It's not bad, it's not good. It's just not a step forward. There was no unequal situation here. Both men and women suffer due to heat. Now there is an unequal situation, wich is bad. This isn't a hard concept. Again, I've seen plenty of posts here about the unfaieness of boys not being allowed to wear shorts to school, while girls are allowed skiets. That is also unequal. If you're willing to defend one, you can't complain about the other.

Men are used to women having dress code advantages. Wich is a bad thing If they got another most men wouldn't even notice. It's just expected Wich is also bad But oh no! Women can't still be superior! Wich was never a thing anyone argued for, except in your head. It's a step in the right direction, but since it favors men, we just can't have that, right? If your search for equality, requires unequal treatment, it's not a step in the right direction, no.

Yes, so the rules changed for men, but didn't change for women, who still can't show their legs. If the genders were reversed you'd be clutching those pearls even harder.

Dude, learn what words mean. An expectation from your boss, is not a fucking choice. You're either an idiot, or being purposedly obtuse. This is not a discussion about clothing choices. What have you added to the conversation? I've kept it in topic, instead of going off on pointless unsubstanciated tangents. In dress codes women always have more choices and always are able to show more flesh. You are literally saying this under an article that tells you they are not allowed to show their skin. A…

Ok, so you bring nothing to the conversation, other than pre-conceived ideas. That's cool. I'm analysing the information I have. If you have something else, other than an opinion, please, present it. Otherwise, continuing this, is completely futile.

Please, quote where the article states this is women pressuriong women

I love that you went and got a cloned article, wich says the exact same thing, that, unlike men, women are still made to cover their legs. At no point in that article does it say it's a feelling. It literally says they are pressured to do it, while men are not. If that's what you call equality, you'd be better at home with the feminists.
/r/MensRights24/07/26 02:36 AM
1

Women still have to cover their legs, as is very much stated in the article. Stop bending reality to your imaginary scenarios
/r/MensRights24/07/26 02:14 AM

Expectations are things you're supposed to do, just as the article said. The rules, in a lot of these cases were only relaxed for men.
/r/MensRights24/07/26 01:23 AM

"Expected" isn't necessarily a choice. For example, in your job, you're expected to show up on time. That doesn't mean you can just show up whenever you want, or that there aren't any consequences for it.

Will there be a day when certain people in this community realise feminism is not the enemy? That sounded a lot like manosphere talk, wich is a lot further from the MRM than feminism
/r/MensRights22/07/26 09:30 PM
-1

It restricts the legs from being uncovered, when wearing skirts. Maybe you should take your own advice. Where did you read that anyone was asking for it to be removed from the other group? The cited article just speaks about disliking it. At no point is it saying they're calling for a change of the rules.
/r/MensRights22/07/26 06:27 PM
-4

Great point, we have it shitty, therefore, everyone should have it shitty. Idk man, you're making an issue of some people not enjoying leg hair, but somehow different standards for men and women, are ok?
/r/MensRights22/07/26 03:53 PM
-1

What kind of stupid analogy is that? It's an opinion vs a personal freedom. They don't like looking at bare legs? Sucks to be them, but giving a group the right to uncover their legs, while stopping another group from doing it, is completely different.
/r/MensRights22/07/26 02:16 PM
-5

Sure, but the logic is the same. Why are men allowed to have their legs exposed, but women aren't? It doesn't have to be about heat, it's about equal standards. Governor being a woman is irrellevant. This isn't a government mandate, it's a sugestion to companies. Companies can choose to relax their rules or not. If their only doing it for one gender, it's sexist. It's like all the stories we see from schools who allow skirts for girls, but don't allow shorts for boys. It's sexist.
/r/MensRights22/07/26 11:27 AM
-4

Could've also quoted the part where, despite the laxing in these rules, women are still expected to wear stockings. We either want equality or we don't. We can't have it both ways. If men are allowed to wear shorts, without problem, wich they should definitelly be, then women shouldn't be forced to wear stockings to cover their legs either. This is literally a rage-baiting article.

