I dated a woman last year like this, she was concerned about trying to pay equally, so if I bought a date meal last time she wanted to pay this time. I personally wasn’t concerned about it being equal, I had more disposable income (she had a daughter) so I was happy with her only paying for 1 in 4 or as and when she could afford to. To be honest it can be just as bad in the UK too. It all depends on the HR member and company policy. If the HR member is incompetent then their action is going to be wrong or if the company policy dictates action then the HR members hands are tied anyway. Getting the precursors in Europe is really difficult, we have heavier restrictions on medications available over the counter. So it’s issues with production that then hinder its sale. You occasionally hear of someone getting some but it’s not very often at all. Probably ounces sold nationwide rather than pounds or kilos, but even then I wouldn’t expect it to be available that often either, probably just as and when someone’s successfully smuggled it in.

From my own experience I’ve had more sickness issues ( general colds/ bugs etc. ) while working in an office setting. When I’ve worked outside jobs even during winter months I tend to get less sickness problems, which Ive put down to not being in close proximity/ confined spaces with other sick people and instead have more fresh air to breath. Newer cars are averaging 50 miles to the gallon. 1 gallon is approximately £6.50. Therefore anything less than a 7.5 mile round trip is in the profit really. Generally takeaway drivers wouldn’t travel too far so it probably works out a plus on average. Edit: £1 per delivery is based on my friend doing it like 8 years ago so it’s probably increased since. That was with a local independent pizza place. Chain ones like dominoes have their own fleet of cars you use.

Yeah in the UK it’s illegal to count tips towards a wage income (based on employers perspective) so all legit jobs need to pay the national minimum wage. You’ll still possibly get tips on top of that but generally in the UK people only tip for servers who go out of their way for good service
