I thought your post was fine. What you are trying to tell men with this post, and how you are improving their sexual strategy, is that you are talking about the right mindset. The angry I hate women mindset has a temporary positive side because it forces you to re-examine your beliefs; it's a powerful fuel for change. But hanging on to it past its usefulness and it will become toxic and counter productive. I'm personally struggling to get away from this as well. I don't think I'm angry at women,…

You're fine. Go to a community college for a couple of years, then you can go to a 4-year college and get your engineering degree. In the old days, school is never the wrong path. But today, you have to think about money. Schools are so ridiculously expensive these days that sometimes it's not worth it. Run some calculations, if you have to take out a student loan, how much will you be in debt after you graduate. Then look at entry positions for engineering jobs, to see how much you'll get paid.…

All is fair in love and war. It's up to the individual, and how much you can work with your own conscience. It seems you probably have a fairly strong conscience. That's arguably bad for you, but good for others around you. So you should, and probably do, rise above and put in the extra effort into doing things right. Because you believe in it, plus you never want to cross your own conscience. For those that do not have a strong conscience, they are free to do X, because other women do X as well…

Just roll with it. If you're not interested, you're not interested. Be polite and civil. With that said, some will react poorly anyway. This is the same thing that attractive women have to deal with. A lot of guys that they are not interested in hitting up on them. Some of these men will turn nasty when they are turned down, no matter how civilized the woman was behaving. If these women can deal with it, I would assume you should be able to as well.

Had gray hair since my teens. Every year I get more. Just my genetics. I dyed it for a bit, but it was too much work, so I stopped. If it bothers you, there are plenty of products to cover it. If it doesn't, don't worry about it. Chicks don't care. It a question of do you care. I usually just crack jokes about it like it gives me an air of authority, or that's how I get chicks with daddy issues or whatever.

Well the video talks about Virginia law. Assuming it's the same everywhere, it will go down like this: Cop: Roll down your window Dude: No I won't, and it's within my rights not to. (this is true) Cop: Get out of the car. Ok... now you have no choice. According to the video, supreme court ruled that cops can ask you to exit your vehicle... for ANY reason... including that you didn't feel like rolling down your window. So you are basically taunting the cop to escalate to the next level, where the…

Me too. Except I prefer Latinas. Just personal preference. But if you want LTR, you'll need to step outside of your type. And it's not issue of trashy vs classy. If trashy can be ghetto and drama, classy can be manipulative and high maintenance. If you want LTR, your requirements should be different. You should look for other qualities as opposed to "type". Because once you are knee deep in a relationship, "type" becomes less important.

Fucking awesome. But you have to put in the work to socialize; it's not handed to you like at a school. For the longest time I never turned down any social invitation. Sometimes I'd party hop 2-3 parties on a Saturday. So I started from sports teams. I played adult recreational leagues, and from there I made friends, started going to their parties/BBQs, started meeting their friends who weren't necessarily playing sports, and most importantly, their female friends, and the friends of their femal…

Yeah, that's what I meant. Certain questions require thinking, like for example, a programming exercise. Then take your time and think instead of blurting out an answer. But sometimes I'll be asked a question that I know the answer to, but I would stumble a bit because I don't know how to start giving the answer. Having practice will resolve that situation. Either way, interviewing is just another skill. The more you do it, the better you get at it. Interview for jobs that you don't even want. I…

Maybe because I'm in a different industry, but this wouldn't work at all. Briefcase method won't wow anyone unless what came out of the briefcase is actually revolutionary. Typically you show confidence by: Not being nervous Having a proper answer for every question without having to pause/think about it/... etc, exception for questions that do require thinking, like for example, a programming exercise You get both of these by interviewing a lot. Interviewers typically ask the same questions. If…

If you want a family, a wife is the mother of your children. Having a positive relationship with your wife is great for your kids. That's not the only way nor the only qualification to have a family with well-adjusted kids, but it's certainly one possible option. Also, our society doesn't like single men. If you are in the public eye, and you want to look positive, you should make sure it looks like you have a happy family, pretty wife, cute kids, and a dog, and oh, you go to church regularly...…

It's okay. We are all born with different amount of conscience. You are unlucky to have a strong one, and there's nothing you can do about it, so you just have to manage it. It's good for society to have people with strong conscience, but individually, that's not a good thing, because having a conscience is like having a limitation. The most important thing is to know yourself. Congratulations, now you've just gained a bit more knowledge about yourself, this is very valuable experience. Just don…

They're not your friends. Drop them. Find new ones. First, do not associate with tumblr feminists. There are "real" feminists out there, you can tell because they want equality, even for men. It's up to you if you want to be friends with real feminists. It's great that they're willing to fight for equality for men too, but they also have to be friend material to become your friend. During off season, women's Olympic hockey team practice against boys high school teams. Because that's the level they play at. Don't get me wrong, I play adult recreational beer leagues, so these boys and the ladies of the Olympic team would destroy my team. So they are skilled. They are just not nearly as good as men's Olympic teams. Thanks for the support, I feel the same way. I don't want to be high and mighty anyway. I'm not a great enough man to walk the high road. I'm just the average dude. So yep, not my relationship, not my problem. Not going to cheat on my girl, but that's about as far as I'm willing to go. I just recognize and own my non-greatness, that's all.