So yes, one 10 month article that doesn't provide any actual sources for it, while literally saying they already have a large market segment that they want to grow even more. It's a nothing burger, made to cause a reaction, wich it clearly got. At no point, has Disney stated that they are looking to create more content aimed at boys. If anything, what they are doing for boys has been a heavy focus on videogames.
/r/MensRights10/07/26 06:02 PM

By reports, do you mean one article that was copy/pasted numerous times, 10 months ago? The one that spoke about 2 supposed "sources"? The one Disney refused to comment on, and was specifically about Gen Z men, wich wouldn't even make sense with your timeframe? I counted films and shows released by Walt Disney Pictures. And no, I didn't count sidekicks, because if I did, those 5 movies with women leads between 2006 and 2015 would go down even further with both Tangled and Princess and the Frog b…

In the past 10 years, Disney has released 26 animated movies. Of those 8 had boys or men leads 8 had girls or women leads Besides those 3 had animal or object male leads 3 had animal or object female leads And the rest have both male and female leads. But maybe it was the 10 years before that, when they released 25 movies 7 had boys or men leads 5 had girls or women leads 12 had animal or object male leads 1 had non-human female leads Trust me, you don't want me to list the 10 years before that.…

I might hurt some people's feellings here, but most people fail to realise that MRM, as a community, constantly shoots itself in the foot. The MRM, at its core, is incredibly progressive. It aims to change the status quo for the better. To give more oportunities to men who suffer because they were born men. It aims to voice their struggles and protect them from regressive policies. The core values of MRM are woke. The problem is, a vast part of the community would hiss at such an idea, and that'…

According to pewresearch, 55% of men voted for him, and according to US census, 63.7% of men voted, so 55% of the 63.7% who voted gets you 35%.

Ah, then it's actually 36% of women who voted for Kamala and 29% who voted for Trump, while 35% of men voted for Trump, while only 29% of men voted for Kamala. So, a 7% difference. Last time there was a 7% difference in a presidential election was Obama and Mccain.
/r/MensRights23/06/26 01:33 AM

Ah, so 67% of men and 70% of women voted for Kamala? Weird she didn't win then. Actually 53% of women voted for Kamala, while 55% of men voted for Trump.

I disagree. Yes, feminism has failed men, but it failed men because it isn't progressive enough. Feminism itself isn't necessarily left-wing either. It keeps moving to the right, actually, exactly because it aims to maintain the status quo. Feminism, today, focuses on keeping the rights gained decades ago. Sure, there's still a few things it seeks, but most of those are either, returning rights lost, like abortion, or the maintenance of the idea that women are exploited. The MRM, as a movement, …

It's not my rules/definitions, man. It's the reality. Men's Rights is not a conservative movement, it does not aim to go backwards, like the character in that show wants you to believe. It aims to move forward. To make people see male victims of rape and DV as actual people. To give a voice to men who feel desperate. To put male and female genital mutilation on the same level. These are incredibly woke objectives, since most people who consider themselves woke, don't go this far. I do hope you'r…

Hate to break it to you, but the Men's Rights movement is, by definition, woke. The entire point is to be aware (woke) of systemic gender bias against men, within the systems of society. It is one of the most woke movements there is. Having an idiot expound about men not being able to say what they want, does nothing for the movement, except hurt it. Also, btw, I'm not a democrat, as I'm not american, and even if I was american, I still wouldn't be. Democrats are too right wing, and social chang…

It's even worse when you really think about the situation. As a movement, Men's Rights should lean progressive. It's not trying to go back, it's trying to move forward, yet, a huge chunk of the members in this community are concervative, most of whom want progressive policies implemented. If anything, this should be a far-left movement, yet, it's the far-right gaining traction with it.

You can't ignore that words have meanings. American liberals are also not leftist. They're center/right. That's not semantics. Just a fact.
/r/MensRights15/07/25 02:50 PM
4

I disagree completely. I think you're basing that opinion on a pre-conceived notion of what woke is, because you see the word "woke" as someone being overly sensitive and agressive about everything. It's the same thing with the political spectrum, but I don't think people are ready to be told men's rights is, socially, to the left of feminism. There are no "woke ideologies". There's being woke or not. Again, by seeing the inequalities men face on a daily basis, you are more woke than the people …
/r/MensRights15/07/25 02:25 PM
3

It's used by people who only heard it on the internet, to mock, sure, but the actual meaning didn't change. Are some people overly sensitive and see inequality everywhere? Sure. Even in our movement, we've seen that. You don't have to scroll too far to see overly sensitive complaints. Doesn't change the fact that at it's core, there's no movement more woke than men's rights at this time.
/r/MensRights15/07/25 02:20 PM
5

"Everyone is tired of woke" My dude, it literally doesn't get more woke than men's rights. "Woke" means being aware of inequalities within the system. The Men's rights movement is extremely woke. It is, in fact, more woke than feminism who still, in a lot of cases, refuses to see how men are being left behind. By virtue of being here, advocating for men, you are woke.

