None of these apply to me. I like being a man but I'm not as gung-ho about is as the first option. I just like it.

But she's not the real problem with current Doctor Who. Jody's bad but she isn't nearly as bad as Chris Chibnal.

Well the best option is Therapy, although you'll need to be careful in your choice of therapist. If you ask around here, there's a good chance someone could point you to some safe resources. Aside from that, there's not a lot I can recommend. Post on here. Find some like-minded friends to talk to about it. Actually watching Karen Straughan's old videos are good. She works with the Honey Badger Brigade now so she's not doing as much independent work, but her older videos are gold. Here's some pla…

So there's a lot going on here. And since I'm a bit lazy, I'll just send you this link, and if you want to talk about it in more detail I'll be happy to, but this is a good primer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwdHOuHlFUM

We've basically already won, though only against the feminists. COVID-19 is the nail in the coffin for feminism. I used to lament the fact that there were so many people (particularly on youtube) who share most MRA views but didn't call themselves MRAs. Then I realized what was really going on. MRA views are going mainstream. Now it's not over by any stretch of the imagination, but if you weren't around or paying attention to the situation 10-20 years ago, things are radically different. There's…

Well, for starters your math is wrong. Mainly because 5 rapes does not equal 5 rapists. For that matter 5 rapes doesn't necessarily equal 5 rape victims. But yes, there are rapists out there who beat the system. I wonder what percentage of them were women?

I'm shocked by some of the comments here and I've been around for years. Listen, things will never be perfect, but they can get better. I don't know how old you are or what your situation is, but if you're not economically independent that's a good place to start. And yeah, people have always minimized the suffering of men compared to women. And yeah, that can be really demoralizing. But you can be the one who doesn't do that. You can be the one who shows compassion to men and speaks up for them…

Red Pill Rage is a fairly common term, so if my explanation here is not sufficient you should be able to read all you want about it from Google/Youtube/etc. Basically it amounts to the extreme anger often felt by men when they realize the extent to which society has lied to them, abuses them, and just generally hates them. And sometimes you need to say things you really don't mean to get that anger out of your system. Regarding the mods, I think they are doing a good enough job, and the communit…

I know what you're saying, but not every sexist comment is malicious. Red Pill Rage is a very real thing, and if those men don't have a place to vent then things will get worse. For that matter, we don't even ban feminists, and I think that's a very important aspect of this community. I *do* want this sub specifically and men's rights in general to go more mainstream, but we need to be careful with whatever changes we make. Keeping r/mr a free speech space is important.

Honestly I wish there was more advice we could give in this situation but /u/ChensKitchen is 1000% correct. This is a horrible situation for your boyfriend (and you) to be in and there's not a lot of places where you can reach out for support. Just make sure your boyfriend doesn't admit to anything before he gets advice from a lawyer. Anybody have the name/contact info for a MR-friendly Lawyer? If so, for god's sake PM it to this young lady.

You know it's funny. I'm working on a story right now that accidentally passes all of these tests, but I'm sure whoever wrote/posted that would hate it because it's about female-on-male domestic violence.

There are problems deeper than the ones faced because of race and gender. In many ways, feminism is merely a symptom. The deep, underlying problem that is creating the massive plethora of societal issues that we are facing is Tribalism. Trying to make the MRM intersectional would just make that worse. I know a lot of black men have the same issues white men have, only worse in a lot of cases. I don't need an intersectional mindset to be aware of that. What I need, is to recognize that those men …

I don't know. Explaining that regret isn't rape, defending the falsely accused and denying the systemic oppression of women in the west (because it isn't real) seems to fit our original mission statement pretty well actually.

Too many people associate "submissive" with "weak" when actually submission requires enormous strength. Add to that, the general demonization of men and male sexuality and the people who don't look down on you will probably be afraid on your behalf. It's probably especially pronounced in women because most women have a natural femininity and have been trained by society to fear it. I can only imagine the horror they live in having been taught that the thing most natural to them will lead them in…

I agree with legalizing prostitution, but I think you're mistaken on your justifications. I've looked into it, particularly into the dating life in Germany where prostitution is legal. What I found is that the vast majority of customers for those services there are sex tourist a.k.a. foreigners. The culture of Germany has not changed in regard to how they view prostitutes and so the legalization hasn't changed much for men, at least back when I was looking into it.

