By arguing that a crime against one sex is worse than the same crime against the other sex, rather than discussing how the crime is horrible regardless of sex, aren't they proving your point? I don't think this is a sex/gender equality issue. This has to do entirely with the funding of the teams and the money they make. The article even says that women's teams quadrupled their sponsors after the WWC. So if we know that the men's team has more funding that women's team, it's obvious that they can afford to fly in business. I agree that it needs to be more than a verbal accusation. The fact that there can be no evidence and still accepted as fact (even if only SOME of the time) is what gives way to false accusations. However, just because there is no immediate evidence sometimes doesn't mean every report of rape should be considered false. It is a serious crime, but I believe there can (and should) be a happy medium where both party's interested are protected until there is sufficient evidence.

The switch from women being dominated to no longer being domestic has transcended from a fight for freedom to a fight for dominance. I think this might be the best I've heard this expressed. For some time, this has been (in my mind) the most poignant critique of second and third wave feminism, providing evidence that the current movement is outdated.

Why is everyone so mad about this? This is a good thing for women, is it not? Yes, men are still charged more for auto-insurance (which I think is an entirely different matter and should be addressed as such), but when is moving towards equality a bad thing? The major flaw of where third wave feminism is headed is that they seek "equality" but at the expense of men, not for the sake of equality. This is where the MRM must differ.
