All feminists are or can be women's rights activists, whether or not they're "real". Maybe we just disagree on semantics, I think. That's probably because masculinism and the promotion of men's rights hasn't gotten off the ground yet. Also because the differences between men and women were markedly more oppressive for women for most of history and indeed in much of the world today. Of course, in the United States and most of the developed world today, women and men are more equal and men's right…

You can advocate equal rights without using the men's rights label too. Or you can just call the promotion of women's rights feminism and the promotion of men's rights masculinism, and then practice both.
