I haven't seen my best friend in a year. We talk about every month but I'm one of the types of people where I disappear for a while, reappear and reconnecting is like nothing has changed. I'm an absent friend unfortunately. But my relationships are strong enough that I can do that. It's a bit different though cause we are late 20s as well but he has a wife and 4 kids and I'm single

Seriously this guy is smart. After my divorce at 24 I basically moved back in with my aunt and uncle. I come from a boating family. Grew up on lakes, and use my uncles boats. Hint: cheaper to use friends or family's than it is to own your own. I do own a jetski though. Find someone who has one and have them take you out and show you the ropes. I didn't grow up poor per se, but I hung out with the rougher part of my hillbilly family tree. Apprenticed as a mechanic under my uncle while I was in highschool, he taught me everything I know. I cannot tell you how valuable that experience was for me. I look at all my other cousins and hope they have the opportunity to learn from him one day. So far, I've been broke down more times than I can count and have been able to skate my way out of every single one.

Hell, I pushed a guy's disabled car out of the road a few nights ago. It was around 10 pm. and his car broke down right in the middle of the road. It is a moderately trafficked road, and no one stopped to help the poor guy out. I even diagnosed the issue and told him what he needed to do. But that's just how I roll I suppose. If I'm not busy and I see someone who may need some help I'll see if I can offer assistance. Its good karma if you believe in that.

I kind of disappear. I got rid of my facebook and virtually all social media except for Instagram. That way I can control the narrative more or less. I'm doing the same thing. Graduated last year. Took a job with where I was working throughout school because they wanted to keep me and it was convenient. Now I hate it, and want to get into my field and more or less wandering aimlessly. I'm not sure what I'm doing but I'm trying to find my career. Wish I had some advice, but you are not alone.
