It's common to have whole courses on one event at the beginning of high school? Maybe it's just where I live, but any history taken at this age would be of a very general nature, covering a broad time period and many events. I don't mean to be rude, but I don't get what you're saying. As far as I know, in early high school courses on history are usually very broad, so it's rare to have a grade 9 course covering just the holocaust.

Feminism is too broad and decentralized to have a single goal nowadays. Some would probably consider the job nearly done now, but those are few and far between, and most would probably never consider the job done, in particular because too many of them do not belong to a broad group which has a specific goal in mind.
