I can't help but think of Selena Gomez's "Good For You." I just wanna look good for you, good for you, oh-oh. Just lemme look good for you, good for you, oh-oh. Lemme show you how proud I am to be yours, leave this dress a mess on the floor, and still look good for you, good for you, oh-oh.

Oh my goodness, this is the first time I realized exactly why one would use a pastry cutter shame... thank you so much! I'll definitely be checking back with a final picture!

I'm very excited for Christmas this year! Well, I'm always excited for Christmas, but this year more than most. My fiancée and I are celebrating our first Christmas in the beautiful little house we bought over the summer, along with our furry critters, and I'm trying my hand at making my first pie ever. I will not be hostessing, but I always bring treats or food or both to my in-laws house. He got me a (frigging gorgeous) antique sewing machine, and I got him an antique typewriter. I'm intereste…

This is only anecdotal, but my SO brushes off advice unless he asks for it. Instead, I usually offer words of encouragement, such as "I know you, you can handle this" along with a genuine smile or hug.

While I agree that typically, the dynamics are quite different between hetero and homosexual relationships, this kind of situation transcends that. Men and women get into passionless situations, too, AEB /r/deadbedrooms. Just thought his poor predicament could serve as a reminder for us to never allow ourselves to become anything less than the best, most passionate and playful women we are capable of being.

Today I made a vegan pot pie from scratch with no recipe, and it turned out Beautifully!! Even my SO said it was super good, which is definitely a bonus, as we have very different tastes. Next up is a pumpkin cheesecake (probably from minimalist baker if she has one) cause the white girl in me is screaming to get out and taste all the fall treats.

Read the update, and that is wonderful to hear :-) good eats guilt-free, and a stable, happy marriage. Win-win!

When cooking, I make a meal that is inherently vegan, then cook his meat on the side and add it to his plate only. This keeps us both happy and takes a minimal amount of "extra" work. If you're uncomfortable with the idea of even cooking meat, I actually would NOT suggest using the plant-based meats for your husband: it reads as deceptive and manipulative, forcing him to eat what you eat without his consent. That aside, I think it would go a long way if you had a talk with him about why you chos…

I give him pedicures too, pretty much for the same reason! (Not cause he bites his toenails, but he does mindlessly pick them on occasion) it's a great way to say "I love you and want you to look and feel good," I think

I just asked a similar question a few days ago, and got several helpful responses. I'll try to figure out a way to link that thread for you

Wow, what a fantastic response! I completely see the logic behind 1 and 2, and while I can think that I wouldn't be like that, and wouldn't screw him over should we get divorced, that must still be a possibility to him, especially since both of our parents are divorced, and since he's statistically-minded, he sees something like 50% of marriages end in divorce. I think 3 and 4 are why I feel such an urge to be married. I don't need a big ceremony if it means I can call him "My Husband" because n…

I learned this through Eunice Leong-Tan's website/blog called The Elegant Woman. Very helpful, and she embodies very well the things she talks about. It's definitely worth checking out

I really like the leggings and tee look! Casual and cute , thanks!! :-) had bloodwork done about a month ago and was pretty normal, and steak and liver are out of the question (vegetarian) but I should definitely focus more on iron to see if it helps the perpetually cold feeling. Thank you!

I should really start utilizing my robe.... most of my nighties are satin or cotton, all spaghetti strap except for one which has 3/4 sleeves. Unfortunately I'm one who can be under 2 blankets with a sweater and still be a little chilly. We've joked that I must be anemic, but he's a furnace so I usually get as close as I can while in bed.

Hmm I hadn't thought of leggings. Those under a loose-but-flattering top might be just the thing to keep me warm and still look cute. Thanks!

That's a good point, I have a short but cozy cotton robe that I just never think about wearing. I also have a couple blankets that I fold under my side of the duvet to keep warm while sleeping (especially since he insists on cracking the window at night) and I usually end up snuggling to his body for warmth in my sleep

Once we get going I never regret it, I enjoy being close to him and I'm always glad I did it afterwards. This is the most important aspect for me. Even if I'm not really in the mood to begin with, him being affectionate almost inevitably turns me on and everything is peaches after that.

Thanks for the response! I loved that first dress and the grey sweater. I can't do high waisted pants though because they make my ribcage more obvious.. I'll definitely look around online for more inspiration

That's a fantastic article! I do have one slightly weird question though. I am slim but have an hourglass frame and protruding ribs.. so with my relatively small waist and wide shoulders, hips, and ribcage, I can look very boxy. Since I can't change my bone structure, do any of you ladies have any tips on dressing, standing, and the like to make a body more flattering?