Actually we do talk about this, just not in those terms. It goes to the nature of male and female sexuality. According to western society, if you're a woman and you're exposed to male sexuality, it makes you dirty. To be clear, a woman who is not considered "dirty" (like, say, a virgin) becomes so after exposure to male sexuality. Now I ask you, how does a clean thing become dirty? By exposure to something already considered "dirty". So society considers male sexuality dirty by default and slut-…

Well, then I think we can agree even if we come at it from different perspectives. Men are more naturally suited to combat roles just from sheer biology. And women are just as capable of being unethical as men, which is how you get a lot of "whoops" pregnancies before a woman is supposed to ship out - because if men had that option, a lot of them would take it. (That said, there's more to the military than combat roles, but that's a more complicated discussion.) The main form of egalitarianism y…

As a brief aside, this sub tends towards free speech rather than having authoritarian mods. Pay close attention to the upvotes though. Not everything that gets posted is indicative of popular opinion. That said, while we do tend towards egalitarianism here, we're also quick to call feminists out on the fallacious idea that equality can only be through congruence. So as far as military service goes, as a practical matter, having something like a female draft doesn't make a lot of sense. At least …

Was this your first introduction to the Men's Rights Movement? I'm not sure how to respond to a question about my thoughts on it though. I've been an MRA for a long time and The Red Pill while cathartic and vindicating was largely just an introduction to the topic, so it was all stuff I was familiar with. I wish I knew what to tell you. I'm in much the same situation though to a lesser degree on all fronts. I'm in my mid 30s and I feel like I might be heading in your direction. First of all I'm in atheist and a supporter of Sam Harris I am too, on both counts, but Sam seems to forget that we also evolved to lie. Just saying that a man gives her the creeps gives a woman a fair amount of political leverage over him. Or social credit with which to manipulate others.

This is a free speech zone. Yes there are people who feel that way, but they do not represent the majority view here, or even a significant minority. Trans people are very welcome here. We don't necessarily give them a lot of attention, but that's a form of acceptance all its own.

Not really. I mean, I know it looks that way, but all of their disgusting beliefs flow from a single unifying principle: that men are not human beings and are, in fact, their property. Take that as a hypothetical given, and suddenly they don't seem so crazy anymore. It's not insanity or even inconsistency. It's hatred.

I had multiple red pills which changed my viewpoint only slowly. I remember a car commercial I saw when I was young where a woman about to go on a blind date complained to her friend that she never got set up with sensitive, intelligent men who liked classical music, etc only to show the man on his way to the date being the opposite of everything she said she wanted only for her jaw to hit the ground when he showed up (he was very attractive). I know I'm late to the party, but first I'd like to echo the sentiment that you watch The Red Pill by Cassie Jaye. Second, I'd say the primary thing you need to know about Men's Rights is that most men (like your father) are not going to stand up for their rights, especially to their significant others. I don't know about your situations or your husband-to-be but chances are very good that you will have to do this for him, even in a conflict with you. That's not particularly fair, I know. Marria…

It's really up to you how you deal with this. I don't recommend going the feminist direction of wallowing in your victimhood, as that's not really going to accomplish much and it certainly won't make you feel any better. But a rational re-evaluation of your level of vulnerability and a sober attitude about that is certainly called for. I'd recommend you accept the fact that you live in a world where some people are gross and don't respect boundaries and then resolve yourself to how you will deal…

I'm surprised no-one has pointed this out thus far but, women are not the only ones who are brainwashed. It's probably harder to see in the men around you because you don't know their lived experiences as well and probably (understandably) take their word for it when they talk about it, but I guarantee you that just as many men as women are brainwashed. People just don't like confronting their beliefs.

It wouldn't have to be upfront. It could be amortized over 5 years. The state would pay the mother upfront and the man would pay back the state. These things aren't hard if you stop to think, even for one second, how they might be solved. But if you actively don't want them solved, then you'll never see the answer.

If you think $5000 is bad, then look at what some men are required to pay in terms of child support. Even when they can't afford to. There's plenty of ways of dealing with the specifics but you already said you're against the idea so why should I bother throwing around ideas? I'll just say that it would be trivial to open it up to men who don't happen to have $5k lying around. And if someone comes along who isn't against the idea at the outset, I'll discuss the specifics with them.

