That system makes sense, because it rewards results rather than just showing up while also not making it impossible for anyone that doesn't have great starting fitness. I just don't think it's enough to grade based solely on whether people are participating... the real world doesn't, why should schools?

I don't think that's a very good system. You don't get full marks just for attempting maths and english if you get it all wrong, why should you get full marks for PE despite being shit at it?
