Men are the same way. Say sorry then do the same thing immediately after. This is a human thing not a gender thing.

He should go through comments and opinions and make his own decisions on what might work best for him. Thanks for mansplaining how he should form an opinion.

One rejected date proposal is within the scope I was talking about. Again anything less than two attempts is not adequate.

I disagree, them not trying to meet up reads as “they don’t try to make date plans” not “ they reject date plans I offer. If he isn’t making at least two attempts it’s not enough effort. I’m not saying chase til the end of the earth I’m saying pursue enough to help her feel reassured that your definitely interested.

Being left on read once and then giving up will not get you anywhere. That’s a guy I would not keep talking to.

Exactly. So why would I choose to be less selective for no reason? I’m not entertaining a man that can’t chase me because down the line if things become serious I’m risking a lot more than he will ever have to. That’s what I sacrifice and being to the table and I want to see some effort on their end to offset that discrepancy.

You should investigate more into the difference in selectiveness of women and men. Women have to be more selective because we are risking so much more. I agree that both partners should strive to give 60% which I know I’m fully capable of. That’s why I weed out men that don’t show me they are capable. Literally the original post is showing that men sometimes make the same decision, they don’t chase because the other person isn’t. It’s unfortunate sometimes but works so well for me there’s no way…

I mean. It’s worked pretty well for me. There’s no shortage so weeding out men that won’t pursue is no loss of quality.

This is the most common reason I lose attraction in a guy. I want to see effort , if they aren’t willing to chase early during the honeymoon phase I assume they aren’t into me and later they will be even more unwilling to put in effort to overcome relationship obstacles. So far when I’ve wondered if I was being to harsh and made exceptions it ended up being true that later they just didn’t care. It’s an early red flag I used to weed out “go nowhere” men.

You can tell the difference because he expressed sexual interest.

You should always offer them the option to decide for themselves even if that means they don’t want to. That’s okay, your just giving them more choices than they had before .

It took so long honestly. I wish I could just say I knew it right away but I didn’t, it took years for me to know what I wanted.

Proposition it. It’s very simple : the best success I have had with males is just the ones that say what they want in a non threatening way. For example : I want to get to know you better , may I offer you my number . You don’t have to text if you don’t want, I just wanted to offer the option and let you decide for yourself. That always works the best.

I see what your saying but still stand by my stance. I think he made it very clear that he finds her attractive. Not wanting sex isn’t rejecting her it’s just a release of pressure. Of course this is just how my brain would perceive this situation if I were in it. Knowing 1) he is attracted to me without and 2) he has no expectations and is okay with just being with me would open the flood gates.

You took on the social risk of letting her know she is wanted and you are very attracted to her and made moves. Then you reassured her that she doesn’t have to do anything she doesn’t want to do. Both of those actions created an explicitly transparent environment that let her relax and feel comfortable. From a woman’s perspective : of course this worked ? Seems obvious to me why it went so smoothly.

As a woman who’s been in this situation, please step in. Sometimes at that point we’re afraid if we turn down drinks or try to leave we will be hurt. It is not okay. The other commenter that said he is going to get you in trouble was right as well, you don’t want to have to go to court because of this guy.

Any guy with a martial arts related background is always a plus. Better odds of being a better protector.

I just read a post the other day and someone was explaining that ever since they change their perspective about texting they’ve seen better feedback. They explained that now they use gifs, emojis, and curiosity questions to make the conversation more holistic, maybe try that?
