| -1 | How true is the statement that women were oppressed throughout history??Look man, I’m just as anti feminist as you, but if you look at how women are treated in modern times versus in, for example, the 17th century, then you’d notice they were treated pretty poorly. Women were seen as nothing but child bearers. Yeah it wasn’t that bad in compassion to say Jews in the holocaust and slaves in the 1800s. But not as bad doesn’t mean it was ok. Men were the ones working and physically were larger and stronger. So because of this, it seems like people fit extremely heavily into gender roles which created an actual patriarchal society.
