I do not believe that Feminism is the reason for a Men's Rights Movement. That would imply that Men's Rights wouldn't need to exist if an organized Feminist movement didn't exist. I don't think all of our legal and sociological biases can be considered a result of the Feminism movement (e.g., only men fighting and dying in the Civil War was not somehow the result of an anticipated future Feminist movement). Similarly, one can argue that Feminism came into being as a result of actual gender biase…

Can't that argument also be applied to label "Men's Rights" as gender biased by its nature due to the name of the movement?

I was struck by the restriction of services of increased security and a complimentary webcam based on gender. It's also a little upsetting to read there is a floor that I cannot be on because my gender makes women feel unsafe. I guess I'm also simultaneously a little saddened by the circumstances that have lead to such initiatives--it must be terrible for anyone who feels some constantly elevated level of unsafe. So I'm kinda working it out here and wanted to know what "the community" thinks.

That sounds reasonable. Of course I support women (and men) feeling/being safe, but it does have that vibe.