Not into the ground stuff (tried it, not my thing), but I used to box and kickbox. I'd like to get back to it one day, but I'm getting old. Recently I got back into hockey. I played from late 90's to mid 2000's, then I stopped for a long time. If I ever break up with my GF I'll have time to get back into boxing/kickboxing. For now, just hockey. The problem isn't with the concept of marriage, it's the legalities that comes with marriage. 10,000 years ago there were no divorce lawyers to advise your soon-to-be-ex-wife to file fake domestic violence reports against you. The current cultural climate also makes it difficult for men. Men are looked as sexual predators. Guilty sometimes even after proven innocent. A divorce where both sides are pulling out the biggest weapons they can afford, this is readily used by women, and will sometimes …

Friendzone her back, change directions, start hitting up on other women (as in plural). Then after it's all said and done, you'll realize that while kicking into social high gear, moving on, and hitting on other women is the right thing to do, if you look at it from the perspective of doing all this just to try to get with with the original girl, whether it succeeded or not, is totally not worth it. Because after all, no woman is worth that much effort. And that original girl, now that you've be…

Agreed. A vendetta based society is even worse. Because then what it means is whoever has the biggest gun wins. I'm a big company, I don't need to pay you because I can hire Blackwater to kill you and everyone you know. Right now big companies win because they have more resources to throw at lawyers and the government. But at least murder isn't one of their tools (at least in developed countries). If murder becomes accessible to the small guys, it would have been available to the big companies w…

It's sad that I called it. But this is standard practice as the follow up after domestic violence/restraining order. Good for you for staying vigilant. Always leave a paper trail, always be accountable somehow in a form that will be acceptable in court.

Actually he didn't get divorce raped because he did his homework. He managed to get two violation and used them to his advantage.. the ex is in danger of contempt of court. Otherwise this would have been a lot worse. When dealing with these cases, it's important you follow the laws exactly. The name of the game is to trick the other person into doing something that will violate the law/court order in some way. This is why women will use something minor, such as a momentary outburst, as domestic …

Unfortunately that doesn't help them. People not ready for TRP will reject it. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink it. I was in a band with a couple of kids (early 20's). One was the typical dorky beta nerd. Skinny, smelled bad, no social skills, girls don't like him. The other one was wise beyond his age that when we talk about women, we are pretty much on the same page as TRP (this was before TRP was around). Nice. What you did for Buckets was more than you think. You gave him support, and without knocking him off course by filling his head with beta white knight feel good bullshit. After all is said and done, I was still second guessing myself, even in my late 30's, because I had no one like you as a sounding board. Sorry for the spoiler. The science factor is definitely there, as in what do we consider AI? What do we consider consciousness? It plays in an area where science intersects with human nature. In fact the science-ness of it is mostly presented to the viewer via dialogs, so you probably need to have an affinity to science to appreciate it. The conversation captivated me, but I could see some tinder girl getting bored out of her mind during that time, and be completely confused at the end of the mo…

I like Ex Machina. SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!! The only way to prove that the AI is advanced enough to be indistinguishable from a human is to emotionally manipulate a beta. Then the beta gets what was coming to him. I believe I even read an interpretation that this is some sort of feminist girl power movie. It symbolizes the woman breaking out of the bonds that her captor, the evil male patriarchy, had put around her. But really it's about a woman using her sexuality to manipulate a weak man the…

Many incidents that lead up to it, I didn't have just one... But there's one incident that stood out to me where I was glad I've learned the game. So I hit up on this chick at a club. Cold approach, she shuts me down. Whatever. I keep running into her, apparently she's a regular, so I approached again, this time I managed to get her to agree to "meet some place", not even a date, just going to another club together. It's all personal preference. Do both if you like both. Important thing is to keep improving yourself. They both contribute to SMV, just that the mechanism of how they improve SMV may be different. One can argue, ditch both, play guitar and get in a band. Being a musician interestingly also raises your SMV. So it's really your personal choice, as long as you choose something and get off the couch.

It's not a hoax, this happened awhile back, and there have been many similar stories from various colleges/universities. The mattress chick is another similar story, she even made a "re-enactment", i.e. porn, recreating that night. This is not rape. The legal system will not prosecute, because there is no case here. She gave a blow job then later regretted it, that's it. However, the school system does not operate on the same level as the legal system. They do not care about evidence or doing th…

I'm in the LA area too. People here multi-date by default. I've been on the receiving end of this plenty of times, i.e. I was only one of several that the woman was seeing. Dating culture is different by location, but in LA, this is pretty common. Doesn't mean some chicks won't balk at this... remember regardless of culture, it is to their advantage if there are no competitions. Did you lie to them? It it was unsaid, it's up to them to figure out what you're about before doing anything of importance with you, i.e. sex or any other activities they deem important. This is called personal responsibility. IMHO, the best way for fuck buddy retention is to only fuck. Once feelings are involved, it's over. So your best bet is to stay away from activities that could develop feelings, i.e. anything outside of just sex for the sake of sex. With that said, with so little connection, fuck buddies could disappear easily as well, no matter how you slice and dice it, fuck buddies relationships are unstable. But you have a cut off date of two months anyway, just enjoy. IMHO.

The most important thing is to know yourself, know what you want, know how to get it, and know the pros and cons of your choice. I personally don't buy into this N-count stuff, unless it's excessive. By excessive I mean excessively high or excessively low. Since I'm in my mid 40's, and I would date women up into the 40's as well (if I were single), if I meet a 32 year old woman that's a virgin, that would be more of an indicator that something weird is going on than a 32 year old woman that has …

Not TRP opinion, just mine. Whatever floats your boat. The most important thing is you need to know what you want. Yes, but it there isn't a "sure-fire" way to do it. There are things you can try, which may or may not work. But at the end of the day, no woman is worth this much effort. I do recommend trying it, if you are a newbie, because succeed or fail, it would be a valuable social experimentation experience, i.e. do it once, understand the mechanics and your limits, and then never bother with it again. There are some good tips here already. My addition, which I hope is not a repeat, is this: Decrease an…

IMHO only: I think it has to do with honor. Not saying women are not honorable and men are, because there are plenty of women with honor and men without. But I feel that honor is a virtue more closely related with men and love/nurturing with women. Maybe because that's what we are bred for. We are supposed to pass on our genes, then go out and die in defense of our home/family/clan/society. The offspring of men with honor tend to survive, repeatedly selected generation after generation. Then when the feeling was subsiding I was like, nevermind, I do want to cum right now and went for it. I ended up kind of cumming, but nothing was ejaculated. Well, I'm not an expert in this. I just saw a scientific paper that was interesting and I thought relevant. This has to do with your social pecking order based on your behavior. I'm not sure if it says anything about your plate's behavior, or even the calmest guy wins. I think it's more of a threshold. If you are past the threshold, the calmer you are, the less "bang for the buck" return you'll get. A lot of things are like this when it comes to attracting women. You don't need to be the most aw…

