Yes that is literally all I wanted. We talked about it again and the convo went like Me: can you take the initiative to plan more things for us? Him: there’s nothing to do here Me: really? You can’t think of a single thing to do? Be creative Him: I’m not creative Also him: I don’t care what we’re doing as long as I’m doing it with you. It sounds nice on the surface but it’s actually putting so much emotional and decisional labor on me. I don’t want to be with someone who’s just tagging along to …

In hindsight I actually fucked up during the vetting process. For our first date, I picked the location / activity. For our date where we became official, I chose the restaurant and made the reservations. Honestly I should have waited for him to show initiative early on in dating because now there’s an expectation that he doesn’t need take any initiative to get me.

Had a talk with my bf about wanting him to take more initiative in planning dates. He victimized himself saying how I think there’s 100 things wrong with him and that I don’t love him. This just sent me to so many levels of wtf. And it’s not the first time he’s victimized himself like that. If my friend can plan a better friend date than he can plan a romantic date then what am I doing with him? I thought he was HV but now I’m really questioning him and our relationship.

We talked again last night and I told him I will consider dating him again once he lands a job. Not sure when that is going to be but I feel like I did the right thing for myself.

I just ended things with a guy I’ve been dating for 7 months. The whole time we’re dating, he was broke, didn’t have a job, but was looking for one. I told him I didn’t want to be in a relationship with a man with no job especially because I work hard for my job, make six figures and I would want my boyfriend to be close to being my equal financially. Despite this, we kept dating and he’s been extremely thoughtful, still paid for everything, drives an hour to see me and back every weekend, alway…

How many guys do you have on your roster at a single time? Right now I’m actively talking to ~30 guys on apps and texting. I do have favorites but it is mentally exhausting keeping up with so many. I feel obligated to reply if I have the least bit interest in someone so as not to ghost if they message me first.

Lmao reminds me of my ex. I put on some lingerie the night of my birthday to make myself feel sexy and because I thought he would enjoy it. He wasn’t appreciative of it at all, not the reaction I wanted. Suffice it to say, we ended up breaking up a couple weeks ago, one of the main reasons being that we were physically incompatible. I thought physical incompatibility is something that I can overlook because I should be prioritizing making the relationship last long term, and beauty and physical …

Yet FDS has been teaching women to pay attention to the exact red flags mentioned in the comments of the post...

I exhibit HVW traits when I’m single and during the beginning stages of a new relationship, but once a relationship gets more serious, my anxious attachment system gets triggered. I’m seeing a life coach so I can learn how to cope whenever my anxiety arises. Although I wouldn’t consider myself a Pickmeisha, I wouldn’t say I’m 100% a HVW yet, but I’m slowly changing my habits / the way my brain tends to think and internalizing FDS teachings. The stuff on this sub has actually done wonders for my …
