Women have control of most of the disposable income, so companies cater to them. Women are starting to believe that they are at the same time "empowered" and repressed depending on what's being sold. Meanwhile men keep working, not saying much, they are also fed the "happy wife, happy life" line so they spend a majority of their income on items for their wives. Men without wife's are pressured to get married and "settle down" ie, spend money on something other than "toys" cars, boats, big ticket…

Exactly what I came here to say, the cock wagon is getting hard on me, and my shit's starting to get gamy, time to find a nice dude that will bow down and support me before I'm totally rotten.

All I can say is good she should be on r/darwinaward I would like to thank her for keeping her DNA to herself. Live by the sword die by the sword, at least she took herself out with her fucked up ideology intact.

A long time a friend of mine had to take "catholic classes" because his fiancee was catholic. As an "outsider" and a cynical one at that, his eyes were opened to all the shit they pull; no birth control = more babies = more revenue, Gay = no babies, no revenue, all the male dominated shit = a woman had to stay married, stay pregnant = revenue, back then women didn't make any of their own money = no revenue = fuck um. The devil or anything devilish = people would "stray" from the church = no reve…

I've said it before, I'm amazed it's not higher. This society is set up for men's failure. You have to get a job, pay your bills and then get married and have kids, pay their bills. If you don't get married, your a looser, if you don't pay your bills, you're a deadbeat, women don't want "equal" rights, but they want the rights they think we have (to control our own destiny, make our own decisions). But if you get tired of it and tap out, guess what, you still have to pay for everything. You don'…

Maybe suicide is rampant among middle aged men because we finally realize that there is no benefit to living. If your that old and alone, you more than likely have been tagged and ridiculed as being a looser, worthless or noncontributory. If you're married and nearing retirement age you're starting to realize you have been living to pay the bills, with no reward. You're an ATM, once you're out of money you're useless. Fact is, the only way you live that long and still feel good about yourself is…

Married at 23, thought in HS I would be forever alone, didn't realize at the time that was the better option. I am "happily" married. But I think I would be happier with all of my disposable income to myself instead of no disposable income.

I totally believe that. My son is 18, and seems to have no interest in women at all. He was crushing on this girl a long time ago, I asked him what was up with her; "dad, I got to talk to her, and she is SO stupid." He had one other female friend that unfortunately was hospitalized for depression, so that was over before it started. I think he'll go through life womanless and won't miss it. His mother thinks he'll "find someone," but I figure that'll be really hard because he's not looking and d…

In HS the girls could wear skirts that were "tasteful" but the boys couldn't wear shorts. One day a large number of boys wore skirts, didn't go well for them.

What I'm getting from this is, light a match, burn your house to the ground and move to another country. Oh yeah, change your name too. Are you apposed to plastic surgery?

The trap was sprung when I was in Iraq, the rest has come to light after. We had been through a lot before that, our life has not been a fairy tale. I guess is the first time me and me alone was the one that had the major issue. We've been together almost 25 years, and life isn't as bad as it may sound. It illustrates that the only one you can truly count on is yourself. Go figure that I may have trust issues. Not really convinced something did, something didn't happen while I was gone. Two of m…

I'm really not interested in a divorce now, my mental state is better, I don't live deep in that dark cave anymore. I don't think I should have to research how charitable a judge has been in the past, if they're in a bad mood that day I'm fucked. We've bought a house that I would like my plans for come to fruition. Believe it or not, my current situation is probably keeping me alive. Providing for my kids and giving them a good life seems like my mission now. Leaving in any way jeopardizes that.…

He's intelligent, reflective and thoughtful, that's why women can't get him, the same qualities they want are the same qualities that make men decide not to be tied to ungrateful women. We can't have a meaningful conversation - about the subject they choose and tell them their opinions are spot on.

He verbalized just how I was feeling several years ago. I was in a deep hole. I have PTSD and depression that I brought home from Iraq. When I would try to start a conversation about my feelings = quick subject change. She would never and still never offers to go with me to my psych appointments. Sometimes I feel all alone next to her in bed. I provide for my family the best I know how, we live in a nice house, never go hungry, have what we need. But I was starving, sometimes I felt cold and alo…

I vowed this and I've stuck with it for over 20 years. We lived in a different state and I was sick of traveling all night to see people I really didn't give a shit about. More so when we moved back to the area and had kids. I wasn't about to have the kids open all their presents, let them play for a while, then take them on tour like a rock band. I would envite relatives over and my mom would give her half hearted "you know you're invited, right? Just making sure.

Best explanation I ever heard; You don't pay the woman for the sex, you pay her to leave when you're done.

