you said initially: Women compare their lives to a group of people who aren't allowed to complain... don't see the obvious problem with that. This is quite a generalization, and as such is incorrect, not every woman does this. I think that is all that Drop_ was trying to point out.

It's a sort of stupid statistic because it ignores the amount of time that women spend time with children vs the amount of time that men spend time with children. Since women are overwhelmingly the primary caregivers, it stands to reason that they will also by numerically larger abusers. In this case though, they are arguing that men are more likely to harm children, which this clearly disproves, they don't care if it's in proportion to time spent with kids, so we don't need to either.
