Used to be an easy 215lbs at +35% bf. Am now 176 11% in the middle of a cut after a very successful bulk. Not only did I lose weight, I became an amateur bodybuilder. Had a lot of role models show me the whey and now I'm looking sick. Every day I'm reminded of how fucking sweet it that I decided to do this. Each workout I humble myself with the iron and every day is a mixture of feelz when I'm approached by others asking me for tips or girls eyeing me. I get agitated easily at others because the…

Genetics when it comes to lifting only accounts for small discrepancies in aesthetics ie. uneven abs or a flat chest. Anyone who lifts hard, sleeps right, eats the proper food, and doesn't have the testosterone of a 4yr old will get jacked. Don't pollute this sub with garbage.

Mate guarding is ineffective in the long run but effective in the short run. Abundance is ineffective in the short run but effective in the long run. Suit yourself.

Genuinely enjoyed your response; mine would have been something incredibly similar. Great field report.

Do you need to be a TV critic to enjoy watching TV 2+hrs a day? How about the restaurant you love so much and recommended to Jill the other week. Is your love of food paying your bills brah? You a food critic? Do you play guitar professionally? Are you a pro tennis player? Have you sold your workshop projects before? Lifting is love man. Best results are when you do it right. And to do it right is to understand what works and what doesn't. If you want to get minimum things all your life, go ahea…

Lift no more than three times a week? Let me assure you that benefits may be made lifting 5-6 times a week without the use of steroids. If anything I found more progress (in terms of pure hypertrophy) with volume than anything else. As long as you're eating nutritious food and following a decent macro split, sleeping and resting properly and using proper form, you should have no issues lifting more than 3 times a week.

It's only disrespectful if you give a fuck. I recommend you read the post... it was quite insightful.

For any of you gentlemen considering fasting, check out lean gains. I fast for 16 hours a day and eat all of my calories in a 8 hour window. Over 3.5 weeks, I've lost 5-6lbs of fat and water. None of my lifts have suffered, nor have my workouts in any way. I'd highly recommend fasting to everyone.

We're mammals. Don't forget that. Mammals respect size, and more specifically, mammals respect muscle. Muscle shows a lot of things. Muscle implies you have command of your body in the sense that your hormones are functional and your body is working as intended. It shows that you are able to acquire the proper nutrition required to feed your demanding body, and have the knowledge to eat the right foods at the right times with proper rest. We're mammals after all, no? What are muscles? They're a …

Was thinking of taking a rest day today, seeing how I haven't taken one this week. My current program has me resting once a week. Immediately grabbing my gym bag and smashing chest. Thanks for the motivation.

I'm happy for the first time in what feels like an eternity. I'm happy that my life requires a lot of work, and I'm honestly excited to start becoming a fucking man. I'm 20 years old and forever thankful I found this sub, which, for lack of better words, I'd consider to be the world's 'rulebook'.

It's just not a priority for you. I'm in school and work part time yet I lift 5 times a week for 1-1.25hrs. To each their own.

Progress is progress, right on brother. Now stop wasting your time and join a real gym and use weights, you could gain what you got in that year in less than 2 months. The fundamentals of building muscle are tearing it through stress and repairing it with nutrition and rest. You can't tear muscle once you've progressed to the max with your 'body' weight exercises. Think of your body as an adaptive engine. If you push it to 100km/hr, it'll eventually become a 100km/hr engine. The body builds on i…

Ephedrine and Caffeine. If you're anything like me, your mother will have never taught you what a proper diet or calorie was. You need an appetite suppressant. Throw out everything that isn't healthy. Count your calories and macros. Lift. Now fucking do it, because it's not hard. Don't be a bitch. Tip: Use those water enhancers to add flavour to your water. You'll never have to drink pop again. Best of luck.

My workouts are usually alone. Friends come and go all the time mate. You can teach them the form and show them the diet, but after all is done is said, almost no one adapts the bodybuilder mindset. No one sees the hours spent in the gym and the meals prepped. They don't see the money spent on memberships, clothing, and supplements. They don't see the effort and perseverance in the gym, and your daily sweat you wipe off your face. What they see is the end result. They're mirin' but not willing t…

I used to suffer a lot from depression and social anxiety. First thing I did was cut out all pornography and masturbation, and followed that by limiting my video game time. Secondly, I fixed my diet and drank 2L+ of water a day while working out 5 times per week. Then, I simply dealt with shit. Feeling blue? So fucking what. Life moves on. Finish that set and go read a book. Anxious at the bar? Approach the hottest girl and make a fool of yourself. See who really cares. My philosophy is simple. …

You don't. That's the thing. You embrace it. Allow yourself to feel your lust. Acknowledge it. Really think about what your body is tempting you of. Then do something productive.

Worked for me. Nofap, in conjugation with eating right and cold showers, has done wonders for my attitude and workouts.

I personally go through periods. There's those couple of days where I'm sick, so I'll play video games all day long and think nothing of it. But otherwise, I rarely touch them. On average, I'd say I spend maybe 20 minutes gaming a day. The majority of that time is spent playing on my phone during some boring transitions in my life, such as riding the train. I used to play a lot of video games and made it a big part of my identity. I can assure you that the activity brings nothing of actual merit…
