confident urgency. I like you, let's hang out.

All about options rather than layout. Both hard and soft pillows. Keep water and some light snacky things along with antacids and tylenol in your room so she doesn't have to go into the kitchen if you have roommates. I like music a lot during sexytimes, a bluetooth speaker is a great option. Cool sheets spring/summer/early fall, something warm in the winter. A bathrobe. Blanket options. Buy the 10 pack of the toothbrushes you use so you can always offer one. A way to control the temperature, eit…

Message the ones you like first. Also try to use online dating as a supplement to meeting people in real life. Never had good luck with women who message me first. Lots of open relationships and head cases. There's no perfect time to ask for a date, you sound like you follow about the same guidelines I do, early on when it feels comfortable. What are you asking them for? For me a meetup late afternoon in a public-ish place is nice, low pressure and I can bail after an hour if I want. To be fair,…

Sure, if you think that's the case then ok. Try for something else in a few days. If she can't make it then I wouldn't try again. Don't spend your time pursuing someone who is not into it!

context clues bro. If it seems like it's a plausible reason, and I think she's cool, then I'll take the lead and propose something else a few days later. If it seems like bullshit, like a friend she "neevvveeeer gets to see randomly has a night off work," then I'm probably not going to bother beyond sending a response of "Ok." Either way, there are lots of girls out there and I'm not going to worry about it too much. If something works out, great, if not, fine.

You need to start working on a formula for ending things before you truly want to, maybe by setting up time constraints or just saying that you had a great time but you need to make it to a going away party or whatever. Have a plan in mind for a second date, and set it up right then before you two go your own ways. I think that letting it go to the point where she invites you over and you have to reject her for whatever reason is more damaging than ending things early but setting up a second dat…

What interests you? Do stuff that interests you, don't pick up hobbies to be more interesting. Play videogames is in the same category as watch netflix. A fine activity for winding down or relaxing, but not noteworthy.

When you click, you click. Then it's up to both people to decide if they are willing to make it work.

do rad shit. start kayaking or taking a dance class or get a job at a cool restaurant where you will learn skills, or work at the book shop. Would be much better for you long term to focus on hobbies and interests rather than just going to parties.

from that person. just move on. no point in sticking around and either showing her you are too awesome to be with her anyway or trying to plead with her.

I would go out and meet other people. Seems like you are a backup option to her. Do you want to be a backup option?

Well said. I think OP made a mistake here by bringing up the experiences that they have had on Tinder. I never bring up online dating, even if that's how we met, because I have learned that it's generally a negative thing. I avoid bringing up things that I know are going to be negative when they aren't relevant to us having fun or getting to know each other. Inevitably the women tell stories of creepy guys, too much attention from guys, not enough good guys, crazy guys, etc. It opens the door to…

Why don't you just move on? If you start seeing her again you will be back in your old role of doing everything for her. I personally would move on and focus on getting what you want out of a relationship with someone else instead of being the nice guy who does everything for her.

focus on approaching them, not trying to get them to approach you. Seems from your post that you are trying to work around getting better at approaching.

Don't go in to this with expectations, seems like you are setting yourself up to be disappointed here if the date doesn't go like you are planning. Have fun and see how it goes. You don't know that she wants a relationship, maybe you both are just seeing what happens. Why don't you want a long term relationship, and why can't you think of a tasteful way to articulate it?

That is why, yes. You both know there is no possibility of anything happening so you don't care. Have you tried getting into that same mindset with girls who don't have boyfriends? What blocks you from being like that with other girls? In college you absolutely should not be fixated on one girl.

you do or do not know they have boyfriends when you start talking to them?

You get friendzoned by not escalating. Just keep doing what you are doing and you'll be safe.

Why is friending females emasculating? For me, women I work with are in the same category as my friend's ex-girlfriends, off limits. Why am I going to make things weird for myself at work when there are endless other women? I don't want to sit at my desk every day and wonder if I am giving enough attention to the person nearby that I am in a relationship with, or worse when things go south.

This is true. Just like how a man who is with his buddies has more social value than a man who is alone, a man who associates with attractive women (even if he's not dating them) is more attractive than a guy who is only seen associating with other men. That's a big one. Much more value in knowing the staff, and taking dates there or meeting the staff's friends.

Also, remember that you objective is to find the girls that really like you and to not waste your time with girls who aren't into you. If you strike up a convo with a woman and you show interest and she's not interested, be thankful that you've got that one out of the way, and meet more girls. So important. I wasted so much time in my early 20s fixated on girls that were not interested. Cast a wide net, talk to everyone, and see what happens.
