thoughts? found it on fb🤣didn’t even post it as a feminist/anti feminist thing just thought this sub would have some thoughts 🤣 | /r/AntiFeminists | 25/10/22 08:34 PM
just curiousso the suffragettes were man hating? no. they just wanted to vote. | /r/AntiFeminists | 06/10/22 09:14 AM
just curiousthe literal definition of feminist is what i have described. | /r/AntiFeminists | 06/10/22 09:13 AM
just curiousi’m a feminist and i don’t expect free stuff, i just expect to pay the same as man does, rather than more. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 10:02 PM
just curiousi can assure you i’ve never even visited, yet alone posted, on this sub before. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 10:02 PM
just curiousi think rape is an extremely difficult subject to navigate as the damage that can be done by not believing somebody is equal to the damage that can be done by believing a false accusation. It sounds like things need to change in Spain. I believe women should be prosecuted for false rape accusations 100%. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 10:00 PM
just curiousi totally agree that it shouldnt be made a competition. we should acknowledge the disadvantages on both sides, and do what we can to make things better for both sexes. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:59 PM
just curiousi may have misinterpreted you then, but your point about fewer women in chairman positions etc sounded to me like you were saying women shouldnt be in those positions due to their menstrual cycle? | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:55 PM
just curiousthat’s ridiculous, banning a tv show because you hate men?? do you mind me asking which country this is? | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:54 PM

just curioushave you not seen my other comments, where i talk about male suicide and custody battles? i’ve seen a lot of awareness for prostate cancer too, so not sure what your point is there. i try and promote the idea that women and men can go into any job they want, they should have a choice, so in turn i do believe that women should be able to be brick layers if they choose to and shouldn’t face discrimination or judgment because of it, the same way i believe men should be able to go into beauty therap… | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:52 PM
just curiousgroping, shouting explicit comments, taking unsolicited pictures, any form of inappropriate touching, rape - all examples of assault/harassment that women have suffered due to their clothing choices. nobody is asking men to protect women, we’re just asking men not to assault us. i don’t think that’s asking too much, do you? | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:50 PM
just curiousfor every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. i get that. i just can’t see why people would oppose equality. i agree that feminism needs to start self regulating, but that’s easier said than done. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:47 PM
just curioushow can you say education is important is for women, but in the same breath say women shouldn’t go into employment due to their menstrual cycle? if a woman can work through education with her period, she can work through employment. a major component of education is preparing an individual for the work place. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:44 PM
just curiousi understand why you say we should say egalitarian instead. i just think its a shame that we let the actions of a few impact a movement so much that we have to use a completely name for it, its fucked up. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:42 PM
just curiousyeah i don’t agree with or endorse that at all | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:40 PM
just curiousthe true figures of women who cry rape falsely are actually pretty low compared to the number of women who have actually been raped. to make matters worse, a lot of rapists get away with it because its so hard to prove a rape. a lot of the time there are no witnesses, so its the womans word against the mans. women are told to go straight to a hospital after being raped to get a rape kit for evidence. put yourself in a rape victims shoes. you have just been violated in a horrific manner, would yo… | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:40 PM
just curiousthere’s a different between judgement, like someone saying they don’t like your clothes, and people saying it’s your fault you got assaulted because you were dressed a certain way. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:34 PM
just curiousthis view makes me think of the black lives matter movement. the black lives matter organisation used donations for personal gain, not to support black lives matter or black people/communities. unfortunately, people use this to discredit the movement. they can’t separate the company from the ideology, when they are in fact separate things. i believe in black lives matter, but i do not support the organisation. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:33 PM
just curiousi say the few because i have never in my life met a feminist who acts as you describe, i have only met feminists like myself. this seems to once again be a case of fear mongering by the media. they only pick out the bad, most extreme actions of a group to paint them as a bad picture in the name of creating a good story. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:31 PM
just curiousfrom the definition, egalitarianism is wanting equality, yes? feminists want equality between the sexes? tell me where i’m going wrong here | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:29 PM
just curiousI am sorry you have had those responses, that is not right and it’s not the ideology I stand for. I don’t see an issue with child minding, and I don’t think women should be put down for it. Many times women leave their children with family anyway, such as their parents or siblings etc. If not with family, they will leave them with a trusted friend. It’s not very often that a woman will leave a really young child with a stranger, even if it’s a friend if a friend they are paying to babysit. When … | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:28 PM
just curiousi believe many movements and ideologies have been warped into something their not by this attitude. for example, during the black lives matter protests, the few actions of some protesters defined the whole movement. their illegal and riotous behaviour were used to black mark the whole movement, when really blm isnt about hating white people, its just about equality. i hate that blm the organisation has been used to tar the movement too. yes, they did a fucked up thing and used the donations for … | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:19 PM
just curiouswhat’s your issue? i’ve been nothing but polite to you | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:16 PM