Different people will have different levels and causes, and will need different methods to control it. I think I only have low level anxiety. I was able to keep it under control by playing mind games with myself. One is setting expectations. If I mentally blow off any rewards I can get from a social outing, then it makes me less anxious because now the activity is not outcome driven. Another thing is practice. I put myself in social situations all the time, sometimes I'd go to a party where I only know a few people, and I'd be left to my own devices to socialize. After you've done an anxiety-caus…

I did salsa and various Latin social dancing. West Coast Swing has more couples than salsa and bachata, to my understanding. The salsa/bachata scene has a lot of perpetually single people because the dance is a lot more sexy, and couples normally can't survive in this type of environment, meaning once you get into an LTR, chances are, you'll have to give it up. But this is great news for single people. You meet a lot of people of the opposite sex, the ice breaker is virtually built in, if you ar…

Supposedly the shampoo + conditioner cleans out toxins (DHT), strengths hair (biotin), and I think it also darkens your hair a bit, since gray hair also makes your hair look kind of thin. Not very expensive, you can get both shampoo + condition on ebay for around $40, big bottles. If it gets to the point where the topical methods don't work, last resort is to shave it off, and really, it's not that bad. Work out and get a muscular body, and that's the Vin Diesel look.

I think it's about the mystery. If you are just all out one way or another, you're not interesting. So you play a "maybe", throw in positive and negative signs, keep it confusing, but that translates to "mysterious" in women terms. Women love that shit (some women at least). Yes no, hot cold, on off. They live for this kind of drama. Doesn't always work, but I suppose it's an useful tool in your toolbox.

No, I see white girls with Hispanic guys too, I see white girls with Asian guys less. It's also area specific. In south Orange County for example, there are very few black people, so you're not going to see white girl + black guy very often.

Probably black guys. I've also seen Hispanic guys with white chicks. Occasionally Asian guys. But then again, when have you seen Asian guys with Latinas or black girls? I've dated both, I like Latinas the best, and black girls #2. I remember going to a black/Hispanic club with my GF at the time, who was black. All the black guys were surprised that we were together, but ultimately didn't care. Many of the black women there would stop dancing to stare at us disapprovingly... probably more for her…

Asian man in So Cal here. You're not getting any bonuses. For example, white guys are the go-to for minority women when they want to date inter-racially. Asian guys, you're not getting that free bonus. Although with the more recent media presence, Asian guys are starting to get a bit more attention. Also Asian women don't like to date Asian men. But that seems to be more of an age thing, as if Asian women, when they go through teens - 20's, they'll shun Asian men, but in their 30's they become o…

Chicks are flaky. That's just how it is. You are doing some of the things you're supposed to do already: make your intentions clear, don't deviate from it, refuse to get friend zoned, be ready to take no as an answer gracefully, and hit on as many women as your schedule allows. It's a number game. Sometimes we hit dry spells, sometimes it rains like crazy. My personal experience has been this way, for some reason when things do happen, they tend to happen all at the same time, and you have to ma…

Normally I say you, as a man, has to be a go-getter. You push forward to get what you want, exclusive relationship, sex, whatever. It's up to her to say yes or no. But, unless you put her in a position where she has to say yes or no, she will continue to play this game and mess with your head. For example, ask her out on a date and make sure she knows it's a date and not just two friends hanging out. Go for for a kiss on the lips, whatever. But what you also need to do is to be able to take no f…

I'm lucky that I saw my own parents' marriage disintegrate, and I learned from it. So I'm on board with TRP for myself. But really it should be the other way around, you should have a pretty damn good answer to why you want to get married. Morbid maybe won't work so well. Perverted is okay provided you don't head into creepville. The easiest way to do that is after you make a sexual joke, move on. Don't keep lingering on it like it was your most glorious moment. Another thing is that chicks laughing at your dumb jokes in general is a good sign. Chicks that are attracted to you sexually may also play off of your sexual joke and keep it going for a bit. A little back and forth. Then you know it's a good sign. That's also what I enjo…

Sleeping around is an activity, a hobby. It's like saying I played hockey every week for a year already, even won a couple of T-shirts, yet it leaves me feeling empty like my life is missing something. It's not uncommon to have to do some soul searching as you get older. But it has nothing to do with sleeping around, unless you've mistakenly placed some sort of meaning of life importance on sleeping around. It's just an activity. Your life has to be about more than women, or hockey.

The "crazy" part isn't the resistance against letting you stick your dick in. It's the psycho aftermath that comes with it. If you like a challenge, hit up women with the mega bitch shield. Enjoy your challenge there. But a psycho woman will stalk you, call their ex-con BF to stab you, claim rape and try to get you arrested, none of that is fun. Bitch shield chicks are not the same as crazy chicks.

Life isn't about sticking your dick in every time an opportunity comes up. It's okay to pass, for even less reasons. In fact, for men that have access to women, they would pass even more often, just because another one is right around the corner, so they don't give a shit. Vagina is a common commodity, every woman has one.

