Donald Trump Says Central Park Five Are Guilty, Despite DNA Evidencehttp://www.falseconfessions.org/fact-a-figures Among a total of 340 exonerations of all kinds documented between 1989 and 2003, 15 percent involved false confessions... More than two-thirds of the DNA-cleared homicide cases documented by the Innocence Project were caused by false confessions | /r/MensRights | 08/10/16 03:24 AM
Donald Trump Says Central Park Five Are Guilty, Despite DNA EvidenceNo it doesn't. Reyes confessed to acting alone, which raises the possibility the Central Park Five were coerced into confessing to something they had nothing to do with. Cops needed to pin it on someone since it was a high profile case so there's a good chance they decided to have five minority teens take the fall | /r/MensRights | 08/10/16 12:06 AM
Donald Trump Says Central Park Five Are Guilty, Despite DNA EvidenceBanks didn't give a confession that was admissible at trial. He accepted a plea bargain because he didn't want to roll the dice in court and face 41 years in prison. | /r/MensRights | 08/10/16 12:03 AM
Trump: Women 'get it better' than menI am no trump fan but he's right fan. I'm not a fan of bernie either, but the amount of shit he got for calling out hillary was insane. He was called sexist for saying she wasn't qualified and to watch her tone. Trump got called sexist for calling a woman crazy. If women like hillary want to prove they're equally capable, then they should take criticism without hiding behind accusations of sexism. | /r/MensRights | 09/05/16 12:39 AM
Mizzou professor who pushed reporter away from protesters is firedI guess it could be. I think it was really more that they were giving her a free pass for being an obnoxious sjw rather than a woman. It would be nice to see some sort of followup analysis on her gender playing a role though to tie it in better. Cases of women given a free pass for raping a minor seem more relevant, but I guess I'm still glad it's getting coverage anyways, even if I don't agree this is the ideal sub. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/16 03:31 PM
Mizzou professor who pushed reporter away from protesters is firedI linked this in r/conservative myself but not sure how it fits here | /r/MensRights | 26/02/16 01:56 AM
Arrest Warrant Issued for Bill CosbyI'm from the U.S. and aware of the case. There are exceptions in most states that allow testimony from other cases if there are strong details linking them. Maybe not all the accusations would be admissible but perhaps the ones where women claim he used qualudes. | /r/MensRights | 30/12/15 08:09 PM
Arrest Warrant Issued for Bill CosbyIt's just come out recently. Women have been making accusations against him since at least 2004. | /r/MensRights | 30/12/15 08:08 PM
Arrest Warrant Issued for Bill CosbyYeah, I want the same. My issue wasn't with your comment. It was with the people saying that he shouldn't even be tried and saying that there is no evidence against him other than an accusation. I think the media has mostly just focused on reporting the events that came out. Of course, they will cover stories about his depositions and the new accusations against him when they surface. | /r/MensRights | 30/12/15 04:33 PM
Arrest Warrant Issued for Bill CosbyYeah, I am not convinced he's guilty yet and want him to get a fair trial too. however, I don't think this the guy that we want to be making a symbol of the men's rights movement. There are feminists that argue we are rape supporters to discredit us. dismissing all evidence in cases like this doesn't help us when we are trying to stand up for men that were accused with none, like Paul Nungesser, the Psi Phi Brothers at UVA and that guy that is still in jail despite FB messages suggesting his inn… | /r/MensRights | 30/12/15 04:08 PM
Arrest Warrant Issued for Bill CosbyI am not saying that he's guilty and will try to withhold my views until I see more evidence. However, this isn't a typical he said she said case. The woman claims that she is gay and was in a relationship with a woman at the time. I don't know if that's true, but if she can show she's been a lesbian that's never shown any interest in men then that definitely hurts his case. Also, more than 50 women have accused the guy of rape. It is a bit flippant to say that he is being charged "solely on an … | /r/MensRights | 30/12/15 03:56 PM
Man in prison for rape convictions cleared by DNA testing after 16 yearsThe DA said that they didn't have the technology to do that kind of DNA analysis in the late 90s. I wish people on this sub could look at the positives from these stories - in this case DNA is exonerating innocent men and helping society recognize the risk of relying solely on circumstantial evidence. It's terrible what happened to this guy but we should be grateful for advances in technology that cleared him and are saving other innocent men rather than just being bitter about decades old cases… | /r/MensRights | 30/11/15 01:56 AM
Man in prison for rape convictions cleared by DNA testing after 16 yearsIt's almost unheard of for a case today with DNA evidence to have it not be introduced at trial. The prosecution would want to have DNA to make the case ironclad and would not prosecute an innocent man with exculpatory evidence without being disbarred (duke lacrosse). It seems the biggest danger men face is in the court of public opinion where there is no form of due process at all. Only 7% of reported rapes lead to a conviction due to a lack of evidence but innocent men can still have their liv… | /r/MensRights | 29/11/15 11:51 PM
Man in prison for rape convictions cleared by DNA testing after 16 yearsThat's not what he's saying. There was a lotbof circumstantial evidence. This apparently wasn't a case of a woman lying to ruin a mans life. The LA Times says that the technology used to do the DNA testing that exonerated him wasn't around in the late 90s. It sounds like they did their best and unfortunately it led to the conviction of an innocent man because that's where the evidence pointed I think we should look at the silver lining here: advances in DNA evidence are helping people realize th… | /r/MensRights | 29/11/15 11:04 PM
For Students Accused Of Campus Rape, Legal Victories Win Back RightsYeah, if we included the women that don't report or expand the definition of rape to hurt feelings then 500% of women are actually sexually assaulted. Why isn't this being addressed? /s | /r/MensRights | 20/10/15 06:30 PM
Male feminist thinks women should be distrustful of him because he's a man. More proof feminism teaches men to be ashamed of their genderAh yes. Men not wanting to be oppressed = hating women. Oh and opposing feminism is the same as opposing women! Didn't know the two were the same. The new order welcomes you! By the way, I've seen feminists tell other women they deserve to be raped. If you really cared about women's rights then you'd disagree with them, but you assume feminism actually cares about real people over the narrative, so you don't | /r/MensRights | 11/08/15 10:37 AM
Male feminist thinks women should be distrustful of him because he's a man. More proof feminism teaches men to be ashamed of their genderTo be honest, I've seen some female mras get mistreated on a fb group a bit but usually just some hostility when they brought up women's issues. Nothing overly sexist though. Male mras don't generally tell women in the group to know their place or not woman's plain like male feminists are told to do | /r/MensRights | 11/08/15 12:35 AM
Male feminist thinks women should be distrustful of him because he's a man. More proof feminism teaches men to be ashamed of their genderHis later post makes it sound like he's an oppressor simply because he was born a man, even though he's trying to defend women. I genuinely feel very sorry for this guy. It must be very painful to hate oneself so much | /r/MensRights | 11/08/15 12:29 AM