just curious1) men not being taken seriously in regards to mental health. i have been in a few psychiatric hospitals and there has always been a massive difference in the amount of male patients and female patients. of course, this was on the children’s wards (12-18 years old), as adult wards are split by sex. anyway, i do not for one minute believe this difference is because men suffer less than women with mental illness. after all, men are more likely to die by suicide than women. i believe this is becaus… | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:15 PM
just curiousfor me, feminism is about women having the choice. i fully support you not wanting a career, because thats your CHOICE. in the same way i support women who want a career, because its their CHOICE. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 09:00 PM
just curiousi am an egalitarian then, but i believe feminism can be a type of egalitarianism when applied correctly. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:59 PM
just curiousi call myself a feminist because the true feminist ideology is wanting equality. that is the true definition used by sociologists to generalise feminists, there are different types of feminism but the general definition is that. i think it’s a shame that the actions of a few women have disgraced feminism as a whole to the point where we need a new name. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:58 PM
just curiousi think you make a fair point, i just have never come across a woman who is pursuing a career for the sole purpose of pissing a man off. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:55 PM
just curiouson your last point, i’d like to know what you think about the same thing but in regards to race. for example, when a black person says something like white people are trash or stereotypes white people. i don’t take issue with that because i know in wider society, black people are discriminated against and them saying these things aren’t going to lead to a societal prejudice against white people. as well as this, i know they aren’t attacking me personally, they’re just expressing frustration at a… | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:54 PM
just curiousi believe it’s fair for a woman to prioritise a career over a relationship if that’s what she wants. personally i would do the same. a career ensures a future, financial stability, and can largely be relied on. however, relationships can falter, people cheat, people fall out of love, people argue. relationships are not always stable, and don’t always ensure a happy future. myself, i am happy to maintain a relationship along with pursuing my career. i understand where you’re coming from in regard… | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:42 PM
just curiouswhen i speak about feminism i refer to the ideology of feminism, rather than the practices if that makes sense. i enact my ideology in everyday life if i need to, for example if i see someone shaming a woman for her clothing, or someone berating a man for showing emotions. i’m not wholly aware of the actions of the larger feminist movement, the things i have seen have been the extreme actions of extreme so called feminists. but that’s the media for you - only highlighting the extreme sides of th… | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:39 PM
just curiouspersonally i’ve never seen a man be shamed for being shirtless in public, but i have seen women be shamed for showing cleavage. things like this reflect the general attitude of society, which impacts laws and the general lives of women, so while they may seem insignificant they are important. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:35 PM
just curiouslet me just check i’m interpreting your comment correctly. you feel feminism has robbed you of a future because women don’t want to stay home and not work, and that’s the kind of family structure you want? lots of people have happy families where both parents work, and that can actually improve the family in respect to finances as obviously there’s more money coming in to provide for the family which can pay for all manner of things. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:33 PM
just curiousno, we don’t hide. we’re just not highlighted in the media in the same way radical feminists are. most of the people i’ve come across or got friendly with are actually feminists. sometimes people have told me they aren’t, then i’ve defined feminism as i did above, and they’ve said actually they are feminists. feminism has been twisted and warped by the actions of radical feminists, who aren’t real feminists. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:30 PM
just curiousthe same can be said for a lot of things. not all men are rapists or sexual harassers, but there’s enough out there to cause damage. it’s wrong to say all men are rapists because of the actions of a few, the same way its wrong to say all feminists are man haters or whatever based on the actions of a few radical feminists. you can’t tar everyone with the same brush. you don’t come across many feminists like me because they’re not highlighted in the media like radical feminists are, so you’re not … | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:28 PM
just curiousfeminism is wanting equality between men and women, as previously stated. therefore, i do not believe men should be shamed for being virgins, whilst women are praised for it. in the same breath, i don’t think women should be shamed for having slept with multiple people, while men are praised for it. there’s two sides to that coin. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:25 PM
| -5 | just curiousi know a lot of feminists who don’t hate men actually. i even know male feminists, who also don’t hate men. so maybe you just havent come across the right people. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:22 PM |
just curiousi believe extreme feminism has stopped being about equality, we called it radical feminism when i studied sociology. for me feminism is wholly about equality though, that’s literally the definition of feminism. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:21 PM
just curiousi have no issue with sex. just an issue with it being used to control women and what they do with their body. men can walk around topless no issue, but a woman shows cleavage and she’s a whore or a slut or anything like that. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:20 PM
| -10 | just curiousi’m a feminist and i don’t hate men soooo?? i believe you’re talking about radical feminism. i classify myself as a liberal feminist, based on my sociology studies. | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:18 PM |
| -2 | just curiousi’m an athiest, for starters. i just had a conversation with my boyfriend about breasts. breasts aren’t inherently sexual, they are just…lumps for feeding babies. society has decided that they are a sexual thing, and therefore any woman showing a bit of cleavage is promiscuous or something to that effect. even things like girls wearing a cropped shirt, or showing their shoulders in school isn’t allowed because its ‘distracting’ for the boys. how is a stomach sexual? why is it distracting? | /r/AntiFeminists | 05/10/22 08:15 PM |