I've told this story many times here, but it illustrates the "natural state" of women very well. My bandmate who is a young kid befriended a young girl at a festival. She boasted to him that she could get guys to give her money. My bandmate called her bluff, and being she's flirty and cute, she demonstrated her powers quickly, and got some random guy to give her $5. My bandmate then up the ante, and challenged her to try the same with his group of friends. She did her song and dance, and quickly…

It could be a start, but being a jerk is not the way to go either. It's more about knowing what you want and not deviating from it, even if other people don't like it. Like most things in life, you need to find the balance. There will be social repercussion though. But you can always try it with people that are not close to you, or move on to a new social group once you have the new you dialed in. It is more work than a more subtle approach I suppose. Actually it's good you mentioned your age. Vasectomy is great, unless you change your mind. You will get resistance when you talk to a doctor. It's good for you to expect this when making your plans.
/r/askTRP02/11/15 08:37 PM
1

Vasectomy failures happen immediately, that's why you are supposed to get tested for sperm twice after the surgery. Extremely rarely a vasectomy can reverse itself after already being tested negative, but the probability of that is on the scale of an act of God. The failure statistics I believe includes both scenarios, but by far it's the immediate failure type where the surgery was not performed correctly. Reversal has very low success ratio. Basically one should just assume it's permanent.
/r/askTRP02/11/15 08:33 PM
2

And I believe that the longer you have the vasectomy, the success rate also drops. Something about the sperm becoming deformed and not able to swim (I'm not an MD so I defer to you). Vasectomy should be considered permanent.

Got mine. It's awesome. You are young, so your doctor may make you jump through hoops, like make you wait, send you to talk to counselling, or something. Basically, they want to make sure you won't change your mind. Because even though a vasectomy can be reversed, the success ratio is pretty low. You don't need to look like a hot blonde blue-eyed guy, unless your goal is to sleep with the most number of women by the time you die, and you insist on not doing it with fame or money. Fame/money/social status is the number one factor. Men's appearance for women actually take a much lower priority than it is for men, when we look at women. The upside is the sex is probably better because you are more familiar with each other, and also get along (if you don't get alone then your are not friends). Asian here, similar experience. When I was in high school and college, Asian women tend not to date their own race. Especially in college, that's where I ran into Asian women that not only do they not date their own race (hey, everyone is entitled to have preferences), they actually talk down about the men of their own race. So I did what made sense. If dating Asian women as an Asian man is barking up the wrong tree, then I will date women of all the other ethnicities. What I've found out, is th…

Good job. Fighting is always last resort. You should train because I think as a man, you should do something physical, even if you can't do it well. Street fights however, is something to be avoided. Also, MMA doesn't train you for street fighting. Sure, you are a lot more prepared than someone without any training, but that's not what it's for. For example, MMA does not protect against attacks to the eyes, throat, groin, or the back of the head. And these are the areas that an opponent will go …

You can't. That's why when in doubt, you should go for it. From the opposite perspective, this is also why when men are shy, they won't be able to get anything going. Because it's a pain in the ass dealing with people that are shy, you can't tell if it's shy or disinterest. I usually just throw something out there, if she responds, go time. If she's too shy, I just assume disinterest and move on. I've had times where after I moved on, suddenly it lit a fire under their butts and they go aggressi…

You already said the relationship is done if she goes out. You can't make ultimatums then not follow it. She completely disregarded and disrespected you. Anyway, you have 100% right to ask her not to go out, regardless if it's right or wrong. This is your relationship, you decide how it goes.

TRP tends to be straight male's perspective on relationships with women. So everything that is said and talked about here, is basically cherry picking only the facets that applies to this specific perspective, from the full spectrum that is the reality. The fact is, the problem that we talk about is only a subset of "relationship problems". We don't talk about women's issues with men (let's face it, with every bullshit AWALT chick behavior, there's one bullshit men behavior to match, men and wom…

It's less of what you look like and more of how it makes you feel. Women are drawn to the self confidence. Sure, the muscles help, but that is secondary to the confidence. For me, I'm also a small frame guy that's naturally around 145 if all I did was play sports for fun. If I didn't play sports I'd be even skinnier. I always felt that my skinny-ness was an obstacle. One of the things you have to learn, and it's a tough one that I struggle with, is not to be outcome oriented. You do your thing, and you don't care if it works out or not. When you attach an outcome, an expectation, you are only making things hard for yourself because a large part of this game is NOT skill based. Meaning, even if you do everything 100% right, the best that you can ever do, a woman that is not interesting in you, will still not be interested in you, and you will be "defeated". S…

I'm sure you've seen UFC fighters get into the "turtle position". In the streets even someone without training can seriously injure or even kill you by simply stomping on the back of your head. Spot on. But even without knowing the "why" this is an easily recognizable pattern. Women that are into you can't wait to be alone with you. She will make sure you somehow end up alone with each other, even if you were at a party or in some sort of group situation. The fact that she puts so much resistance against being alone with you, even without understanding why, is a clear signal that she's a dead end. But you did the right thing. Next her. Good job.

Point taken. I've never sparred against anyone elite, male or female, so I would defer to your first hand experience. As of now without any additional training, and fighting MMA rules, Rousey definitely has the advantage. Maybe I'm giving Mayweather too much credit for being an advanced athlete. Well, that's a bit different, because Mayweather wouldn't know how to defend against take downs and submissions. Take downs and submissions are specifically design for fighting against a physically stronger opponent, which is exactly the case here. With that said, with some basic MMA training and preparation, and being that Mayweather is an elite athlete even though I dislike him very much, Rousey wouldn't stand a chance. IMHO.

You brought up two points: 1) Women have a more difficult time through college. False. There are actually more programs available to help women. 2) Maternity leave isn't sufficient in the US. This is only a feminism issue if paternity leave is unfairly superior to maternity leave, and this is simply not the case. The most you can say is US health care is not sufficient, but that affects both men and women equally, and is not a feminism or man vs woman issue. Both of those issues you have brought…

Just play along with minimal effort. If you hook up you hook up. If you don't then hook up with other chicks. Unless you're trying to go exclusive with her or something, I don't see the problem. Although personally I would have issues with drug use, but not the flakiness.

