Yes Humans have been used as Messengers and Prophets but that doesn't mean that the beliefs are man-made. Islam promotes the proper functioning of society and the community lifestyle including families and marriage with the right legislation and expectations between men and women. If a correctly implemented sharia law and lifestyle system was implemented in a country I feel quite confident you wouldn't even want to "go your own way".
