, you’re right.

She should be told exactly this, this is a great way of putting it

It looks like everyone who replied to the original post told him the same (though I do wonder if half of them are FDSers).

100%. He gave you a compliment with a “but...” attached. There was literally no reason to say that other than to hurt your feelings/ bring you down a peg. Would you have said to him “You’re cute, you have a really big nose though.” ?

This man literally said the word “breed”?? I know that there are so many issues in your post but this one just sticks out to me as so incredibly weird. There is no creepier way to refer to pregnancy and having children than “breeding.”

Is Mia Khalifa not the pornstar who recently quit and openly discussed the trauma she experienced in the industry... I have no doubt he knows this about her which makes it twice as awful that he said that.

I feel this one in my soul. I haven’t always talked to a guy in-depth before a date and sometimes I want an escape route. Should we be talking to guys more before the date to try and avoid this?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