When I'm hungry I don't care what I eat, I just want food. Here's a typical example: GF: Where do you want to eat? Me: How about this place? GF: No... Me: How about that place? GF: No... Me: How about this other place that you like? GF: Well... not feeling it right now... Let's eat Sushi.. Me: Sure (thinking.. then why didn't you just say you want sushi to begin with?) This has nothing to do with who's the alpha or any deeper meanings, because the times that we do go some place I want to go, tha…

If I get to hang out with a group of just girls, she can hang out with a group of just guys. If you don't trust her, don't get into any sort of exclusive arrangement with her. This is sadly true. "Equal" relationship doesn't exist. One side will always be more dominant. If you are not the dominant one, then you are the submissive one, period. With that said, some likes to punch, some likes to get punched (figuratively speaking), as long as you are getting what you want, you can live your life however way you want. However no matter what floats your boat, equality is impossible. Pick a side. If you are the dominant one and you say... hmm, I'm going to be less dominant …

It's difficult to throw out the prenup, but as we've seen, it is 100% possible. For the most part, it works as intended, but there will always be cases where someone manages to work the system. Marriage is a risk, and only should be for people that really really want it, or have nothing to lose.

That's why you should not base your well-being on another person, whether the relationship is familial, platonic, or romantic, with your parents, best friend, or wife. Don't get me wrong, they ARE here to love you and help you (ideally anyway), and hopefully do make your life better, but they are not here to be the reason for you to live your life. I agree. But I wouldn't stop it, because the only time I would do something about it, is when I next her. And this is not next-worthy.. yet. Could it develop into a next-worthy situation? Absolutely. Like you said, it's about more than actually cheating, there's a point where the line of "respect" is crossed, and that would next-worthy without cheating. Yes, social status is probably one of the single most important factors. That's why if you can, be the "big fish in the small pond". This only underlines the importance of being social. As you can see, a lot of the times these things happen because the guy, who can be totally not interesting to the woman, happened to be at the right time and the right place. How do you be at the right time and place? Be out and about socializing as much as possible. And this random sex is only a side effect. Being a "princess" has nothing to do with interest in status and wealth. Being a princess means she expects everyone to cater to her whims, it means she expects the world to revolve around her. I don't know the right course of action. But I can tell you, in my experience, once you say okay and give in, not that it's never okay to give in, LTRs are about sacrifices, she will ask for more. It is never enough with women, she will never stop. It will be one thing then another. The easier you give in, the more often she will ask, the more justified she will feel, and the more she will expect it. The trick is picking which battles to fight. Actually I believe it's more about federal funding. The federal government has stated that if colleges don't do anything about "rape", they will not get funding. Except they didn't specify exactly what entails rape, how to determine it, guidelines, or any metrics that will be used to decide if the funding will be withheld. This will not stand up in court, which is why it never went to court as rape. This is only in colleges and universities, because they are taking the easy way out by sacrificing male students to get federal funding. Eventually, they will stomp on students whose families have the financial means to fight back, as with a case I believe in UC San Diego. As more and more of these incidents happen, more and more lawsuits that colleges will lose, when finally it hit their pocket books in a negative man…

I have similar thoughts from my brief experience with couples counseling. Supposedly the therapist was highly recommended from my personal friends, and in her defense, she did try to be unbiased. However, you are 100% right that people go to counseling to get allies to kick the other person around. Yes. If they are attracted to you already, paying them compliments will most likely "start the fire". If they are not attracted to you, then at best it won't accomplish anything, at worst marks you as a person they can use and kick around. So compliments cannot be used to start anything, it should only be used when you want to feed the fire that is already burning. Also, use it sparingly. I would do something polite like "Ok, hope you get over your ex soon, take care." You should ALWAYS be hitting on more women anyway. Even if this one does go on a date with you, and you end up having sex with her, you should go out and get a couple more chicks anyway. The rule is, unless you have an exclusive relationship with her, it's not exclusive. Chances are, she's lying, but you don't care, because no is a no, no matter what the reason is. It's very unrealistic. The guy failed because: 1) The neg was done in a way without frame. Unless you are a confident man, the alpha, the big fish in the pond (or at least can do a convincing job of pretending to be one), then neg will not work for you. The reason neg works is the confidence you can throw behind it. 2) The neg was not creative, interesting, or funny. 3) The purpose of the neg was to get a response out of the chick. All games revolve around getting face time. Chumps do it by offe…

I'm not aware British women are worse, although Southern California women certainly set the bar pretty high. If British women are to be worse, that title isn't easy to wrestle out of our local ladies' hands. But I think there's quite a bit of grass is greener thing going. I know I'm under that effect as well.

Technically, she's free to fuck whoever she wants, even your "good friend". But that's the technicality regarding dating/romance. What you have between your "good friend" and you is friendship. Your good friend is breaking that friendship. Some people are hardcore and believe in "the code". I don't but I believe you should at least ask about it. So your "good friend" may not be such good friends. Also, another possibility, your ex may be lying. Verify first before deciding what to do with your f…

Just don't show up. Like you said, she's just hustling you. Even if this were just a normal dating situation without any hustling, would you be surprised that sometimes a chick will just flake out? Yup, that means you are free to flake out too, for any reason. This is actually a really good reason to do so. Even if you run into her again in the future, just give her some excuse and say next time you'll come in and sign up, and she better be prepared for that date, with a big smile, then never ca…

Emotional tampon is when the man gets nothing back in return. It's perfectly fine to invest, if you are getting back what you want as well. For example, kind of cute girl I used to work with, kept in touch, but every time she called me it was to ask me for something. So one time I hardcore hit on her, just to see if the continued association was worth it for me... I was going to plate her, since she offered no friendship benefits. She backed off and disappeared, good. Another friend I've know fo…

I'm old so back in my day there was no TRP. But I discovered TRP-like principles by getting punched in the face enough times. I was hitting on this hot little Filipina, she was friendly and receptive, but stopped me from going further. So I stayed nice, but I stopped caring and hit on another chick in the same social group. The Filipina changed her mind real quick, and became my GF soon after. But easy come easy go, the relationship didn't last. I was partially at fault, because back then I didn…

