With a boy it makes sense developmentally that it needs a strong male role model more than a female one since 9/10 every authority figure it will have through school will be female, for a daughter it's debatable if a father being present will curtail unwanted behaviours later on but the presence will atleast mitigate the chances of her sleeping with 60 year old for attention
