Not sure if I can agree on your theory of about women's strength. There are some women who could easily out PT any other man. The main concern that I have with women being embedded in infantry units is the fact that if a woman gets shot, men will instinctively try to help/protect her and then turn their anger onto anyone who is not in their unit. This can jeopardize the unit's mission and I think this is the main reason that women are not in close-combat units. EDIT: Actually, here is wikipedia …

If my memory serves me right, the US only allows women to serve in combat flying positions. As someone who was an infantryman, I think women should be able to fill all combat positions.

In the US, women are still excluded from combat positions.