China traditionally had been a polygamous patriarchy society, and had been so for thousands of years, until fairly recently (maybe last couple of hundred of years or so?). The stable dynasties have lasted hundreds of years, and the short-lived ones were probably more due to the emperor being an asshole and less due to hopeless angry young men. Even though in pre-modern China, it was men, that had many wives, I'd expect modern polygamy to be gender-neutral. I assume if the US suddenly legalizes p…

I consider the whole marriage thing from three different perspectives. First, the living arrangement aspect, i.e. who you live with, who you sleep with. Open marriages are not illegal, as long as you only have one legal spouse. You can knock up other women while you're married, with or without the consent of your legal spouse. So polygamy is a non-issue here. All it takes is for everyone involved to agree to the arrangement (ideally, or there will be lots of hurt feelings, which is not illegal).…

Who cares about them? The less people practice TRP, the more effective it becomes. Imagine if every man is walking around being TRP, now you have to be ultra-TRP. We are afterall, each other's competition. This is balanced out by the altruism of wanting to help other men in need. So the easiest solution is to let BP be BP. Then everyone wins.

Cool. I mean they don't have to be only the ballsack emptier. But if that's the path you prefer that's fine too -- but they could take on more significant and meaningful position (no pun intended) in your life. It's not butthurt. But I would leave it open and put the ball in their court, then move on to other women. If a woman wants you, don't worry, she will let you know. "She wants you but she accidentally forgot to get your attention" never ever happens. You can delete their number if you like. For me I don't care either way. I probably won't spend the effort to delete numbers until I get a new phone or have to do some house cleaning of my contact list. They're just not important enough to warrant i…

Wow... a woman in Dubai, not a good place to be. Good luck to her. First AWALT is about women's tendencies. But a woman may choose NOT to follow those tendencies. Like for example, there are a few women at work that I would fuck, that's my man-tendency. But I'm not going to, because I don't want to endanger my job, thus I'm going against my tendencies. Doesn't mean I don't want to, but that I won't do it. Same with women, and that's what AWALT is. The second they become weak and give in, they wi…

It's mostly how you act, and less what you look like, although that matters too. Like TRP says, go lift weights. Being you are a slender Asian, you are probably a hard gainer. But that's ok, just get a bit of mass, even though you will not be able to look big, you can easily get ripped. I agree. Video games is entertainment. We all need some sort of entertainment to unwind; something we enjoy. It doesn't have to be video games, but it could. There's a lot to be said about doing something unconstructive and unproductive, but it helps you balance your mental sanity. With that said, if all you do is something that is unconstructive and unproductive, then you are a loser. It doesn't have to be video games. It could be... yes... getting plates. Not really. I've had some women continue to be friends, and some that didn't want to. I didn't see any patterns of high quality women wanting to be friends while low qualities ones didn't. It's is typical however, to dial back the friendship, once they (or I) get into a new relationship, out of respect for the relationship partner. Anyway, if she has feelings for you still, then the right thing to do is to stop contact.

Some women are just after the attention, they actually don't want anything else. This is especially true for older women, because they are not getting the same amount of attention they used to get when they were younger. When I was dating one of my ex's, she had an older female friend that was quite attractive for her age. The problem is, logically you know this is true... there are plenty of women... but emotionally you don't feel it. This is because you haven't had much success (I assume), and it goes into a negative feedback loop. You need to change that feedback loop to positve. To fix this, do what women do... use practice partners. Women flirt with men they have no interest in for entertainment and practice. They use men (betas) as emotional tampons and boyfriend substitutes to do all the heavy lifting but g…

Yup this. OP, if he wants anal, you don't, then you two aren't sexually compatible afterall. Just like if you really like your pussy eaten, and you hook up with a guy that will not go down on you. Well... it is what it is, neither of you are wrong, you are just not compatible. If you are just looking for a fuck buddy, it's actually easier for women to get sex than it is for men. Nah, shave. And this is coming from a guy with long hair most of my life, and I'd have random women, and men, comment about my hair, and many women would "break the ice" with me by talking to me about my hair -- I do long hair well, but I'm balding. Once it thins enough, I'm shaving it. Nothing creepier than a balding long hair guy. I already donate to Locks of Love, when that day comes it'll be my last donation.

I'm with you. High n-count at best is a possible indication of other problems, but by itself is not a problem for me. Low n-count is also a possible indicator of other problems, like for example, unusual sexual inhibition, etc. I've learned that to function well in a society, by default you have to conform. You don't have to, but you better have a good reason for it, and be prepared to suffer the consequences. So the best n-count to have is "average", whatever that means, because unusually high …

Maybe so, but it's pretty low down on the list sorted by importance. I think it's up to the participants of the marriage more so than some random third party, to uphold the institution that is marriage. If the only way a marriage will not break down is if there is no third party approaching the marriage, and the second that happens the SO will jump ship... I don't think that fits the spirit of marriage very well.

I think it's about biting the bullet and do the traditional marriage, with this difference. You select the woman based on: Her ability to be a good mom. You two are capable of working together to achieve difficult common goals (raising kids and dealing with life) without choking each other out. When conflicts arise... and they will... you two have complementary style that will help diffuse the situation as opposed to digging in and starting the next world war. And none of this sounds sexy. Because even if there's a gem at the end of the earth, let's face it, we can spend an entire life…

That's why I always try to date more than one woman at a time. I wasn't think of being in a position of power, it's just being smart by not putting all of your eggs in one basket. Plus I act like an idiot when I'm afflicted with oneitis and most likely will screw things up.

Which is why I think cohabitation is very important before marriage. It's more likely that people will slip up and show their true colors during cohabitation. Not fool-proof of course, but IMHO it helps. Also that's why I believe you need overwhelming evidence/desire/reason to get married, as opposed to the cultural norm which is you have to explain why you don't want to get married.

LOL, here's one of my favorite jokes, although it's an oldie, but surprisingly insightful. How many women does it take to change a light bulb? Just one. She holds the light bulb while the world revolves around her.

