Maybe satirical was the wrong word. "Ridiculous, dramatic, and over the top" is probably a better description. A few examples would be The Queen is Dead, Frankly Mr. Shankly, Ask, etc. Then again, sometimes he was serious. According to Simon Goddard, who wrote The Songs That Saved Your Life, Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others can pretty much be taken literally. Apparently Johnny Marr wasn't too happy with the lyrics because he considered this to be his best guitar work yet and then Morrissey topp…

Can you elaborate? I'm a huge Smiths fan and from what I know of the situation, Morrissey has often claimed that he's not very well endowed. I believe in his early days he had plenty of women but he never felt confident because of his size, so he gave up on them. A good example of this can be found in Pretty Girls Make Graves.
