But my point is that I don't think it's necessarily "fair" to assume all single mothers have this mentality. And most of them aren't white. Benevolent sexism is upheld by many feminists which I think is honestly terrible. I mean. A lot of men are feminists as well and certainly don't believe that. It doesn't seem related to the commercial. 70% of children are still raised in homes with two parents and 50 million have their original parents raising them. Additionally when we pressure women not to get abortions, be educated, practice safe sex then we are failing them and if course men too. I think the point is missed here. People are assuming that because the child is brought up by the mother it's her fault solely for the poor behavior.