I gave one, I could just as easily talk about your transphobia. It's still too obvious, plus, you're just proving my point. I'm sure you fell that your hate is 100% desrved, but it's not. Most humans just want to live their lives in peace. There's no "more believable" or "less believable". It's a process. It's a process that takes many shapes. In this case, it takes the shape of hiding gender war sentiment, behind the idea of white knights. In others, it hides that same sentiment behind "women and children first" or "suffering sexist abuse" that they never explain. If you make this sub into an echo chamber, you lose it. Men's rights are pro-men, not anti-woman.

No, it doesn't. Stop falling for media that doesn't have your interest at heart. Progressives, no matter how far some tell you they are from you, are still much closer than conservatives. This isn't an opinion, this is literally party policies. You have faces in media who pretend to be on your side with the sole intention of filling their pockets. They'll tell you you're being repressed and thus, should go back to the good old times. Those good old times were worse for men. Stop falling for it.

That's arguable. Has the studio released that data yet? Or is that just what you assume based on the movies content and how it made you feel? I'm guessing he's asking where your bounderies lie, like, can she have guy friends? Can she laugh at their jokes? Can she hug them? Where is the line that you don't think should be crossed?

Isn't positive discrimination just priviledge?
/r/MensRights21/07/22 10:03 AM

Not really though, I doubt women in bearing age make up even 5% of all lawmakers so they're not really making much of an impact.
/r/MensRights16/07/22 01:05 PM
-3

It's not about the rights of men, if lawmakers could get pregnant they would definitely make abortion legal. Same with war, if they had to go in the frontlines they wouldn't be so willing to declare it.
/r/MensRights16/07/22 08:42 AM

Also to boulder men
/r/MensRights20/05/22 03:32 PM

Excuses, excuses, excuses, plenty of men have created charities, plenty have done great things for Men's Rights, the fact you're here feelling sorry for yourself tells me you don't actually want change, you want your victimhood. If you think men don't fight together why aren't you talking to the men in your community? In your family?
/r/MensRights13/01/22 10:42 AM

that's apart from Mother's Day , Christmas , New Year's , where women get all the attention and men are just in the sideshow used as wallets. What kind of New Year's do you have that it's all about women? do men get prostate cancer awareness month?? Yes, September, all cancers have an awareness month, if you don't think prostate cancer has enough attention why not dedicate your time and money to shine a bigger light on it? That's what women do about breast cancer, breast cancer gets attention …

Not talking about mental health, I know we're still not in the perfect place but compared to 20 years ago we're moving forward and acceptance that men's mental health is important is growing. Men talk about their feelings now more than ever.
/r/MensRights11/01/22 02:33 PM

The hell were they thinking? Honestly, you had 16 year olds beating the World Champions in soccer, not just beating them, destroying them, and someone actually thought this was a good idea?
/r/MensRights14/11/21 11:53 PM

Yeah, the entire article is weird, it says he was a father at 14, wich is clearly not the case due to dates but either it happened when he was 15 and the child was born when he was 16 or the child simply isn't his wich would be easily provable by doing the math.
/r/MensRights10/11/21 07:27 PM

These idiots either think they can solve the issue at the top wich is dumb or they're just doing this for the clout wich is even dumber
/r/MensRights29/10/21 12:44 PM

Found it and it's even worse
/r/MensRights28/10/21 09:09 PM

Yes, because those organizations went to the NFL and got a partnership, they didn't do it out of the goodness of their heart, they did it because it was good marketing. The more men's health organizations grow the more they can do, it's a snowball effect. If we want to see more awareness being raised we need to start with ourselves.
/r/MensRights25/10/21 04:16 PM
22

