plenty of STEM guys have lots of money / zero bitches but I would think they're too risk averse to buy sex

I can also attest that my female friends are way more graphic when they talk about sex. With my guy friends, it's only acceptable to tell a story if it's funny, like oh her dog licked my ass while we were fucking. If it's overt or humblebragging, they just get hit with the "cool story bro."

because in my experience women are much kinkier than men Well unless you also have sex with men, that seems obvious. You have firsthand experience with women whereas you'll only ever know what your guy friends are willing to tell you. No guy has ever told me he likes a finger up the ass, but statistically I'm sure I know dozens. Hell, my best friend has never even told me he's in an open relationship, even though we live in the same building and I've known for months.

Agreed, I'm Mexican and never use shampoo, just an occasional apple cider vinegar rinse. And if you live somewhere with hard water, a soft water filter is absolutely life changing. Humidity can also take curls to the next level, but there's only so much you can control.

I understand the stereotype of redditors, but I think people fail to consider that a ton of people spend time here because they have high-paying jobs that require very little work. And the type of person who can get paid to do nothing typically has charisma and/or status. Doesn't mean they can use that free time to go fly fishing or whatever, but they can fuck around on reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/24 09:37 PM

Someone accuses me of "trolling" or "picking on people" for speaking my truth They always reduce any positive male experience to being anecdotal. Thing is, people have anecdotes because they actually have friends and relationships in real life. These nerds seem to think they're blessed with objectivity because they have no real-world experience to contradict the ragebait they mainline every day.

I had a very very active social life in college and every guy I knew (if they were single) loved drinking and hooking up, couldn't get enough of it. That's the default understanding of the "college experience." I'm aware that tons of people – maybe the silent majority – didn't live like that, but they were already opting out by being introverts. I've been in a loving and stable relationship for many years now, but I cannot fathom why I would ever have turned down a hookup with an attractive girl…

I think education has declined across the board, but in addition to restoring those standards, we need new kinds of education. Media literacy is the biggest one imo, which seemingly all generations lack. Imagine if the average person knew to be skeptical of what they saw online (AI, trolling, etc.), had an awareness of algorithms and the outrage machine, knew how to verify sources and evaluate whether a study or survey had any merit. Maybe we'd have more than two political parties and people wou…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/24 08:53 PM

Sorry I made a typo, meant to say I won't argue that women *aren't pickier. And idk if studies account for this, but I'm curious if the number of bot accounts is significant enough to skew anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/24 06:52 PM

I won't argue that women are pickier on dating apps, but the ratio of men to women on the apps is insanely lopsided. I wouldn't be surprised if 7% of men equals more people than 40% of women. So if a woman is actually looking for a relationship in good faith, it'd just be impractical to match with that many men.

Well then there's at least two. I have lots of female friends I've stayed close with almost ten years out of college as well as women from my past jobs. They check in on me, we visit each other and meet up for trips, send random gifts, share music. I'm still friends with several former FWBs and one of my closest friends is an ex who I broke up with years ago. After six years together, my gf is very trusting and has her own friendships with my female friends. She only dated women before me so I t…

Facts, I've had girls who were lukewarm or even disliked me a little until we got into bed and I got it done on the first night. After that, they were obsessed every single time, and this was during the absolute brokest phase of my life. I'm a hair below average height and have a big, aesthetically-pleasing dick, so I think there was an element of surprise for girls who maybe thought they were compromising. Like damn I found this thing on deep discount and I'm locking it down.

Nothing wrong with some good word of mouth. I went to school in a true college town, and everything changed after I became FWB with an extremely popular alcoholic girl with a big mouth lol. Doesn't necessarily make you relationship material, but it's great advertising for when a girl decides she just wants a satisfying hookup. Actually there was this one time I invited a Tinder match to meet me at a party and I saw all her friends laughing hysterically as we left together. Turns out she was a vi…

This is how me and my friends operate. We only give details if they're funny (names redacted), and bragging is extremely frowned upon unless it's a guy who never gets laid. Like if I told the group chat I had a threesome with two 10s, I'd get left on read or called a tool. If I say a girl's dog licked my ass in the middle of sex, then the group chat is popping for an hour or two.

The context for being solo matters too. I moved to a huge city straight out of college and knew zero people. Women obviously didn't see that as a red flag – they just admired the boldness, and some even viewed it as a green flag that they could sort of "show me the world." Now if I'd lived somewhere for five years and didn't have any friends, that would be a red flag.

I can't remember what show/movie this was from, but there's a scene where a construction worker is catcalling a woman in front of his buddies and she's like "fine, come fuck me in that port o potty in five minutes" and he's like whoa lady I'm married, what's your problem. Does a good job showing the real motive like you said.