From a standpoint of principle I can't tell you right at this moment if I believe that a man who financially aborts should be on the hook for half of the abortion, missed work, etc. Fortunately I don't need to appeal to principle in order to answer. If we took every compromise you suggested and doubled them (the man has to pay for all of the procedure/missed work, etc) it would still be orders of magnitude less money than 18 years of child support. They did the same thing with homosexuals. Polyamory/polyfidelity has nothing to do with feminist/SJW talking points, but they desperately want it to. Stick around here and you'll read reports of men victimized by women every day. The fact that you haven't seen them is a case of selective reporting, further aggravated by the fact that men are far less likely to report sexual assault at all, much more so when the perpetrator is a woman. No, this is pretty standard for how cults die. They become ever more exaggerated caricatures of themselves as the more reasonable people leave first and only the craziest are left behind. Expect more things like MeToo but more intense and shorter duration until the whole thing goes belly up. In fact I'd say the MRM is way ahead of schedule.

You're close, but it's not just about looks. Men define ourselves by our utility to women. Men can't generate a positive identity for ourselves unless we're told by a woman that we're useful. But men are just as interested in relationships as women - sometimes more so, so I doubt the dating scene will disappear. But if you think this will have no big effects on the dating scene, you're in for a big surprise. Women are going to have to learn to pursue men. And much more importantly, women are goi…

What will happen if the MRM becomes a going concern with large amounts of funding? Will it actually address problems? Or will the people who suddenly have cushy jobs understand that to solve those problems would put them out of work? I actually worry about this a lot. I don't think a failure of the MRM will look quite like feminism does today, but the differences would be immaterial. And I am definitely against a return to traditionalism. I think the vast majority of MRAs are as well. But the hi…

Why give the dictionary that kind of authority? The people who write the dictionary aren't experts in the objective truth of word-meanings. They are basically an even-more-boring version of Gallup. And as OP pointed out, he and many others like him (including myself in the past) believed in a definition that was, quite literally, propaganda. Is it any wonder that the dictionary-writers would get this wrong? It's not as if they are investigative journalists. Although we do support a lot of femini…

Thank you for sharing this story. I know it was probably hard, even on a throwaway. I wish society treated female-on-male rape seriously, but I assure you we take it seriously here. (trolls are everywhere though) I hope that you'll seek counseling. What happened to you was a violation and not one that you invited. You did not deserve to be treated that way. Where you go from here is in your power to decide though.

You will be, but it's a much more tenable plan than a lawsuit (which I know wasn't your idea) or even trying to get a school-wide address. I'm not even saying you should try to start an after-school group, just that if you are interested in doing something beyond discussing the issues with your friends and family, that's as far as I would suggest going. Edit: I'm just shocked at how often I'm seeing people suggest filing a lawsuit to minors. It's fucking crazy.

Jesus Christ. You're the third minor I've run across in the last few days that people have suggested should file a lawsuit. I don't know what the hell is going on around here, but that is bad advice. Frankly, I don't know if a school-wide address is the way to go either. If you are interested, maybe consider setting up a Men's Issues group at your school. Feminists do what all religious fundamentalists do. They take a verified scientific statement like, "Girls physically mature faster than boys" (regarding puberty) and twist it to be, "women are better than men" one slight distortion at a time. Because then, when confronted about this, they point to a scientific article about puberty and say, "ha! I'm right!" Don't get caught by these tricks. The way to do this is to know the facts. So in this case, you'd say, "Well yes, of course, but that only …

My sister-in-law is a feminist, and I sent her a copy of Cassie Jay's the Red Pill as a birthday present. She said she agrees with most of the stuff in it but still considers herself a Feminist. So...my ideal is actually a little different. Where financial abortion can be thought of as "opt out" I think the law should be "opt in". As in, the father doesn't have to sign something to get out of being a father, he has to sign something to assume the obligations (and rights). I say this as a father myself. In my circumstance, in particular, like you, I am pro-choice in theory, but I would never encourage a woman to have an abortion (just as, I think heroin should be legal, but I wouldn't re…

A good first guess with these people is always, "Projection" and I think it's very likely in this case in particular. Some people have an enormous amount of pent up rage towards women that they've repressed and sublimated into female supremacism. At least in terms of the men in that camp. Women could be in that camp for a number of reasons. Some might be repressed masochists who are ashamed of a sexuality they are only barely aware of, but I don't know how common that is (and I don't know if any…

