referrals for women and same-sex partners who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. Interesting that they took one step forward in supporting same sex relations, but a step back by suggesting men can't be victims in heterosexual relations. Only men can abuse other men?

Similar. Like the US we have state and federal laws, and each state has its own government that feeds up to the federal government. So things like tax and healthcare are federal (which is why unlike the US tax is included in the price cos its the same country wide). I'll be honest, I'm not sure how far the state governments can separate themselves from the federal, it always seemed to me like we all mostly line up.

Fortunately that's just WA's state department, the one for Victoria for example is much better: http://www.dhs.vic.gov.au/for-individuals/children,-families-and-young-people/family-violence/get-help-now The Men's Referral Service is an anonymous and confidential telephone service provided for men by men Male victims of family violence can contact the Victims of Crime Helpline for information, advice, support, and access to the Victims Assistance Program.

She wanted to get the same paychecks she had been receiving, without having to do the same work she had been doing. You just defined maternity leave in most the world. Usual pay while on leave for your child. Paternity leave is the same, although not as many days are usually offered.

This was image cross posted and he showed up in that thread saying his immune system is holding up to chemo and there are no signs it has spread beyond his liver. The liver tumors are shrinking and the colon ones gone. If he immune system maintains, his can continue chemo and hopefully get good results, where for the unfortunate their immune system gives out halting chemo which let's cancer spread. Do you want to treat women like children or like adults (equals)? It is not possible to do the latter without acknowledging facts. I don't want to, and I don't. But I'm not in any position of power. Hiring unqualified women to be STEM professors doesn't imply they're worse than men? Well depends on perspective, from their perspective it doesn't because they think they're choosing men for discriminatory reasons 'since it's mans work' and not based on merit. I know. I'm just demonstrating how claiming all MRA's follow the ideology OP posted is false, and that if you change the words around it could just as easily be used by feminists. Most feminists don't see MRA's as for equal rights, just as most MRA's don't see feminists for equal rights. Just because OP posted that MRA's are insistent on being for equal rights doesn't mean that's how others view us. Just as many feminists will be insistent that they're for equal rights and we won't believe it.

Exactly. Changing OP's post to "Despite our insistence we are for equal rights and equitable treatment under the law, MRA's continue to gap about how we want to take away rights from men" I'll bet there are a lot of feminists who would say and stand this.

Do you know how many people are born with brain disabilities? Or lose it from accidents when they are totally innocent? Or families that can't feed themselves, or are abusive to eachother? People who struggle to breath, have no homes, no jobs or transport? I'm glad you're grateful for what you have. You have a reason to be grateful, you have what a …

You ceased resisting me by detaching yourself from reality. Are you implying I am incapable of resisting you outside the plane of existence? Oh, and you don't get worthless internet points for just your own automatic upvote, child. I know, negative karma is still karma. Hence me asking for some. More karma please. edit: Did you honestly think I thought my own upvote counts? Almost 2 years and 9k karma should have been evidence enough that I figured that out

So let me get this straight. Not agreeing with you is surrender? Strange, the dictionary says: Verb; Cease resistance to an enemy or opponent and submit to their authority. You're providing me good entertainment. Especially with the "ill remove his internet points, that'll make him mad" attitude. Please, continue.
/r/MensRights17/10/13 02:41 AM

Hey if that's how you read it then good for you. But regardless of whether you read them face value or not, there was no surrender. Correct me if I'm wrong, but telling you that your argument sucks and that you're are wrong doesn't sound like a defeat. That's all I've been doing.

Oh I didn't mean to give you the vapors, you delicate belle, by using meany words. Ad hominem is fallacy, it weakens your argument. For every step forward you're taking two backward. In addition to that your words are no longer at face value, rather than simply addressing the point you fill the gaps with insults and aggression. For someone who argues for face value, you don't practice what you preach. But yes, leave me to my ignorance. Good day. Case and point.

At the very least that's being manipulative No it isn't. Being manipulative is pre-meditated and intentional. People asking you if you enjoyed being rape, that's a manipulative question. Someone saying they're fine when they aren't, that's just not meaning their words at face value. Big difference. but the real word for it is: Lying Again, up for interpretation and is conditional. Is she lying when she says she's fine? Partially, but you can tell she's lying by the way she says it, and she says …

cagey, manipulative liars Don't put words in my mouth. Putting things not at face value is a human trait, we do it without realising or intending to. Words are weak, they do not express emotion, opinions and ideas. That's why there's there is underlying meaning, because these things don't show on the surface.
/r/MensRights17/10/13 12:27 AM

Yeah sure, generalize a whole group and insult them. You may want to google ad hominem. Anyway. To the point. This isn't a men thing, this a life thing. Unless you truly trust the person, chances are what they're saying isn't face value. Your employer, your political representative, your clients, acquaintances, those people are the bar, heck sometimes even your family will say one thing but not entirely mean it for what it is. If you live life taking everyone's word at face value, then I congrat…

Words mean what they mean. In most cases, they don't. There's always an agenda, motive or ideology behind words. Especially when it comes to rape, the only people asking face value questions will be loved ones.
/r/MensRights16/10/13 12:52 PM

I can see what you're saying. But when questioning a rape victim do you really think they just after a yes or no answer? That they are asking at face value? Any time a male rape victim comes up and some SJW asks if they were aroused, do you really think they are asking that question as face value? Or when they ask if they had an erection, still sound face value to you?
/r/MensRights16/10/13 03:25 AM
0

Okay let me rephrase because I jumped the gun. Were you aroused implies the question were you enjoying it / did you like it / did you want it etc. Unless you have a more likely implication.
/r/MensRights16/10/13 03:11 AM
1

I'm genuinely curious. How else are you meant to think about that question? You were just forced into sex against your will and then asked if you liked it. What other possible angle could that question be going for other than trying to disprove it was actually rape?
/r/MensRights15/10/13 10:58 PM
9

It's inappropriate because it implies the person enjoyed being raped. You would never tell a woman she enjoyed being raped, yet people seem to think its fine telling men they enjoyed it and weren't actually raped.

It's time based, if he got those 6 votes in 10 seconds then yes it would start fuzzing as those numbers are far too quick to be legitimate. If he got 6 votes in an hour then it's unlikely.
