You’d think that it would be legal to put cameras in your own house, but putting cameras in a house you share with someone else without telling them can be considered wiretapping, which is a felony. I'm thankful every day that I'm uncut. The mantra of "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" applies nicely. Circumcision was developed in a time before soap, a time before effective hygiene methods were widely used. I whole heatedly agree with everything you've said. As an update, she disclosed thoughts of divorce for other reasons to me today, namely the husband is substantially overweight (in contrast, she's a petite little Japanese/Hawaiian thing), and he evidently is bad with money. I've made it clear to her that regardless of her choices, my personal experiences preclude me ever getting married. I also told her that I don't see this ending well.

That bit of advise is subject to income level. Personally, I do, but that is because I expect to be paying more in taxes in the future, so it makes sense to pay the lower tax rate now. However, if you are making enough to be required to pay the top tax rate, a Roth IRA is not a wise choice. In that case, I would recommend that that individual max out their contributions to a traditional IRA and then look in to other investments.

To take it one step further, not only is company match on 401k free money, it is a cost to the company that they factor in to how much you are paid. It is part of your compensation package. If the company offers a match and you don't take it, you are leaving money on the table.

I can tell you first hand, that I can count on one hand the number of police officers that have been helpful and sincere in their actions towards me (also a white male). The number that have been disrespectful and/or violated my constitutional rights is exponentially greater. I maintain a courteous and calm demeanor when in the presence of law enforcement officers.