Not only do women post in this sub, but women make up at least half of prominent MRAs. And in my opinion, the most prominent male MRA (Paul Elam, again just my opinion) doesn't have nearly as strong a voice as the female MRAs. To whatever extent a movement like this one can be considered to have "leadership" it is a female-led movement. But then again, I don't know anything about what goes on behind the scenes or how the ICMI is organized, funded, and put together. I'm sure there's a lot of face…

The great irony here is that Science is best seen as submission to truth and therefore Nature. Technology does not come from dominating nature, but from understanding it. It's true that we do try to change the world to better suit our values, but Nature has no values. It may very well be the case that viewing yourself as a victim is inherently damaging, regardless of how much a person has or has not been harmed. This is one of the worst aspects of feminism, in that it actively damages women by getting them to believe they are victims at all times and in all ways. But how do I feel about it? So first I would say that being aware of the truth is a prerequisite to making any kind of intentional change. That doesn't mean our maladaptive instincts change over night. Instead we use culture to moderate our instincts. That's the real goal of the men's movement. Don't get me wrong, there's some really unjust laws on the books, but law follows culture (see also: cannabis). But if we can create a culture where it's unacceptable to treat a man as inherently less valuable than a woman both at t…

It's hard to know where to begin, with a question like this, though I can tell it's an honest one. First, I'd like to ask you to try to overlook some of the saltier comments here. There's a lot of anger that's built up over the years and some of the posters here have very good reasons not to trust someone calling herself a feminist. So there's basically two ways to look at it. Are the number of people who call themselves MRAs increasing? And are the issues that MRAs lobby for getting attention? Both seem to be yes. In fact, I'd say that the fact that those two subreddits you linked to even exist is an example of the MRM gaining traction. The first thing that needs to happen to do this (that MRAs have been doing for years) is to expose female supremacist ideas for the bigotry that they are. That means more exposure so that m…

It's not that odd to talk about here, though it is somewhat tertiary. Most handwringing about prostitution in the West is just another example of the infantilization of women and the demonization of men (and in particular, male sexuality). But he doesn't hurt much and he's helped a lot so for the time being I consider him an ally. 30 years from now, he or someone just like him might be opponent, but for now he's absolutely a net gain in my opinion. Of course if you have some information I don't know, I'll happily listen to it.

No one is going to harass you at the Red Pill movie. Also it's just my opinion but I actually don't think most people living the MGTOW lifestyle have even heard of MGTOW. Many of my friends have rejected the concept of marriage and aren't interested in furthering their careers beyond what they need to support themselves, but they don't consider themselves MGTOW (even though they basically are). There's a degree of selection bias going on here, but that isn't really you're fault.

This is a hard one that a lot of the younger people around here aren't going to fully understand, so I just wanted to pop in and say that I get it. Relationships can heal, but they can't survive everything no matter how mature the people involved are. From other comments it sounds like techniques like in vitro and surrogates were never in the cards for you two financially, and things like wanting more/fewer children are primal motivators. And while it may be off topic for this thread, speaking i…

If you're a woman, just disagree. Don't try use facts or statistics directly. Just say, "I'm not afraid" and when they ask why tell them, "I don't see men that way" You'll baffle them, but what you need to do is challenge the normality of the thought directly. Maybe compare it other forms of bigotry later in the conversation, but knowing at least one woman who isn't afraid of men will probably be the best you can do.

Wow...the things you miss when you stay off reddit for a couple days... I agree with this, though I wish her sale pitch had been a little better. The truth is that decriminalizing sex work would do a lot to balance the scales between men and women in the social sphere. That sort of grassroots change could would have knock-on effects that would influence society in substantial ways. For instance, by legitimizing sex work you simultaneously legitimize male sexuality. I can only imagine the benefit…

I would add to the others that there's a difference between what's practical and what's ideal. In terms of what's practical, I think gay marriage is good in the short term for gay rights, but in the long term my ideal would be to see a Separation of Marriage and State. Which, when you think about it, if we'd had that to begin with, we'd have had gay marriage much sooner than we did since there were people willing to marry gays long before the supreme court got around to doing something about it.…

