Do you even know the definition of self defense? You can’t defend yourself from something that already happened. If she kept assaulting him, and he hit her to stop it, it would’ve been self defense, if they assault already stopped and you hit her as pay back, its bu definition not self defense. She started the fight, that still doesn’t make it self defence. Also, mutual combat is only really legal in two states, and has very specific rules, rules which were not met here. They are both in the wrong, hitting someone walking away is always illegal, even if the payback makes you feel good, and even if you feel it was morally justified. I think what he is implying is that “sex is a protected class” really means “being a woman is a protected class”, since even though technically you can sue for discrimination against men, it’s way more likely to be successful and if it is the reward will likely be smaller, making the risk/reward of suing worth it for females but not for men.

You made some great points on why the current sex offended list is flawed, I didn't know a lot about it and know I know many problems it has. Still a list having some problems does not mean that every list ever created will have problems. You should be able to check if your child's teacher/ babysitter is a known predatory offender, the same way you should be able to check if that tinder date you are considering going on or that friend you might want to have drinks with is a false rape accuser.

How do they not help. A public sex offender list can help you keep your children away from potential rapists, or tell you not to go get super fucked up with them 1 on 1. Do you have any source that says its illegal for teacher to have sex with legal age students? From my research I found out that its totally legal (although unethical and maybe punished by the educational institution). Its not really that straightforward. Where those calories come from can mean losing muscle (if on deficit) and gaining fat (if on surplus) or vice versa, and what type of calories you eat also determines whether the extra energy is stores as fat, or burnt off as heat. You are making the caliber difference much bigger than how it actually is. First of all a single .22 bullet can kill you if places properly (like in the head), and a single full magazine of it is still way more likely to leave you dead than alive. Plus the .44 magnum isn't the most powerful handgun in the world, thats the 500 SW, and even the .50 AE is slightly more powerful than the .44 magnum.

The thing is if you are given money to get another car it fixes the problem the criminal has caused. Giving money in this case does not fix the problem, and allowing the rapist to leave without criminal charges encourages them to continue doing it. I completely understand why the victim would prefer money to justice, but that doesn't make it the correct choice, since at the end there would only be more victims.