That's not true. Every cancer gets an awareness month, if you feel like breast cancer gets more attention it's because women do a lot during October to raise awareness for it. Men should do more for men too, but they don't, November is just around the corner so raise awareness for No Shave November, an organization that raises awareness and money to multiple foundations who research cancers including prostate and testicular cancer. Talk to people about it, share it, make it bigger than it alread…
/r/MensRights25/10/21 02:02 PM
7

That's great but even with all those precautions there's still a chance of it happening, there's nothing wrong with there being a medical procedure in place in case it happens anyway, I don't see how that's bad and I especially don't see how bringing a child into the world when you can't raise it is good either.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 03:39 PM
4

How will you raise people to do that without pushing for celibicy wich simply doesn't work and is incredibly damaging to mental health? There's no other 100% effective method of birth control.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 02:55 PM
14

You're giving a bad faith example, that's a fringe situation, it will affext far more men who are not ready or stable enough to be fathers than it will men who want to.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 02:41 PM

You're answering something I'm not questioning, will it affect him? It really doesn't matter what your answer is really, if you say it doesn't affect him you're a cynical moron with no experience in the matter, if you say yes you're just an hypocrite, either way we're done
/r/MensRights02/09/21 02:14 PM
1

I don't care about your cynicism, the question is, if he wants her to abort but she can't because of this law, will it affect him or not? This isn't a hard question
/r/MensRights02/09/21 02:02 PM
1

That's... what I'm saying
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:57 PM
2

So if he wants her to abort and she agrees but she can't because of this law that's not gonna affect his life?
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:54 PM
2

They do if both the man and woman agree to the abortion but the state doesn't give them time, how are men not gonna be affectedby that? You act like most abortions are a one-sided decision, they're not, both partners agree to the decision and this is going to affect both women and men.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:51 PM

Usually, but when the other party is so dense that it's willing to give up its own rights to see others lose theirs there's no arguments to be made.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:47 PM
11

That's got nothing to do with this law wich will affect men as well. How is that good?
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:38 PM

At least now I'm down to your level making us equal, you should apreciate that.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:37 PM

Oh, of course, as long as women are getting fucked it doesn't matter that men get fucked, genius. A true advocate for the rights of men. Fucking moron.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:36 PM
3

By celebrating men getting fucked by this shit, great work on that
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:23 PM

Because of the comments on this post calling a clump of cells a baby. What you're advocating for here isn't more rights for men, it's less rights for women, that's the stupid part, instead of complainting that they're taking people's rights away, and yes, PEOPLE'S, this is going to affect men too, you're celebrating it, a sub about men's rights is celebrating that men are going to be fucked by this.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 01:02 PM

But it doesn't take two to birth it, if you want to be a father adopt, don't force women to be mothers

/r/MensRights02/09/21 12:41 PM

The connection is the daughter telling her the man had molested them and the son assaulting a paedophile
/r/MensRights28/08/21 07:26 PM
-8

"Corinna Smith, 59, from Neston, Cheshire, had been told by her daughter that husband Michael Baines, 80, had sexually assaulted her and her brother when they were children" Sounds like the daughter told her directly
/r/MensRights28/08/21 07:08 PM
-11

I don't agree with most of that sub but I also can't say I blame the woman, imagine your daughter coming to you and telling you your son commited suicide because your spouse molested them as children... not only that, the son had been to prison before for assault on a paedofile? We've discussed suicide at length on this sub and childood trauma is the most common reason, I honestly don't know what I'd do.
/r/MensRights28/08/21 06:34 PM
12

Honestly true, even as a guy I don't always agree with everything that's said here so I can imagine the ladies might disagree a lot too, I'm glad even in disagreement we can find common ground and hopefully we can see less generalization of women in this sub from some of our members.
/r/MensRights21/08/21 12:38 AM

Wanna bet?
/r/MensRights06/08/21 12:52 AM
11

You're being a hypocrite and trying to gaslight at the same time, you cherrypick comments here but ignore comments on twoX who are blatantly sexist, you write kill all men in there and you get upvoted.
/r/MensRights06/08/21 12:27 AM
12

