Another Patrice O'Neal quote: "Women will give you shit to make sure you ARE the shit!"

Forget trying to please her. I used to be like that too, all wrapped up in making sure she orgasmed, etc. It's just another form of putting her on a pedestal. Fuck her because you want to fuck your wife, go caveman on her and get yours. I know it sounds counter-intuitive but this will make you more attractive to her vs. you trying to attend to her every want & need in the bedroom. Also cut the porn immediately. YourBrainOnPorn dot com helped me a lot. My rule now is if I cum, it's either in her …

Yes, his 18-yr old daughter. Again, zero disrespect intended. Just suggesting he take a step back and try to look at it from a meta level. Just because it's his daughter, it doesn't mean the same basic principles don't apply.

I think we might be getting off track here with alienation, etc. Yes, it's a real deal, but on a more basic level... No disrespect intended AT ALL to you OP, but your daughter (and I understand she's your daughter, I have one too), but at the end of the day your daughter is just another woman. Even though she's your daughter, treat her like you would any other bitch. AWALT! Where is your OI? Why are you chasing her? Why are you positioning yourself to come across as so needy to her? Treat her li…

Just reverse the genders and imagine the outcome: an ad of a woman wearing a Mother's Day shirt with a hidden "It's really his day" message. Lolz.

"Expect nothing. Be thankful for everything." is a philosophical approach that has served me amazingly well.

I agree, the objective is to communicate and be understood, and if you have a high-powered vocabulary you may have to dial it back at times. I was thinking more along the lines of the higher level of confidence that word mastery can give you. It seems counter-intuitive but a higher vocabulary definitely helps you to be more succinct.

Thanks! I understand the concept, just didn't know the abbreviation.

Figure out what your mission is, then build out from there. What do you want to be? Who do you want to be? Why? We can't figure that part out for you and there's no sidebar reading. You just have to look deep inside and think, meditate, pray, or whatever it is you do.

Developing your vocabulary is a key also. The greater mastery you have over the language, the greater your ability to say something succinctly. Get one of those a-new-word-each-day tear-off desk calendars or something if you have no idea how to get started.

I also don't understand the keys thing? Even if you don't have your own set of keys (?!?!?), if you wanted to leave, you could've just said, "Hey babe, let me see the keys" and taken the house key off so you could let yourself in, and then told her "I'll see you at home."

OP: Good start, good luck and all of that. Focus your RP study on Frame and get the book WISNIFG as soon as possible. That is required reading for aspiring emotional bomb disposal specialists. My other thought is maybe we need another sub for newbies other than AskMRP for posts like this one. Maybe TRP Diary?

This. If my wife had refused to take my name then there would've been no marriage.

Men will automatically sort themselves into a merit-based hierarchy. Example: If there's a computer issue that needs to be fixed then I'm the situational Alpha, but if I'm building with a group at a friend's house the guy who works in construction and knows tools the best is the Alpha in that case. Men are fine with this because it makes sense to them and it WORKS. Women don't care about defining hierarchy. They care about "building a CONSENSUS" so it's more important to them to not be the socia…

Actually there's new scholarship coming out that strongly suggests her husband either helped her or actually wrote it and let her take the credit for it - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2613444/Percy-Bysshe-Shelley-helped-wife-Mary-write-Frankenstein-claims-professor.html

Go to Waffle House of Denny's or a truck stop - something open 24 hours. Read your kindle over a snack.

One maxim I learned that's served me well for the last 20 years is this: "Expect nothing, be thankful for everything."

I would decline, but that's me. I'm an introvert. The issue in this case was that some of the women going on that trip were toxic, and she knew that but thought she could push into going anyway. Also your question makes no sense because I'm married, so I have no friends. LOL

There was talk among my wife and some of her friends about a GNO trip to NY City and she tried to present it to me like some kind of fait accompli. I told her no. She was shocked and goes, "what?" I said, "No fucking way." Then she says, "You can't tell me what I can and can't do," expecting me to back down. I said, "Nope, you can do whatever you want, but if you go on that trip the locks on the house will be changed when you get back," and then I just stared at her until she walked away. She di…
