That's what I was thinking about, it seems like nobody else here realizes that this might be the reason. Not all, but many women have at least 1-2 days of really bad cramps and fatigue per period. A period comes every month. That's potentially 12 days per year that it would be excruciating to go to work and be productive. Just a thought.

That's what I meant. There are more sperm, and they are (more) easily accessible. With egg harvesting, I am pretty sure you can only get one at a time, with a very invasive surgery that needs months of prep work and daily injections on the woman's part. Plus I think women have a tendency to be more protective of their eggs and less willing to part with them. That's why eggs are so expensive. Less in supply, high demand, more pricey.
