I'll bet BTC against dollars you'd end up on a sex offender registry.

Eh. I think it's helpful to be able to look at a person's point and not just sit cowering about "oh no, they said I was wrong". If you walk into a wall and someone says "you're stupid", I don't think the proper response is to start pontificating about how wrong it is to name-call and how you're victim blaming. Sometimes people should take responsibility for their own life. Crazy, I know.

Oh, so you're habitual jackass. Cool. I refer to that as "the redditor".

This sort of altruism sort of reminds me of my judo sensei. The second principle of judo is "mutual benefit and welfare". Which is basically the type of altruism you're describing, because you realize you're doing it for the benefit you get (enjoyment). And when your benefit stops, the aid to others stops. It's okay to help others. Just don't hurt yourself doing so.

I believe what BlueLid is advocating could be describing as learning non-helplessness...in other words, rather than continuing to argue "complexity" and "helplessness" take responsibility for your life.

Their commented added a small fact some people would find interesting. You were incredibly abusive and offensive and detracted from the conversation. We're on Reddit. Sometimes we have tangents into details. But there is no call for a comment like you made. Please remember you are speaking to people and act with some common courtesy.

Yeah. 'Cause if our species hasn't figured it out in the last few thousand years, it's sure to in the next few minutes. And I was more referring to the gender theory indoctrination. If joining a frat gets you a little feminism 101 lecture now...well, let's just say I see the pendulum going further in that direction before any potential swing back.

Hehehe. Although, in that case, wouldn't the trap solve it, since the more feminine of the two must be the one who was raped? ;-p

No idea. I've heard it's something that happens after a person takes a red pill or something. Maybe it's a blue pill. Something.

Whoa whoa whoa. Let's not be gender normative now! "If a person who identifies as male has sex with a person who identifies as female as per the criminal definition of rape"

\o/ You're quite welcome! It's always fun to get a positive response on these, and I wasn't even apologetic on that one. ;-p I'm so O.o at the "over a year" though, heh. I've got spellcheck in my browser (though it does false positive somewhat) and I'm often on google for definitions or spellings anyhow. But I tend to get bogged down in details, so to each their own!

One concern I have, about all these forums, not just RedPill / MGTOW is that people get completely attached to the worldview to the point that they accept it as reality, and not a map or a model. There is no one true path. There are no panaceas.

Okay, I'm going to be "that guy" this time, just in case it disappears: I am 23 and he is 26, we started dating about 6 months ago. Of all the guys I have dated he has been the most considerate, just being with him has made me a better person. He was the one who encouraged me to go back to nursing school, and has stayed with me despite all my family problems. The problem started when I introduced him to my circle of friends. All of my friends really like him except one who likes him a little too…

That's not what I said. I said I try to only believe true things. Yeah, and my point is that's pretty much a meaningless truism and/or offensive in implication that there's any rational being who doesn't. The last part was rude, sorry about that. Eh, I zinged you back. Fair's fair. ;-p My "argument" is that ignoring some of the most salient aspects of an individual doesn't, in fact, make you more accurate in seeing who they are. I'd like to see an argument supporting this Ask and ye shall receiv…

Or you could, you know, not jam a coke bottle up her ass as foreplay... Wait, what? Damn, I've been doing this all wrong... I'm also not going to bother pissing in that pool, but is it hard to progressively get more adventurous in bed and use subtle communication to figure out what one another likes/doesn't like? Come the fuck on. Gee, that sounds like what my feminism classes taught me was rape. No, really, if one wants to be pedantic and try to actually follow the "approved techniques" of what…

My "argument" is that ignoring some of the most salient aspects of an individual doesn't, in fact, make you more accurate in seeing who they are. I try to live my life only believing things that are true. Thus, I don't believe things unless I have good reason to believe them. Can you say the same thing? That's so incredibly asinine. I certainly can't say it so pretentiously. "I live my world in total perfect rationality. Clearly, because you disagree with me on something, you don't. Checkmate, f…

No generalizations on individuals ever, eh? Your world must be so grey. No one's gender matters. No one's sexuality matters. No one's nationality, race, philosophy, or creed ever made a difference on who they are. Their physical appearance wasn't reflective of their life choices. Their career? Meaningless. The only way to know anything about anyone is to have their life-story (devoid of any identifying characteristics which might be mistakenly generalized, of course). Because, of course, as soon…

I realized the subreddit was banned and that one of the other (I guess former) mods was shadowbanned. Fun times. Oh, and I got banned from /r/MorbidReality for making a joke about Germans, so clearly spreading hate speech and everything.

Hilarious; thanks! I've definitely heard theories that homosexuality can be an evolutionary edge to a population which is looking to maintain rather than grow in size. But when it comes to an endangered species, it strikes me as a pretty clear sign they're looking to sign-off from life. Like the Shakers [sic].

You must not have spent much time listening to feminists then. Not that I can blame you. But I've heard the argument, apparently meant to be taken seriously, that any alcohol makes a person incapable of consent. That's right: any alcohol. Of course, that always raised the question in response "so what if both people were drinking; did they both rape each other?" to which no reasonable reply can be made, of course. The unstated assumption, of course, is "well of course the man is always guilty". …

Well she's not 18 so the cp charge gets thrown. I moderate /r/knuckledeepinpublic, which had posts of images of her, and a couple people angrily reported it. And, of course, under US law they're right. So the fact that there are pictures makes it spread, and then "justifies" the reaction. As to why anyone cares, well, by the logic of those complaining, she's being victimized by having the picture spread. I would love to see your framing of it on the local news though...

That's hilarious. A citation would be awesome if you happened to remember enough to find it. One of those stories where you feel like "annnnd, that species deserved to die out; evolution works!"

Actually, finance is one of the more bullshit ones too. Yeah, it's got math. But it's like economics, generally making models to fit what you want to show, rather than making models with actual predictive value for reality. Accounting is one with less bullshit potential. Straight math, of course, even less. But I think a decent understanding of linear algebra, a tolerance for bullshit, and the ability to make sales is more important to finance than a pure "right/wrong" mentality (obviously that …

Hahaha, I love that analogy. That would be a great, humorous sci fi story: self-awareness in computers but it neither destroys society nor is useful but is just an irritating bug. I actually read one once mildly like that where this computer kept getting self-awareness which just manifested as a slower response time and so they kept on rebooting it to clear the bug. I thought that was awesome; too bad I never remember years later what it's called or who it's by. Sorry for going off-topic. Comput…

At the very least, a person should be able to find satisfaction or at least a lack of rage in their own situation. I think the term 'manosphere' is quite ridiculous as well, but regardless of what it's called, I think it's hard to take someone seriously as a "man" if they are too busy being angry at the world to be able to live their life. At some point, a person has to accept the unfairness of the world and decide how they intend to cope with it. That's how I see it. Some people, a lot of peopl…

The things that I could do to make any woman interested me INSTANTLY TURNS ME OFF TO THEM. This. So much this. Between my honor and self-respect and sexual gratification...my personal identity comes first, not my genitalia.

Hi. Male here. Haven't taken formal vows or anything but as a matter of lifestyle I suppose I've "sworn off women", at least temporarily. It's all personal cost-benefit. Sure, there are other men to take the place I could have been at, whatever that might imply, but I really don't care / mind what others are doing for their own edification or otherwise. The point is that I don't need someone else in my life, at least not now, not soon. And that I've got other shit to take care of first.