In my country wars are fought for rich people, and I feel horrible for all those who died and suffered in vain. We didn't spend 20 years in Afghanistan to make average Americans safer.

Ok I have a worldview, which is not at all uncommon, that my individual actions will not save humanity. My duty is to my loved ones and surrounding community – things I have a personal connection to and can thus make a meaningful personal sacrifice. To me, the American flag is just something racists fly on their pickup trucks. The premise that I could be the difference between the country burning or surviving is simply ridiculous and not worth engaging. (Also I'm a man).

Exactly, the solution already exists. Tons of people would have kids if it was economically feasible. They don't need bribes, just a chance to succeed at giving their kids and themselves a good life.

I don't take any glee in saying this, but I have a feeling millennials are going to dominate the fuck out of every generation that comes after, at least in political and professional life. We grew up with more hope, confidence, socialization, better education and were raised by hard ass parents. I've managed some really high-achieving grads from top schools and they don't have an assertive bone in their bodies. This generation drinks way less too – and I'm not saying that's good or bad – but I'd wager a huge portion of past generations had their earliest romantic/sexual experiences while drinking. Going into my senior year of high school, I had never even come close to kissing a girl. Then I lost my virginity the very first time I got drunk. Obviously there's a dark side to all of this, but lots of meek, harmless guys just need help getting out of their heads and then gain lasting confidence as a resul…

/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 05:53 PM

I was ready to agree, but opened the pic and you chose Ciara as your example??? There are hundreds of athletes dating glorified hookers and literal porn stars, but Ciara is just a normal ass celeb who got famous the old fashioned way and made top 10 hits. Probably had more money and certainly more fame than Russ when they met, so I would trust her intentions way more than most of the girls athletes date/marry. And again lol I agree with you I'm just baffled by the example. Plus I actually like l…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 05:47 PM

it seems like those men are ultimately calling male sexuality degenerate You see this too with dads of daughters, though they're explicit about it. "I know how degenerate boys are because I used to be one" is a very common justification for being overprotective.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 05:10 PM

I'll admit I wasn't exactly looking for a wife, but when I was younger I preferred dating girls with high body counts. Because I was a nasty ho myself and didn't want to be a hypocrite, or have her feel insecure about the gap in sexual experience. Generally, I felt more compatible with girls who viewed sex like I did, while low body count girls just saw what they wanted to see. It was like they'd try to force closeness between us to rationalize why they were enjoying what was actually casual sex…

I've always made more money than my partner, but my wfh job is pretty frivolous and easy, while her job actually helps people and can be absolutely exhausting and soul crushing. So I don't really give a shit who makes more money – we're a team and it is much much easier for me to find the time and energy for household chores. Her selflessness and passion is a huge part of why I fell in love with her and I'm so glad I can help support that.

Salute, my brother. My partner of six years exclusively dated women before me, so I literally would've never had a shot with the love of my life if I wasn't so effeminate. If anything, it took awhile for me to get comfortable embracing my more bro-ey traits in our relationship lol – now I can finally live my truth as a talented fantasy football manager. I will say, I think I've had the luxury of exploring my feminine side because my surface masculine traits are so pronounced (aside from height).…

You would think that would be the end of feminism Women didn't get civil rights because everyone unanimously agreed that men and women are equal. It was a fight, and the opposition didn't just flip their worldview overnight because, oh well, it's the law now. Shockingly, people didn't stop being racist after black people got civil rights either. It tends to be the people in power who want things to stay the same. They have ways of doing that regardless of what the law says.

A quarter of adoptions in the US (from foster care fwiw) are by single women. I don't think adoption is anyone's first choice, but if a man feels his life would be incomplete without fatherhood, the option exists. And I think it's an incredibly admirable thing to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/24 07:02 PM

If being a father is that important to them, they can always adopt. Plenty of single women do it.

How often do you think women are consciously holding back genuine compliments? I'm sure most women have had the experience of a compliment being misinterpreted as interest, and I'm guessing it only takes a couple times before they learn that lesson. But I don't think that means they're regularly like 'God I'm dying to tell that nerd his shoes are cool but my vagina is so unwet.' Unless you're suggesting that women should play a lifelong icebreaker game where they have to dig up something nice to…

Sounds about right. Not only was our team mostly women, but they were like emaciated models and entertainment industry friends who could barely lift a bat lol. The few other women in the league were the standard butch athletes you picture when you hear "softball." So I think the novelty of our team and the nonexistent pressure made it really attractive to women who never would've played under any other conditions. I was good friends with the founder and most of the other guys were someone's boyf…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/24 10:02 PM

Leagues usually have some kind of rule that you need at least 2 women on the team and it’s always a chore to find those 2 women My softball league was like this... except my team which was probably 75% women. Naturally we lost every game like 30-0 lol and there were always random dudes begging to play ringer.