I'd like to point out that, despite the tone, people here are actually engaging with you. This does not happen when MRAs go into feminist spaces saying the equivalent of what you said. If you want communication and mutual respect, you need to start by getting other feminists to tolerate our existence. We are willing to talk. We always have been. This has been bothering me too. And while a lot of people have rightly said we should wait for the facts to come in, I think we can at least speak in hypotheticals for a bit here. The main confusion for me was that I've learned from the MRM that men, in general, are not bad and have no inclination to rape. In fact, the overwhelming majority of men are more interested than consent than in bodily access (were it not so, sex toys would be way more popular). So when the Cologne story broke I was pre…

Well it was precisely my point that RealDolls aren't socially acceptable. That's why there's no broad adoptions. As for people entering into relationships with machines, well - like I said, people develop close emotional bonds with their cars. Ultimately human sexuality is more complicated than other needs. The sex aspect of the male need for sex is more of a manifestation of the need for sexual acceptance than it is a need in and of itself. The real problem is that society and evolution have programmed most men to base their entire self-concept on the approval of women. This is in fact, why you see feminists who disapprove of prostitution and any sense in which sex becomes a transaction, because no price is high enough. The real cost…

Definitely not, although there are plenty of people who genuinely believe it does. Feminism as a cultural force starts off by blinding people to men's issues. This let's the true ideologues preach supremacy while using the language of equality. What does the Men's Rights Movement think of transgender men That they don't seem to know how to use the search box on reddit? Kidding of course, but here's an article that you might find interesting: http://www.avoiceformen.com/misandry/chivalry/from-woman-to-man-to-red-pill/ Frankly I think we, as a community, make betters trans-allies than feminist by an enormous margin. We may be enemies of political correctness (I just relatively recently learned that "Transgendered" has been recategorized …

I disagree that it's subjective, but some of it operates on a case-by-case basis. For instance I think that unrealistic body image issues are pretty far down on the list of our problems. I think we suffer more from internalized misandry which causes us to deprioritize our lives and livelihoods - often for the sake of people who don't deserve it. This is why we generally don't fight unfair laws, why we don't listen to other men who complain about the mistreatment they suffer at the hands of bigot…

Hmm...well if you like to be understood then we need to keep talking because I'm not sure I follow. Can you help me understand the distinction between critiquing feminism and attacking it? Also, I still don't see the distinction between anti-feminism and pro-equality. Part of the reason I have issues with the video is because if swapped out a few words you'd end up with something like, "I'm NOT pro-black people. I'm ONLY anti-KKK" which to me seems like an obviously inferior position. The only r…

I'm perplexed. They seem to be making the argument (and one I would agree with) that making a distinction between being anti-feminist and helping men is nonsensical. But his attack on the concept of "equality" seems to be a knee-jerk reaction to the constant SJW abuse of the term. Especially when he goes on to state a goal that is very nearly exactly what my definition of equality is. To be specific, equality is when value-judgments are arrived at honestly. (Specifically to the case of men and w…

Sometimes I read through a whole thread to see if there's anything left I should say but I'm just going to jump in here without reading anyone else's comments because the answer is easy: the MRM is opposed to culturally enforced gender norms which when you think about it would INCLUDE enforced genderlessness. straight guy here, but is that really true? I've heard from other gay men on here that women tend to use them as well, the approach is just different. I was given the impression that a lot of women feel entitled to the whole "gay best friend" thing and use them as emotional dumping grounds. You may not have to deal with them romantically (and for that I envy you) but I don't see how that makes you MGTOW by default.

I suppose there's also the effect of gendered language. Feminists talk about terms like "policeman" and "fireman" that teach little girls they can't succeed in those areas. MRAs on the other hand talk about how terms like "Feminism" and "Patriarchy" paint the the female as the heroic underdog fighting against the all-powerful demonized male villain. Taking pictures of women at work? That could be very dangerous. He could get accused of posting "creepshots" or worse. On the other hand if he tricked a woman into allowing the picture, that would be truly epic. (She could still pitch a fit, but if she's obviously aware of the camera it'll help)

I'm curious if this has, perhaps, answered any of your questions. There are a precious few things that the MRM and Feminism agree on. Things like, "Women get sexualized in the media/video-games/etc" and they all pretty much have to be that obvious. What Feminism does, unfortunately, is completely recontextualize that one tiny fact into a parallel universe, where men are somehow never objectified and where sexualization is always destructive. They do this with all of the tiny bits of fact that th…

I agree that traditional gender roles were bad for both genders. By extension Feminism hurts both genders as well (since it's traditional gender rolls put to the extreme). However what I disagree with, and you've failed to address, is that women are better represented in government. And outside of highly specific sociological uses, "Patriarchy" is bullshit.
/r/MensRights03/06/13 10:08 PM

Apexuality. Men in power do not necessarily represent the interests of men. In fact if you look at them based on their actions apexuals typically represent the interests of women. As far getting gender roles from patriarchal societies, those societies were gynocentric and misandric in the extreme. They gave power to men, but didn't assign any value to them outside of our ability to benefit women.

