Sure it can be difficult, I only get there maybe 80% of the time? Unless I'm with a long-term partner that knows exactly how to do it, and is willing to put in the insane amount of time required with my marathon vagina. But I've never faked. I just say, hey, this feels really good, but it's probably not going to happen for me. They usually just say 'oh, okay', or 'are you sure?' and then move on. I don't see the point in faking it, they can tell I'm enjoying myself, and they get that it's diffic…

I mostly care about the toothbrush And I wouldn't say I 'focus' on it...I just take the half a second to put the lid down!

Thank you sincerely for the ELI5.... But I hope you understand that I now am going to make myself forget this info as well as I can, for my own sanity when brushing my teeth. And one day when I have the funding to be more picky about my housing situation, I'll remember it again and make sure to get one of those bathrooms where the toilet is in its own little room.

That doesn't make sense to me. If I flush my usual way, then lift and look at the lid, it has water drops on it. If the lid hadn't been closed, that water would have gone up and out. I mean I do get that there's still gaps and therefore spray, but from the sides under the seat, not straight up towards the ceiling.

Yeah when I first commented, this method wasn't anywhere in the thread. I was really confused, I thought it was a common practice. I guess all my roomates have always just caught on to my preference ? Because I've been in one bathroom apartments and the lid is ALWAYS down.

Bahahaha no. Not even close. Personally I learned to do it in elementary school, in the same hygiene unit that taught us not to use the same knife for raw meat and then veggies. Seriously though have you not noticed the tons of people commenting the same habit as me? Having ygiene habits does not equal OCD. Otherwise you could say that for every person that flosses.

Yeah but the amount compared to when I have everything closed? It's the best I can do

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