Then you're not paying attention, most posts here are also rants against horrible people who are women, what's your point?
/r/MensRights06/08/21 12:06 AM
11

Is it that common though? Most posts here are not rants against women, same with the comments, you can cherrypick a couple that are misogynistic but that's like any sub, it's gonna have controversial posts, is it in a normal rate? Yes, you go to any feminist sub and you'll see a lot more rants against men than you see here against women.
/r/MensRights05/08/21 11:52 PM

I got banned for saying standards (in a relationship) are low for both men and women, imagine the horror.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 10:28 AM

On this one I gotta disagree, specifically because his friend is also telling him to wear a helmet to be safe and the wife isn't really being toxic with him, just wants him to be safe, also he isn't being portrayed as the usual toxic male as he's worried about his braids getting messed up. So while I agree the media tends to portray men as bumbling fools a lot, I don't think this fits that descritption
/r/MensRights22/07/21 03:14 PM

This is why women shouldn't be allowed to be in charge of anything! This is why black people shouldn't be allowed to be in charge of anything! This is why gays shouldn't be allowed to be in charge of anything! This is why men shouldn't be allowed to be in charge of anything! Either all these are offensive or none is
/r/MensRights21/07/21 11:32 PM

Probably banned automatically for following subs they deem offensive
/r/MensRights15/07/21 01:59 PM

I think that tends to happen with every trend on there, someone makes a completely harmless joke, it goes viral, some people start doing the exact same but always trying to add something to it until someone goes too far or a new trend shows up.
/r/MensRights14/07/21 03:18 PM

So unfounded accusations aren't false? if they have nothing to show for and after investigation it is ruled that said accusation was unfounded, that is a false accusation, you're ignoring numbers to fit your narrative, every organization puts the number between 2% and 10% and here you are claiming it's 1/4 of the lowest possible number.
/r/MensRights14/07/21 11:12 AM
26

Where did you get that stat from? There is no actual way of determining what amount of rape allegations are false, 5-6% is the number of rape allegations proven false btw, not 0,5% but then only 6% of rape allegations are proven true so how exactly did you get that number?
/r/MensRights14/07/21 10:38 AM
12

Dude, same, just got banned because I said standards for both men and women are low, when I asked how that broke any of their rules they ignored me.
/r/MensRights28/06/21 05:00 PM

The amount of false witch accusations is very small, it very RARELY happens so even bringing it up borders on a derailment tactic. It's a microscopic risk in comparison to the issue at hand (worldwide, systemic magic spells on half the population) And more importantly, the benefit of all of us getting to finally tell the truth + the impact on victims FAR outweighs the loss of any one woman's life. Sorry if some innocent woman's life have to take a hit in the process of undoing the covens, that i…

True, but it is better to rise above than to lower ourselves to their level, if we're respectful and they're not, it is easier for other men to see that this is place for them to be accepted instead of a place for assholes to be toxic.

This isn't femicide, femicide is a very small part of these numbers

"Most of the time, black people are both the victims and the killers. I don't get your point tho."- You
/r/MensRights11/05/21 10:42 PM

How is that important? We're not trying to protect the murderers, we're trying to protect the victims, the victims are men.
/r/MensRights11/05/21 10:39 PM
16

That might just save muslims from ending up in Guantanamo, no reason to put it on the list...
/r/MensRights07/05/21 01:49 PM

Written sarcasm is hard but you could understand his point by looking at the responses he's got.
/r/MensRights19/04/21 02:27 PM
11

I think it really depends on how you classify abuse, if a woman hits a man and he doesn't take it as something bad, is it abuse? If a woman calls a man a jerk for no reason is it abuse even if he takes it as a joke? I think the nuance around this issue ends up being the big problem when studying this.
/r/MensRights16/04/21 03:14 PM
10

I understand your point but calling that toxic masculinity misses the point, he was obviously insecure about his sexuality, calling him toxic because of that is like blaming a victim.
/r/MensRights14/04/21 02:26 PM

Higher yes, but not entirely, there's never any mention of men being raped at all, certainly not 38% of the time
/r/MensRights05/04/21 02:28 PM
1

The thing is, you never hear anything about how we should protect male rape victims, 38% is a huge number.
/r/MensRights05/04/21 10:42 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