I didn't feel the need to get more specific because it's not what I'm advocating for. So let's get rid of selective service.

I don't think sexual dimorphism is the issue here. You could have an equivalent social obligation to the draft - perhaps something more suited to women's abilities than men's. But we don't. In fact this was the entire reason that some women opposed female suffrage. While I seriously doubt they believed they'd become subject to the draft specifically, they thought they'd inherit something equivalent. They never have.

Society hasn't trained most men (or women) how to understand transsexuals. Confusion can lead to frustration and even anger. Most men who understand the transsexual condition (as much as it can be understood from the outside) don't have a problem with it. This is just another way that traditionalists fail men. They fail transmen by defining them as "not really men - maybe not even human" and they fail cis men by turning us against our brothers. From a man's perspective, the only difference betwe…

The question isn't "Why are they targeting het-men?" The question is, "Why aren't they targeting gay men?" And the answer, of course, is that they cannot afford to do so politically. There are some problems here, but I'm still assuming you're operating under a banner of goodwill so I'm going to avoid being confrontational. Rapists, even in prison, have a decent amount of gender parity. They aren't "usually men". What tends to happen is that unwanted sexual contact forced by a woman onto a man is redefined as something other than rape. Also, the problem with discussing the "responsibility of the rapist not to rape" is that, for one, it's usually "the responsibility of the man…

Here we go: 1) How do you define feminism? Feminism is a perpetual social revolution that - at this point in time - exists largely to perpetual itself. It does this by continuing to find more and more ways in which women are "oppressed" to prove we still "need" it. 2) What about rape culture Correct me if I'm wrong, but the concept of "rape culture" is one in which rape is somehow normalized or expected, correct? If that's the case then rape culture is DEFINITELY a problem, with the caveat that …

I agree that you have a point. For that matter, I once considered myself a feminist. My purpose with what I wrote here is not that I believe that average people who consider themselves feminists should be ambushed, and I admit that I may not have made that clear. What I wrote is largely directed at non-bigoted feminists who post in /r/MensRights. I haven't been here all that long, but the feminists who post here really seem to not be ignorant about men's issues. These people don't have an excuse…

As I said, I've only been visiting AVfM for about three month and don't recall anything bigoted so far. If Paul Elam himself has made bigoted remarks, believe me when I say I very much want to know about it. As an aside, I am completely baffled why your original post has been so aggressively downvoted. While I disagree with your statement on intellectual grounds, I find the actual structure of your argument to be reasonable and in good faith, so I upvoted you on general principle. This is especi…

In what way is manhood academy part of the MRM? If they are indeed misogynist then why do we need to consider them MRAs? As far as I'm concerned if you advocate violence or consider any group to be inferior you are not an MRA regardless of your opinions on anything else. And what's the deal with Paul Elam?
/r/MensRights15/07/12 01:31 PM

Very slightly off topic. Could you tell me about manhood academy? And you said Paul Elam is a bigot but his website is not? I'm confused (and would like to be educated. Thanks in advance)

It may be a it on the hopeful side, but I do believe there are good reasons to believe the male pill will be more effective than the female pill. Family Court is a big reason, as is the fact that most men don't have instincts that make them desperate for a baby. I strongly believe men will be more reliable when it comes to taking the pill than women have. As for a rise in STDs, this is entirely possible.