As a Iraq vet with REAL PTSD this enrages me. I know you're not supposed to compare traumas but reading something distasteful on a computer screen and washing blood off your boots almost every night is somewhat different. I think one of these groups needs to find a different name for their "affliction". Hint; we got to PTSD first.

I stopped looking also, been married 23 years. I've moved on to married MGTOW. It's nice to have someone in your life but you have to call them on the B.S. Women were designed a bit differently back then but the still try that "happy wife, happy life" horse shit. Women are shallow, irresponsible children. But if you find one that can stop the idiocy when you let them know it's not OK, life can be better. My 18 y.o. son is totally MGTOW, Tall, blond, good looking, athletic build. but has no time …

I'd like to think I'm the only one that has had doubts about our marriage, but I know it's not true. I also have trust issues, globally, not just marriage (PTSD, Depression). We've been to counseling at my request when my PSTD and depression were at their worst. I know we were unhappy, I didn't want to loose her, my kids and all my money without trying something. We're open now about our feelings. She was kinda awkward when we were in high school but she has grown into her body. I was going to d…

1) I was in the Reserves, we lived in a small town, I think I would have heard about it. (I heard about the girl before her, when I was active duty.) If she did, oh well, once again, she got away with it, been many years, the statute of limitations is up. If that's what it takes for her to get by... She's been good since, she has no time to cheat. I used to worry, fuck it, don't care anymore.

No strict parents, I loved her mom more than my own, we bought a house with an extra bedroom so she could live with us. Unfortunately she died less than a year after we moved in. Her adoptive father was cool, her biological father was kinda an ass but he started making an appearance after we were married. We have always raised our kids to have a sense of humor, our daughter is more sensitive, we've told her this is our family, she better loosen up. We call our son the little bastard sometimes wh…

I wouldn't say no serious issues, almost all of them on my part. One of those trips was Iraq, so I came home mentally fucked. But things are better now.I told her if I push her away push back. I even apologized last night after I wrote my original post for being off all day and hating life and everything in it. She's different because, well wow she's just different, sometimes we fight like brother and sister, just pick on each other, I've called her fat, ugly and old at one point. I'm sure she's…

I slept in a hammock in the basement for probably a year. My wife and I go our separate ways and do our own things, but we do enjoy each each others company when we're together. I feel ours is a unique relationship, we've been married for over 20 years. We've never been lovey lovey, we've been mature adults. We were really good friends before we got married, we're really good friends now. I've been away from her for days, weeks, and over a year (military). The taking things for granted thing has…

Don't tell him what's happening, tell him what's gonna happen, when it comes true, he can believe you. He can do whatever after, if he does nothing and stays the course, that's on him.

It doesn't end at 20yrs. Been married 23, it's a semi-reasonable "life" I have no friends outside of work, I have no social life outside of my wife. I work long hours hence the lack of social life. I do enjoy my wife's company, we were friends before any thought of marriage. But I've been in some ruff situations in my life (Iraq war, PSTD, severe depression) I can't say that I've been supported at all from her. I don't know if she can't cope or doesn't want to. In one argument, I basically said …

Can't agree more, I've been dealing with PTSD/depression/seizures for a couple of years now. If I am irritable get angry I'm an asshole, if I try to vent to her she immediately changes the subject, if my seizures are bad and I don't do stuff I'm lazy. She has had some heart trouble lately, she's "too young to be on medication/be sick, it just isn't fair, the world is coming to an end" (she's 6 months older than me). We've been married for 20 years, I've been provider and given up a lot to have a…

WOW! when did you read my biography? Was home from Iraq a couple of years started really hitting the wall, a lot of depression, sadness and outbursts for (which I was labeled an asshole for) I started getting help, lots of meds, therapy (no help from her) during this I developed distonia (parkinson like seizures). Still nothing. Did I mention she decided to withhold affection + sex during this time? I decided I had had enough I found a marriage counselor. She started talking about how I didn't d…

Better now than after 20+ years of being married, realizing you've pretty much been played your whole live, and when you want a return on some of that support and attention that you've given her all these years, you get very little to nothing. That is a hard pill to swallow, I no longer have plates to spin. All I can do is take it, and keep giving up 80-90% of my pay so I can still see my kids anytime I want. If I divorce I will still be giving up 80-90% of my pay but my kids will live somewhere…

Sad to say, but I think dude should stop giving girls respect. I don't really have anything going on, BUT I fain self confidence, I'll tell a girl "Those your new shoes? Hate um." They'll tell me "Oh you want some of this don't you?" I'll tell them "sorry, don't stick my dick in crazy." It's like crack to them, pretty soon it will be "oh, you look nice today" They've lost the upper hand. It's an even playing field, and the progress can begin. Experience from 15 years of working almost exclusivel…
