There are studies that suggest that children raised by single fathers have far greater outcomes than those raised by single mothers. Much of this is related to earned income by the articles I found while doing a quick Google. Men do make more money - but they typically work harder and longer hours. As a woman I prefer male ob/gyn. They are kinder and more gentle usually, and generally take you serious when you have a complaint. They are clear on verbalizing when they touch you so that you know what to expect. Obviously it's a delicate subject and I can understand why some women would prefer women docs. But my experience has always been better when visiting a male doctor. As for the double standard I completely agree that you (anyone) should be able to decide who sees or touches your body. …

I think it really depends on when you "became successful" .. anything that you do before you are married would most likely remain yours after divorce, if you become successful while being already married, your wife would be entitled to half. There are ways to "hide" assets from your wife to protect yourself like trusts and businesses and the like, but that makes me wonder, if you are doing that are you really giving your all in the marriage in the first place?