Well I can tell you that the women are conscious of this too, and it's not necessarily intentional. I have a handful of single female friends who've complained that they get no attention when we hang out 1:1 lol (I'm taken). It's also funny how differently guys will treat me when they assume we're together. My gf is obviously stunning to me, but she's more of an academic artsy tomboy type, while some of my friends are your standard influencer baddies. Suddenly I'll have gym bros showing me respe…

For real, my political views fall onto the left side of the spectrum, but just understanding that greed and dominance are human nature cuts through 99 percent of ideological bullshit. The system isn't fucked because we call it "capitalism" – it's because powerful people have one priority, and that's staying in power. Being rich kicks ass and people's morals get real flexible once they have the chance to benefit from inequality. Same goes for gender bs. Any incel could wake up as Chad tomorrow an…

2015-2016 was my senior year of college and that's exactly where I would pinpoint the shift. I went to a really fratty state school in the midwest, and if you weren't part of that scene, there wasn't much to do. It was the kind of time and place where you could still get beat up for being gay (or looking it), and that affected a majority of my friends. So we started from the bottom and eventually accrued enough outcasts to throw small parties where everyone was welcome and the vibe was absolutel…

Totally agree about wisdom, and it's been such a privilege to share that with my younger friends, though they certainly would not relate to the struggles on this sub. I think where we diverge most from younger generations is the availability of opportunities and attention. I remember what it was like feeling insecure and shy around girls, but I don't know what it's like to never be around girls in the first place. Yeah I think that cycle is just happening faster, and that's what makes it harder to digest as a still-young person. When I was 25, I befriended some coworkers in their early 30s who still partied super hard and their college stories sounded almost exactly like my own. Now I'm 30 and I feel like my college experience is probably more similar to the 1970s than the 2020s.

People are much more willing to put up with shitty situations as long as they're temporary, and I think you're right about artists and transplants just doing whatever it takes to get a foot in the door – I sure as hell slept on some floors when I first moved here. Thing is, a time comes when people realize those shitty situations aren't as temporary as they hoped and end up moving back home once they've reached the limit. Definitely agree that geography/cost of living makes a difference. I briefly worked a service job when I first moved to LA seven+ years ago and all my coworkers were natives who lived with their families in rent controlled apartments/houses. I was shocked myself, didn't have a car or job when I moved in with my parents, and girls had no problem picking me up and dropping me off from my parents' house. I did get a good job and a car after a couple months, and I had a very sympathetic reason for moving in with my parents (severe/inhumane medical debt) so I think I beat the NEET charges fortunately. But I'm gonna chalk it up to the fact that I was at my zenith of bipolar mania lmao and that has the temporary effect of making you irresi…

I think there's a huge difference between living with your parents and living with roommates. With roommates, it shows you have friends, you pay your own rent and you value your independence, whether that's buying your own groceries or decorating your own space. And most importantly, it's not weird to have sex under the same roof as your roommates, but the same cannot be said of parents. Living with parents is the absolute best way to pay off your debts and save up money – I did it myself at 25 …

/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/24 10:18 PM

Also important to know about these interactions – were they single or in another relationship? I've found some old wounds can be healed when both parties are in happy relationships and feel like things worked out for the best. But in situations where they're single, I've had exes be super cold because they still had feelings and wanted to protect themselves. Naturally they'd tell me that after having a backslide and hooking up again lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/24 09:33 PM

Why do you think I'm upset lmao I just said that the average lifestyle sucks and it's perfectly normal to want more. If you're fixating on "it's stupid to expect" I didn't mean "you should split everything 50/50 with your rich partner." I meant that the odds of an average person getting in a relationship with a rich person are extremely slim, and they'll be disappointed if their life goals depend on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/24 09:08 PM

Regardless of who earns the money and how they do it, it just sucks to be an average American. The average American will never own a house, never retire and will go bankrupt from one trip to the emergency room. I've heard people say things like: "I don't need a lot, I just want to own a modest house in a safe neighborhood, send my kids to good schools and take a vacation every once in awhile..." without realizing that lifestyle is only possible for the upper-middle class and above (if you live i…

For sure, a couple should divide up responsibilities because they give a shit about each other, not because they're maintaining a ledger. I've had bullshit remote jobs where I worked like two hours a day and made twice as much as my gf, who actually helps people for a living. I've got a decent sample size – 30+ first dates, split the bill every time, had sex the first night probably 90 percent of the time. And more than half of these happened before I moved to a big city, so I don't think it's necessarily a regional thing. In all my long-term relationships, I've worried far more that I don't give as much as I get. Maybe it means I have god-level vetting skills that I've avoided this parasitic majority of women, but the simpler explanation is that you're wrong. And fo…