Sure, AWALT may be built into humans, but we are also modified by our circumstances and experiences. My biology told me to have children, start a family, raise my next generation, to propogate my genetic material. I overwrote it due to having grown up in a dysfunctional family and scarred psychologically. I don't have children and do not want any. I gave away my evolutionary advantage, or rather, intentionally failed my evolutionary occupation. Given any "AWALT" or I suppose "AMALT" attribute, t…

Within the context of TRP, it's okay to say AWALT, even though the theoretical truth is not all woman are like anything. There will always be someone, at least one person, that's not like "that", whatever "that" may be, AWALT or All-Men-Are-Pigs, or whatever. So really it's an issue about launching your point from a defensible position. When you use absolutes such as AWALT, you are immediately opening up a weakness for your opposition to launch an attack against. Whether you are successful in de…

As far as being "beta", I disagree. It depends on what you want out of life. The whole game of wooing women is something that takes effort, work and practice, just like anything else. It is perfectly fine for someone to want to do this, and be very involved in reading, studying, and practicing various theories of how this social game works. It is also perfectly fine for someone that says, no I don't want to. Truely being beta is willing stay in a place where you give the position of power to wom…

I have, that's why I've decided I will never get married, which is one way to solve this problem. It's almost like there are two solutions. One... be able to see past the physical and be attracted to inner beauty. Or two, don't get married. I happened to pick number two, but as long as I want LTR, one is still an issue. But thanks for pointing these out. For some reason, it's a different impact when I hear it from someone else, even if it's something I know already in my mind. I'll have to reall…

Yeah, I know that's what I'm supposed to do. But easier said than done. In a way, I've been too clever. I jump ship before women can ruin my life. I think once women have devastated my life, say through divorces, then I'll have the fuel to make this transition. I'm a very independent person, I'm okay with dying alone, so far I just don't have the mojo to make that leap, even though logically I see where I'm supposed to land.

I'm starting to come to the same conclusion. Your list is pretty much spot on. I'm older than you are, so I've made a lot of concessions where #1 doesn't necessarily bother me anymore. I just consider that "relationship development time", and I don't need to do anything that interests me during that time. But, combined with #2, that's what kills it for me, because they want to do "relationship development time" 24/7. I need my time. I think relationships are for people that really really want it…

But looks like you've already chosen a path. No one can tell you the path is right or wrong. You stick to your guns and either way you'll learn something. Agree. The man's wife is just acting like a woman. Granted not women are like this, but living your life banking on the goodwill of others (hoping the woman happens to have a kind heart) is asking for trouble. I think the fact that the guy turned to substance abuse made his recovery even more difficult. I personally try to associate alcohol with good times. I sort of agree with this too. All the "bad behaviors" she's exhibiting aren't all that bad, and one would be hard-pressed, if it's even possible at all, to find a woman that doesn't behave like this. The only bad things I see are like you said, she's unmotivated and doesn't have much to offer in terms of superficial qualities. He can dump this chick and get one that's of percevied higher value, but she will come with a whole bag of shit, like every other woman (to be fair, person). So it's like…

Even without considering these, marriage is supposed to be a life long and potentially difficult commitment. Men and women SHOULD get married, but only if they have overwhelming reason/desire to do so. Exactly. For women, at the very least they can use online dating as an ego booster, just because there are a bunch of creepy guys tripping all over themselves trying to get slivers of attention. But those are not the kind of guys women want, so my online dating female friends always complain about getting a bunch of losers and wierdos.

Exactly, imagine the rest of us that don't fit that profile. I only recommend online dating to men that are already pulling in chicks in real life, but they want to add another avenue of doing so. It just has such a low chance of working out that most men should not depend on it. And they are really not missing much if they don't use it.

Taking the man's last name just tradition. These days, some women will hyphenate their last names together. Some will keep their own last names. Some people will cohabitate without marriage. And some man will take the woman's last name. It's just one of those things that a couple has to work out and negotiate, which is basically what relationships mean... negotiation and the resulting compromise. Online dating sucks for most guys. It, at most, should be used as an additional low-effort avenue to meet women. It should never replace real life approaches. But some men can pull it off. Most sought after men are Caucasian, around 6 feet tall, average to athletic build. If you don't fit that profile, unless you are exceptionally good at online dating, you'll probably have better luck with the tradtional socialize and approach method.

I wouldn't do this, but I have no problem when other men pull this trick. If the women weren't gold diggers, they would not have fallen for this. When you play the game, sometimes you lose, gold diggers shouldn't be immune to this. I look at the OP as a "balance". As far as I'm concerned, it's the same as women that put up a photo of themselves 10 years ago and 50lbs lighter, or being an expert at dressing and applying makeup so when you get to see them au naturel, you go... yikes... Yeah, using TRP buzzwords and jargons, or taking a too scientific sounding approach will turn people off. Because people think matters of the heart should not be treated so "coldly", and it has to involve flowers, butterflies, and unicorns. I've always asked for a date, and I've had my successes. If the woman likes you, you have to really fuck it up to lose your chance. Minor details like date vs join you doesn't make much of a difference. But I suppose for fine-tuning your game, this have some merit. Some women get scared at the mention of "date". Women are very good with words. They have euphemisms for everything. They are also very good at being someone they want others to see. Good job not getting hooked to a gold digger.

Well, what you did wasn't right either. Passive aggression feels good, but will end up damaging your relationship. She thought you were being mean, didn't realize she dropped the ball first. To do this right you probably should call her out on it. My girlfriend tend to do this too. Not quite as bad. What she would do is after dinner or something, she would get on her phone for a long time. I would either ask her if she's ready to leave if we were out, then after a few minutes she will put her ph…

Men tend to be attracted to physical beauty. Women tend to be attracted to social status. Both genders see and understand physical beauty, but appreciate it differently. That is all.