I don't expect bigot-enablers to want advice on what to call themselves. I find it interesting though that you find "hysterical rhetoric" more acceptable from people who are more able to influence legislation and have more legitimacy in university settings. So you're basically saying that once the MRA has more power, then you'll be okay with this "crazy talk"? I also find it interesting that you want me to be embarrassed. Feminists have used shaming tactics for a long time now, so it's awfully h…

this may sound hyperbolic, but I honestly believe the male pill will revolutionize society. Because of the financial pressures of child-support, men will quickly overcome any fears about side effects (as a group, obviously some will hold out for a while). Then unplanned pregnancy will absolutely plummet. Total child-support dollars extracted from men will decrease precipitously (though not as much). Father's will be more likely to have access to their children (though there will still be MUCH to…

Hadn't heard of "Good German" syndrome till now. Had to Google it. Actually I'm a lot more sympathetic to the Germans of that era than today's feminists. Back then a German who didn't support the Nazi actually faced danger. All a non-bigoted feminist has to do? Stop applying that word to themselves. Stop defending feminism when it's attacked. If someone attacks equality-of-opportunity or is actually misogynist? Tear their fucking heads off (and hey, while your at it, tear the heads off misandris…

I'm haven't been going to AVfM all that long, so I won't defend it even though I've yet to see anything bigoted there (and the presence of GWW and TyphonBlue make me EXTREMELY skeptical about this claim) but here's the thing: I don't believe believe you can do anything about the current feminist leadership. Here's a hypothetical situation for you: tomorrow you wake up and all the people you believe to be misogynists in the MRM vanish without a trace. Now, what can you possibly do to fix feminism…

legal guilt is the status of having committed a wrong. Emotional guilt is regret over one's actions. See the wikipedia link below.

relevant section: "While guilt is a painful feeling of regret and responsibility for one's actions, shame is a painful feeling about oneself as a person." Following this line of reasoning, Psychiatrist Judith Lewis Herman concludes that "Shame is an acutely self-conscious state in which the self is 'split,' imagining the self in the eyes of the other; by contrast, in guilt the self is unified. Edit: furthermore, this is WHY feminist shaming tactics are immoral 2nd edit: didn't actually read your…

There is a difference between guilt and shame. Guilt is an emotion which says, "I made a mistake" Shame is an emotion which says, "I am a mistake" She should definitely feel guilty, but learn from it and move on. She should not feel ashamed.

There will always be bitter people who let their experiences bias them against others. Some of them are men and some of them are women. Now when you run into bitter, hateful men who think women are the problem you can actually empathize with them. It may not accomplish anything in the short term (because they probably won't believe you're being genuine) but lack of empathy for men is the ultimate issue we men face. On a personal level - me to you - I don't want you to feel ashamed. I do think it…

Well that's just my lack of knowledge about homosexual relationship then and I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not entirely certain how feminists have managed to get the LGBT community buying their snake-oil, especially with all the transphobia. Personally I think the struggle of the LGBT community is far more legitimate than the so-called feminist "struggle". Women were handed suffrage on a silver platter the moment more of them wanted it than didn't. Gay marriage? Not so much... (Personally I'm not …

Since your looking for other men, I think you can safely select B is that's really how you feel. If I, as a heterosexual, were going on OKCupid, I'd probably select A, just for my own personal safety. For myself (with regards to someone approaching me for sex), "No" means "No" but is doesn't necessarily mean, "Stop asking". So yeah a "No" can become a "Yes" but I wouldn't lay a finger on someone until it verbally did so. (And "stop asking" really does mean "stop asking") And sadly, your example …

Some of the advice on this thread is good. (The practical stuff. Use your judgement). To be a little more generic: be proactive. If you spend some more time in the manosphere you'll find all KINDS of nasty tools she has at her disposal. I guarantee you, she's only getting started. So STAY AHEAD OF HER. Find out everything she can do and have a plan to counter it before she does it. Your female so that helps in this situation. People (especially the courts) are going to be a lot more likely to be…

SCIENTOLOGY IS A CULT. It's beliefs may be no more crazy than an religion, but that isn't what makes it a cult. It's a cult because of the way it brainwashes people and cuts them off from their families. And it's not that religions don't do this, but it's a matter of scale. Would you rather your child sit in on a church sermon once a week and maybe give 10% of their income to a group of what is likely local people trying to do things for misguided reasons or disappear forever into a corporate sy…

You clearly don't understand how bad scientology is. Tom can't think on the level your describing anymore. He would have to be told to do this, though if someone like David Miscavige told him to do it, he would and without hesitation. Edit: and if I somehow got dragged into Scientology, my only hope would be that my wife would take my daughter and run away.
