And you are wrong. I dont think your rights.end where my feelings begin. I tinkou have every right to be as ignorant and pig headed as you like. Altough I am not realy sure why you think I dont have a right to point out that ignorance...

You are right. It is an obvious argument that shouldnt even meed to be made. Unfortunately, since it is fairly evident that you dont have much of a grasp on history of feminist theory, I thought I would give you a helping hand. Too bad you dont seem to have a grasp on how to have a productive discussion either. Since when is responding to a logical, well founded and respectful argument with GTFO the grown up thing to do?

I am sure you wouldnt appreciate people assuming that every male rights activists approaches male rights and accompanyibg issues in the same way. I, for example, strongly support male rights, femal rights, but more accurately, equality, and certainly would not want people to associate my platform with people like yours. Your automatic jump to hate speech not only exposes your ignoranc when it comes to gende issues, but also undermines your cause. Anyone serious about supporting equality would be…

Just becaus you disagree with the direction some strands of femenism have taken, doesnt mean you can make blanket statements about the historical basis of a hugely diverse and complex movement. What responsibilities are you suggesting mainstream femenism is trying to shirk exacty? And again, are you basing this on anything other than your own personal biases?

I agree with you. The ability to choose to be whatever kid of individual you want to be is ultimately the heart of every equality and.rights issue, isnt it? I just want to add that I think we need to be careful when labelling traits or behaviour as femenine or masculine. I am offendes on behalf of men every time I hear qualities such as empathy and compassion desceibed as femenine. Lots of women are those things and so are lots of men. Why does it make you like a mother if you are nuturing? Why …

They do get razzings from some femenists it is true. But there are lots of femenists, maybe not those with he loudest voices all the time, but definitly a majority that dont want to be forced into any role. I want to be able to decide whether, as an individual, I would prefer to work or stay home or whatever else. And I want the same thing for men. I actually don't think it is possible to acheive that for either gender without doing so for the other.

Is this serious? The second you start expecting men to fill a specific role, even if you say its in the name of preserving their right to fill that traditional role if they choose, you are effectively taking away their rights as an individual. There is a huge problem with labelling behaviour as "effeminate" as it implies that acting a certain way threatens your gender. Individual choice is at the heart of every equality issue.

That is completely untrue. While women were fighting for the vote they were also fighting for the right to choose to work as well. What are you basing that on?

is anyone else uncomfortable with that recent adam sandler movie tht basically has this premise? he is abused by his teaher as a child. how is this the basis for a comedy movie? if it had been a male teacher and a young girl they would never get away with that. it would have been called what it is, statatory rape.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
