So no meeting women anywhere where they can't scrutinize and profile your whole life before the interaction even begins. How miserable.

To be honest I thought the movie was fantastic. And as someone that has had eerily similar experiences with an unstable woman, I almost felt like the movie was trying to shine a light on that type of thing. But, messages like that aren't palatable without the man being to blame of course. See also: Baby Reigndeer from a few years ago. We can't talk about the dangers and horrors men face in the modern dating landscape without the man having perpetuated it or wanted it in some form.

I'm happy for you. I think there's alot of struggling people in my area unfortunately.

This hasn't been my experience in the US south unfortunately. Most men don't want to talk about difficult topics, will shut you down even. I suspect it's because they have alot of unprocessed grief or fear of the person becoming overbearing and clingy. They'd rather just focus on whatever activity is in front of you or keep it light hearted. On the other hand, women dominate friendships. Assert to you how you should feel, interrogate every opinion you may have, accuse you of condescension if you…

I'm sorry but i don't have the time or patience to explain this subreddit's perspective to you. Please read the sidebar and stick around before you start asking all these questions that come off as suspiciously bad faith. I mean click the video to see the "prominent" person defending her. I'm not responding anymore.

I actually don't. They both seem awful and I'm sure the abuse was mutual as is usually the case. But I notice who the career leftists are throwing themselves in front of.

Most women would choose to be with the bear. Really Dr. K? Do you really believe that? So ironic that he feels the need to give credence to a gender-based bullying campaign while discussing female bullying.

I wish there was another term for this that wasn't sexism. I mean, understanding the differences between men and women and accepting that we have some responsibility toward each other, which includes not acting in ways that are going to trigger each other. Because it doesn't seem like a bigoted concept to me.

How the popular accusation that Yoko was the undoing of the Beatles is misattributed, and that she was an interesting artist in her own right. I enjoyed the video but did take notice that she tries to link that phenomenon to Depp/Heard.

Anything to come to the rescue of elite white women I suppose. Working people find themselves surrounded by abusive relationships rivaling Depp/Heard. Many of them were raised by it. But those issues are less interesting to online pundits.

I generally think you're a nasty person if you use "incel" as an epithet against someone else. Regardless of their behavior. It's no more than sexual shaming. These men that make up the "incel" community are confused, suffering, and genrrally without social support. Like most issues under capitalism they need civic and systemic intervention to help heal and re-integrate into society. I know a lovely young girl who used risky sexual promiscuity as a means of coping with things she had been throug…

Again I said none of this, but you know that. What is clear from these absurd, antagonistic tirades you've launched in this thread is that you're coming from a place of pain and grievance. I can't say you're unjustified. But everyone here can see this is just projection and not discussion. You've either missed the point of this space or you're not taking the steps necessary to approach your brothers and allies with a healthy mindset. If you keep this up, I'll report your comment and urge that th…

I'm gonna need you to take a breath there cowboy. It's a parallel. The liberal professional classes (which increasingly is made of white women), without a coherent systemic analysis, fall back on whatever ethnic and/or identity group seems overrepresented in positions of power to blame society's ills on. It happens time and time again. I did not imply that white people as a group have suffered historically like jews or black people, and i was not talking about "my frustrations" here. You've miss…

"cishet white man" is becoming the historical jew - the social category that otherwise well-to-do, luxury belief classes use to scapegoat society's ills on. Couldn't be the system at play.

I've wondered if meetup.com has agents out in the wild with how much that gets offered as an answer 😂

Patriarchy theory is particularly puzzling because, historically speaking, there have been patriarchal social structures during different periods. And it's totally accurate to point that out. But current-day western Feminists speak about patriarchy as if its something we're all swimming in and subjected to. When, because of the carceral state, somehow we're expected to believe that men have overall more power as a group when there's, at any given time, at least a million more of them in cages (e…

Similar thing happened to me a few years ago when I was volunteering at an anarchist mutual aid thing in my city. After about a year of just packing and dropping off food bags and keeping to myself, I was pulled aside at one of the meetings (which were kind of a joke honestly, nothing ever got accomplished and only like 2 others ever showed up) and told that I'd been giving off "misogynistic vibes". This was before I really understood feminism and some of the western left's deeper issues so I wa…

Abusive behaviors men have to cope with just to participate in the dating market. Stalking, financial entitlement, emotional coercion, triangulation (being pitted against her loved ones), verbal abuse, slander and smearing to others, etc. All of these I've seen first hand happen to myself or another man in my life.

Something no woman I've ever been with seems to grasp is how their lack of emotional regulation puts me at real physical danger. The first time my ex threatened to call the police just to get me to drop an argument I knew it was the end.

Lines up exactly with my experience. All future partners of mine will have to understand that our relationship will not be traditional, but rather one of complete equality where we both give and receive 100%
