I think if maybe you had asked her to sit down and watch some videos of circumcision, she may well have changed her mind on the issue. Also, how can you be so certain that you would've had a son? You may have only had daughters.

Ayuh. http://avp.wikia.com/wiki/Yautja_(Predator) - There's a section in this article on 'Males and Females"

Thanks for your answer, sounds like it's basically a return to ICQ ;)

What is a "Discord" and why does it seem lately that individual subreddits all seem to have people making them?

All this article does is validate & assert that "toxic masculinity" exists and that women can choose not to become victims of it and in doing so, empower themselves. It's a subtle reframing that looks like it could be in support and defence of men, but really, it isn't.

Don't give up your room. If you do, and your mother get's her own room, you'll probably end up with strings of boyfriends, fuck buddies and one night stands coming round, and that could work out a great deal worse for you. I'm not trying to insult your mother, BTW, but I think she probably cares more about getting her own room for this reason, rather than getting your little sister her own room.

No, I reckon he's reading it right. Men are responsible for looking after themselves. The sooner in life boys understand that and start being responsible, the better their lives will be. I'm not saying that is OK, or equal, or that it should continue to be the case, or that there should be no effort made to change it, but I certainly think it's the reality.

I'd love to be there at the precise moment the attendees all realise how shit it is without guys.... thats if they can even get past the transgender brigades protest at the site entrance.

Agreed. Common Courtesy. I would stand aside for people exiting a bus, train, building, elevator regardless of whether they were men or women.

In my opinion, this is a bad idea for a gift. Nothing to do with the nature of the gift itself, but purely because of this statement you made: "...10 years ago we talked about the idea, I said maybe one day but that I didn't think it was a good idea and he has never once brought it up again..." If he's never discussed it with you again, in 10 years of marriage, it's probably something he doesn't want. Let me put it another way: "I'm thinking of buying my son a Power Rangers mini scooter for his …

Not a problem - glad you found it interesting. Aside from his more controversial talks, he does have a whole host of Psychology lectures on there, both on personality and archetypes that are very interesting too.

I would specifically recommend this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfH8IG7Awk0 I first watched his interview with Cathy Newman and I found it to be the most obvious representation of how these types of "tough question" interviews have changed from being a genuine search for the truth, into the desire to forcibly create the truth the journalist wants to hear. I was interested by Jordan Peterson's statements and the video I have recommended was suggested by Youtube so I decided to watch it -…

One of the things missing from the world in my opinion in this day and age is an appreciation of nuance, and so I am all for adding many layers of it. I wouldn't suggest that all false accusations should require a mandatory prison sentence. It would be up to the lawmakers to discern what nuance is needed and up to the judges to interpret that on a case by case basis.

I disagree - lying is not a sexual crime. I would agree that people making accusations of this nature should be charged with the offence of Perjury. I don't know if the current laws cover this (I tried reading the Perjury act of 1911 but honestly, it's just gobbledegook to me) but I would support a petition that stated "False accusations of rape should be punishable under the Perjury act". As other posters have noted, it doesn't matter what the gender is of the person making such a false accusat…

No. My wife has male friends that she meets up with on occasion, but they are not alone together. They are either out having lunch, coffee, taking the kids to the park etc. Even though I don't distrust my wife, I would be deeply uncomfortable with the idea of her spending time alone with another male in a private environment without the kids around. By the same token and even though I do not distrust myself, I would be just as uncomfortable with spending time alone with another female who was no…