Satisfying read. I'm surprised people on TwoXChromosomes ripped into her. I thought that subreddit is all about support. She's not gold digger on the level of V Stiviano, but she is using a typical woman trick -- using break up to get what she wants... assuming she didn't lie to lessen the gold digging-ness of her post. This is actually an "accepted" power struggle practice according to many women, as my female friends, who were undoubtedly on my side, have suggested that pulling something like …

You don't. Introducing RP to people that are not ready will only backfire. BP guys will throw you under the bus just so they can curry favor from women. They have to have been punched in the face repeatedly by women/life enough, and finally when they can't take it anymore, they start questioning themselves, that's when RP can come in. Before that happens, they will just reject you and your RP ways. Do nothing. They need to fall hard. That's how people learn.

Yes, this. Only the lawyers win, but yes, the court system generally doesn't care about gender, the person with more assets loses, although there may be individual cases where the judge could be more sympathetic towards one side. It seems divorce rape is only against men because traditionally men are the ones with more assets. But gender equality has changed that, and some women do have sizable assets these days, and moving forward, the difference between men and women will be less and less. So …

Yeah, /u/Clint_Redwood has some good ones. But from a more theoretical side, what you can do is to develop a fake personality. Mine is an over confident narcissistic asshole that thinks I'm gods gift to this world, in a comical and exaggerated way (you do have to make it entertaining). So when this happens, think about how that personalty would respond. These types of responses should always be situational and based on quick thinking, but if you draw a blank, you can fall back on your fake perso…

Do you have any sources where the side effects have been clinically disproven? All I found have been things like this: http://www.drugwatch.com/propecia/side-effects/ http://www.rxlist.com/propecia-side-effects-drug-center.htm

Wow, great advise, I have to try some of this. Right now I'm using Rogain + Bosley shampoo and conditioner. It has drastically slowed down my hair loss, but I'm not regrowing any hair. But I would encourage the OP to research Propecia. Not everyone will suffer the side-effects. You are lucky that you didn't but who knows if OP will. This is something that OP needs to decide for himself if the risk is worth it.

Software engineer here too. You have to be interesting first. If you're not interesting, then computer nerd = creepy guy with no social skills. If you're interesting, then computer nerd = guy with a good job. It's all about self improvement, plus practicing social situations.

Well, we're supposed to select what makes sense to us from TRP. For me, I've never had issues with female friends, they are great. It's when there's romance/sex involved, that things could get complicated, depending on if she's high drama or not. So I actually highly recommend female friends. But just like there are shitty male friends, there are shitty female friends too, choose carefully. Women like that are used to getting their way, so they are constantly pushing to get their way, or to prep…

/u/abdada has a great point. The goal of the abundance mentality isn't to have the abundance mentality, it's not to put a particular woman on a pedestal. You can do it by understanding there are plenty of fishes in the sea, and if this one falls flat, you can get another one easy. Or, like /u/abdada said, you go do something else that's worth while, like developing a skill, fulfilling a bucket list. I feel this is a great perspective. But fake it till you make it certainly works. It's better tha…

Yeah, these are common mistakes that I fall into as well. Unfortunately I've got the abundance mentality down so well that it was hurting me. Because when the going gets tough, I just say "see ya" and go find the next chick. So I've never really stayed in an LTR and grind it out, and I never learned these concepts, my limits... etc. I have now. I understand LTRs a lot better, and I'm not impressed. I may go back to the "see ya later" attitude, but at least this time around, I can say I've been t…

That's a good point, I thought of the situation - we both like the same things, but I didn't think of the actual specifics of the order. You are helping me already, to think in a direction I didn't think of before. She's Hispanic, and I like Latinas, although disclaimer, I'm in a relationship and I have no plans to cheat, but that doesn't mean I don't want to be witty and good at social situations. Anyway, it was a chicken sandwich, with the usual stuff, but I always order jalapeno slices becaus…

All is fair in love and war. The only thing important is that you can negotiate with your own conscience after (and stay legal of course). So if you have love songs as a tool under your belt, use it. Although you may want to stop using words like "lure". Use "inspire" instead. Women love euphemisms.
/r/askTRP

If it makes you feel better, you are not the cause, you are just a symptom. If you weren't there she'd be swallowing someone else's cum. And if you had more plans with this woman other than a fling, you'd be in for a big surprise. You only look good to her because she wants out. If she manages to break up, chances are she'll lose interest in you (unless maybe if you play her hard, but it's kind of not worth it). Also, she's a cheater, chances are, she will cheat on you in the future. Also, BTW, …

Did you not read the part where he did not tell her where he and the kids are going? Taking the kids on a vacation is great, but I would think maybe you should at least tell your SO your plans? So you are saying you come home Friday after work, your husband took the kids on a surprise vacation without telling you, so you have no idea what happened or where they are. Instead of being worried, you'd go take a spa break.... hmm.... interesting.

The trick, much like dating, is quantity. You're not looking for life-long friends, those will happen naturally. You are looking for expansion of your social group. I made an effort to never turn down any invitations. As a result, I went to A LOT of parties. You don't even need to be the cool guy or the alpha life of the party. Show your face, be cool, you will become part of the crowd, and not only get invited to future parties, but also the parties of the other people in the social circle. But…

I believe everyone needs to experience crap sometimes. Here we are, guiding everyone away from crap, but unless you've experienced crap and got out of it, you are missing a very important piece. In fact, if he doesn't experience crap himself, as in first hand experience, he will continue to second guess himself, regardless of how much an Internet forum tells him not to. This is the difference between first and second hand knowledge. The only way to never second guess yourself, is if you experien…

Not sure if this is worth breaking up over, but I don't think you did the wrong thing necessarily. You are both young, this is a long distance relationship, chances are, this relationship isn't going to last, with or without the bar issue. You could have stayed in the relationship and tried to navigate it until it fails, you would have learned some important lessons about yourself (your limits, likes and dislikes...etc) and how to deal with women. But either way, it's fine. You'll get plenty of …
